PR is for permanent immigration, while you have to promise to return in a Study Visa application. It is easy to see how these are contradictory.

What does the shaded mean? Better to get the PR application to a logical conclusion before starting the study visa, and hopefully you won't need it.

[Thanks for your response. The processing timeline for the PR has elapsed. My file is in Accra Visa Office. They’re not responding to webforms, probably due to this pandemic.
I don’t know if someone can use study permit to cross over instead of waiting till God knows when]

Pls gurus in the house, is it possible for someone who applied for PR to also apply for Canadian student visa?
I just got admission into one of the colleges in Ontario which is different from the province (Manitoba) that nominated me for PR.
Since the PR is not forthcoming, I decided to apply for admission.
Please am I on the right path? Hope it won’t affect my study permit application.
I would appreciate your sincere advice.
