Na, we don't do that here sir, I can't even buy to resell here, who's going to buy from me Where everywhere is yam all through. And don't even think I'll bother buying to transport to the southern region, I didn't have that mental capacity. For an average northerner, a little profit just slightly above the cost price is just okay for him and that is contentment...wealth comes from the lord and not by selfishness and greed!

A massive profit sir..... this is the most expensive yams could ever get over the years since I was born in this place! So, don't even panic about his gains sir.

The bags packed on the ground beside the trailer truck is a sack containing shear butter seeds extracted from the Shear butter fruits from the Shear butter trees here. This bags are being shipped to other regions of the country for processing as raw materials to be converted to other finished goods and commodities ( I heard it's used for producing oils) I don't know the type though, maybe turkey oil or controller oil as it's commonly called here or something else.

Maize is here, groundnut is here, millet is here, guinea corn is here, yam Is here, white beans and soybeans will soon be out too by November and early December!

Everyone deserves right to eat and be alive! Food should be very much available and affordable regardless of what excuse for everybody!

I'm on the firm believe that what is the basis of survival such as food should not be an object of debate.

Funny enough, some other southerners even justify the reckless extortion by fellow compatriots in their regions and not even see evil in it. I read in this same forum here where some market women arrested their fellow woman that she was selling garri way more cheaper than them and as such will ruin the market for them, I don't know if anyone could remember that story here. I shocked my head in dismay at the reading through the news. It was pathetic and too bad. Arrogance In illegality. Some goods produced in the south that are shipped down here to the north are more cheaper here in the north than the southern region where it was originally produced or manufactured despite paying for transportation cost to bring it down here, yet it's still cheaper. Clothes, building materials to electrical fittings are way more cheaper here. I don't know why it is so over there. Some even brag about buying a cloth or a shirt for #25,000 there of which #10 to #15,000 could get the same equivalent of same quality here.

When some folks in the north post images of things and their prices, I see a lot people arguing that it's a lie and can't be possible. Well, I think the southern greedy traders have conditioned the brain of many people over there to always believe that it must be expensive and no any other way else, it's pathetic to see some other people crying for food which is supposed to be the basis of our existence and affordable to even the poorest amongst us, while some other people in the other places have this same food in abundance. Not always about the government being the issue but also the traders and the marketers too! Over here in my region, philanthropy, help of mankind and sympathy towards fellow humans is the other here. If not for the terrorism and killings going on here, cost of living and raising children with the best of life affordable things even to the poor are a bit easy here, ranging from housing to feeding to transportation and other basic necessities of life.

Things are really getting expensive everywhere but seems to be better in some locations than the other (greed and selfishness inclusive)!

go with watermelon,we tried it last year it worked,intercropped with pepper,forget the myth about melon and rain,good agricultural practice will bust the myth,good and timely pruning of melon to a max of 2-3 vines and weekly application of fungicide will solve the fungal problem, especially the pruning very critical,at 5-7 leaf stage remove the growing tip,it will try to grow vines from the leaf base,,leave 2-3 and remove the rest,this will make all the vine to grow uniformly,also remove any other lateral vine coming out from those selected vines the crop will focus all energy on those vines,when you have one pollinated fruit on a Vine remove the growing tip,the whole energy will focus to make the fruits bigger faster and you have a farm free of useless leafs and vines everywhere,causing poor ventilation,,poor pollination,lack of sunlight penetration ,small fruits,and cause of fungal diseases

This yam is bought by my mom for #4,500 and we're complaining of how have costly it is.

As you can see, it's a new yam unlike the one I previously wrote on my other thread above.
