The bible didn't necessarily need to report every single thing that God created.

Why then tell us that he created them?.
As at the period the Bible was written, the primitive men had no idea whether other planets exist.

When a job description is being outlined, only the pertinent matters are put down. Follow the international space station and NASA on IG to see their latest advances in exploration and you'll easily reach these conclusions

1. Earth is by far the most complex and important planet in the solar system.

2. Earth is the only planet that has all the complex conditions (temperature, pressure, humidity, light, vegetation and gravity to mention a few) in just the most adequate amounts necessary for the unaided proliferation of human life.

With reference to John 3:16, if God really loves the earth and its inhabitants the way the passage explains, and if the two points above are valid, it would seem logical that that the planet that is home to human beings would be a suitable point of reference when the world is being referred to.

First, god didn't create any heaven and earth.

Every culture and religion have their own versions of how the universe came to about dismissing creation stories of their counterparts.

Creation of heaven and earth are just stories that kept on thriving via religion
