Finding right kind of used car auction deals

Used car auction is a great place to get branded vehicles at competitively lower prices. Used car auctions are held by used car dealers. Buying at an auction has its own pros and cons when compared to buying directly from a used car center. One of the main factors that determine the auction quality is the nature and kind of auction held. It won’t be wise to buy from one-day auctions held at fairs or trade exhibitions. There is no guarantee about the dealers and also the quality and past history of the vehicles sold at such spots are uncertain.

It is always safer to buy from a reputed used car auction that involves lot of well branded vehicles. Even in internet you can find information about good used car auction deals. There are car exporting companies that conduct yearly car auctions. These auctions are advertised online so as to invite more audience. Such reputed dealers offer cars that are used only for a short period of time. In other words, you need not worry about quality issues. However, one of the disadvantages of buying from popular used car auction is that there is a good of chance of higher bids. Since many car enthusiasts buy from such auctions they would raise the prices with higher bids and you might end up paying more than average used value (in the market) of the model you are buying.

In any case, used car auction is a great option if you know how to find reputed dealers.

Bentley Continental GT Speed (2013)

Fond of brutish, authoritative automotive statements, WO Bentley, the founder of the marque bearing his name, would likely have approved of the new Bentley Continental GT Speed. Under its hood lurks a 6-litre 12-cylinder engine producing 616 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. A civilised grand tourer with racecar performance (zero to 60mph in 4 seconds flat and a top speed of 205mph), the GT Speed is equally in its element charging along at triple-digit speeds or wafting through Beverly Hills. Finding reliable used car auction deals

Used cars have a huge market both among international as well as domestic car buyers. In this age of economic uncertainty buying a new car is not always a practical option for many of us. Nevertheless, cars still remain a form of basic necessity when it comes to hassle free traveling. This is the reason why used car dealers are so much in demand.

Buying at a used car auction is a popular system wherein both the buyers and the sellers try to maximize their benefits in return for the investment made by them. If you are a seller and you wish to secure the best possible price for your car, then putting it up for auction is the easiest way out. Auctions are a direct attempt to bag the best deal available in the market.

If you look around, you will find that different types of used car auction deals are available out there. Some of the most popular ones are public auctions held by government agencies and banks. Auction of government seized autos always secures high bids. At such auctions you get to buy luxury cars, high performing trucks, bikes etc at very low prices. Banks and financial institutions lend money for buying cars and other vehicles but they forcefully take custody of such vehicles if the owners fail to pay their installments. Even lending institutions conduct used car auction of vehicles seized from their ‘defaulting parties’ who has failed to pay off their loans.

Nowadays, used car auction dealers are also active through online trading platforms like eBay etc.

2015 Cadillac CTS

Austin Healey 3000 MKIII (1965)

This Healey typifies the genre of affordable British post-World War II sports cars. Exported to the US in droves, these cars helped rescue the island’s motor manufacturers. (The first car sold for Mattel’s Barbie doll was, in fact, a pink Healey.) The 3000, designed by the famed racer and engineer Donald Healey and assembled by the giant British Motor Corporation, debuted to acclaim in 1959. By the time the more powerful MKIII version bowed in 1963, the roadster was fully developed and had authored a successful history in motorsport, and even a few production-car speed records. Exporting salvage cars USA: Some important tips

Exporting salvage cars is a tricky business. This is because claiming the title to the ownership of salvage cars USA is slightly more difficult than the non-salvaged ones. Salvage cars are those that have been salvaged or recovered after getting stolen, lost or embroiled in an accident. Hence, when you are buying salvage cars, you may have to struggle to prove your ownership unless you can produce all the evidential documents to the custom authorities.

In general, the insurance company that salvages the car becomes its new owner since it has already made the full compensation to the original owner. In such a scenario, during the auction sale, the company transfers the ownership to the dealer or the purchaser. But in case of an illegal, immoral sale, the original owner may budge in and demand his rights.

That’s precisely why you must make sure that you are ready with important documents like the invoice, sales receipt, vehicle’s VIN number, etc. Most US states demand these documents to verify the authenticity of the auction/sale before the vehicle can be given a go-ahead for the export.

While buying salvage cars USA, you must also minutely examine the car since the seller is likely to underplay the damage suffered by the car in the relevant scenario. You shall be paying a decent sum for getting the purchasing rights of the vehicle and you would also have to clear the state taxes, if applicable, and custom duties. Therefore, make sure that the vehicle’s condition is as good as is being projected.

Aston Martin DB5 (1965)

The DB5 is the definitive gran turismo: brawny yet sophisticated, sensuous yet square-jawed. James Bond drove one equipped with revolving number plates and an ejector seat; civilian versions used a hand-built in-line six-cylinder engine with 280 horsepower, matched to a manual gearbox and wrapped in an elegant, lightweight aluminium body. Some 47 years after its auspicious debut, the DB5 made a cameo appearance in last year’s Bond instalment, Skyfall, ascending to hero status all over again. (Martyn Goddard)
