Politics › Re: $322m Abacha Loot: List Of States To Receive Cash In July by Casualbox: 12:08pm On Jun 29, 2018 |
Ebullience: The Federal Government says it will commence disbursement of the recovered 322 million dollars Abacha loot through Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT) to 302,000 poor households in 19 states in July.
Tukur Rumar, of the National Cash Transfer Office (NTCO), disclosed this at a roundtable on assets recovery organised by the Swiss Embassy on Thursday, in Abuja.
The states include: Niger, Kogi, Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Kwara, Cross River, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarrawa, Anambra and Internally Displaced Persons Camps (IDPs) in Borno.
According to Rumar, the benefiting households will receive N5,000 monthly.
Mr Iorwa Apera, the National Coordinator, National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office (NASSCO), said 503,055 households were already on the NSR register from the 19 states, adding that by July, there would be a social register for all the states of the federation.
“The Federal Government would begin with those states, because they had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NASSCO to put in place certain infrastructure to empower the national register.
“Some of the states delayed, but the other ones were quick enough to set up infrastructure that allowed us to start work there, but all the states are now on board as they have set up their state operating offices and donated office equipment to us.
“As states come on board, we enroll and so they extend to the beneficiary register, and presently we are generating data in all the states now,’’ he said.

Casualbox: Good day Nlander,

I applied for tourist visa sometimes in October but I was refused based on "transactions on the account lacks credibility" even though my account statement was ledgit from the bank.
I am looking at applying next month but this time around with my wife.
I am a young entrepreneur while she works with multinational coy
My question are as follows
1) can I use my account for both of us or her own? 2) do we have to apply together or separate our application
What again do you think that I should know?
I look forward to reading your response. Please.....Kindly advise my people Thanks |

pokenzy: Thanks for your response.
My closing balance was about 600k
Recent fund transfered was 500k.
What might be the best solution to the issue. Hmmmmm I had the same challenge about a month ago but I decided not to re-apply immediately i will rather leave the money in my account till January...Then rea-apply. Trust me....Just let it go and apply some other time...don't let them think you are desperate to Nigeria. #1cent |

Please oh.... I need your advise o. What should I next? Apply now or later?... and on what ground? Casualbox: @justwise and other guru in the house.
Finally I submitted on last week and I got an SMS to pick my passport this wee.
On getting back there I discovered that I was not issued the visa based on..... "Transaction attached on bank statement lack credibility"
The account in question is my personal account but thinking back i remembered that about 500k was transferred to me by a customer on Friday to make my balance 900k plus. I printed my statement on Monday after I bought goods worth 470k but the lady that attended to me in the bank said that the statement will stop as at Friday.
VFS said I can re-apply within the next 10days.
Kindly advice. |

Kindly advise on what to do as regards my application.
A brother is inviting me to RSA. He already sent the IV and necessary documents.
The major challenge is that I am an entrepreneur with my establishment registered with CAC. I have a corporate account but I don't really use it so I will like to know if I can use my personal account.
Aslo, if I have to introduce myself using the company Letter head paper (so far I do not have an employer)
Lastly, do I'm have to pay to make flight reservation.
Thank you all for your prompt response. |
