Lagos State to increase cost of Road Worthiness
Private cars to pay up to 3,850 and SUVs to pay up to 4,600....

The process as far as we know, involves....:
1. We will still go to VIO to write road worthiness receipt - cost N1,250
2. We have to proceed to the inspection center(s) - There is still only one in Lagos at Ojodu Bager for the inspection where we will have to pay about N2,600 depending on your vehicle type anyways....

Details of the amount to be paid is attached below....

I don't understand what the noise is all about. The government want you to take your car to the center for physical inspection where lives and property will be secured. The center will accommodate the Insurance platform where you can get genuine insurance at the press of the button. The center also allows you to obtain your tinted permit free of charge, no middleman. You will also get your BCMR Bio metrics Central Motor Registry card that gives you final protection against the loss of your vehicles. The BCMR is the Police response to stem the rising tide of stolen vehicles. All you need to do is to ensure that you get your correct engine number and Vin number and fill the form online together with your tinted permit application. You bring the vehicle to the center for biometrics capture and you will be issued with a smart card that covers the details of your vehicle i.e, vehicle license, Insurance, Roadworthy Cert and the BCMR all in a smartcard. We are too big to take our vehicles to these centers and imagine Gazzuzz going to Oyo to get the manual certificate for 1750. Na rain water he go take go there? The BCMR will eliminate all the paper documents that you carry now. Just the card and anywhere you are stopped for checks, present the card and the Police will through the card get all the information that is needed. Car Reg, your job is at stake right now.

The centers are already open but every motorist for bcmr and tinted should go to the police website for tinted permit and fill the form. You can get genuine insurance policy at the center for just 5000. That will eliminate the wrong information that usually accompany third party as per colour of the vehicle. Get your roadworthy certificate after you go through the computerised testing where everything related to the emissions, headlamp settings, tyres, brakes, suspension and bushings are checked within 10 mins.

Think permit is now free....

All you need to do is to fill the vehicle details here in the URL
http://www.npf.gov.ng/tinted/

After this, you will generate a print out.
You will then take the print our to the force HQ in Ikeja (if you are in Lagos)
At Force HQ, you will do data capture and that is it...
