1. Toyota Motor Corporation started in 1937 as a division of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. While the Toyota Group is now best known for its cars, they are still in the textile business as well.

2. The founder of Toyota Motor Corporation actually spells his name T-O-Y-O-D-A. Kiichiro Toyoda, to be exact. The spelling of the company name was changed to Toyota because when it is written in Katakana (a Japanese script) it only takes 8 strokes to write, and 8 is a lucky number in East Asian culture.

3. Kiichiro Toyoda, son of the founder of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, got ideas for the first Toyota cars from the United States. He traveled to the US in 1929 to investigate automobile production because Japan needed to start producing domestic vehicles due to their war with China. Early Toyota’s bear a striking resemblance to the Dodge Power Wagon and Chevrolet.

4. The Korean War saved Toyota. The company was on the verge of bankruptcy, and produced only 300 trucks in June of 1950. In the first few months of the Korean War, the US ordered more than 5,000 vehicles from Toyota, and the company was revived.

5. In the year 2011, Toyota was ranked as the third largest car manufacturer in the world, behind General Motors and Volkswagen Group.

How to Buy Accident Damaged (Salvage Title) Cars?
Hah, some people want to buy salvage damaged cars, because they think that buying and next repairing of this car will be cost less than new car. In this case, they right.
But if you know, buying of this type of car is a tricky business; you may buy non-repairable junk, for example. So, I have some advices for you, and I hope that it will help you on your way.

What is a salvage title vehicle?
A vehicle with a salvage title identifies it as being an accident vehicle, flood damaged or as a theft recovery. The insurance company often designates this type of vehicle as a total loss and decides to sell it to a salvage or auction salvage dealer. The dealer then offers it to the consumer as a salvage vehicle to be repaired and inspected for road safety.


So, how you can buy a good salvage vehicle?
First, learn the different between a salvage title and a normal vehicle title. A salvage title can be identified as a restored title, rebuilt from salvage, revived title or rebuilt title. Understand that insurance companies will offer insurance for a car with a salvage title, but the car will have a lower value than a car with a normal clear title.
