hello, sir. Check. Around this thread's category, I think someone created a topic post on it. To answer your questions: first, it's prepaid, but not linked to your "gtb account". Yes, it has a higher USD limit than your naira debit card. Lastly, it's loaded via the "internet banking platform".

lol, of course they'll feign ignorance (classic 9ja customer service). Well, I got the info from their website myself... You can search "fcmb international card", on Google and navigate their official page for more info or clarity.

I believe the LC handling it is the "SUNYOU" that's written in the destination strip. Though, I haven't heard of them before.

The problem with public service of this nature is that it often lacks control. Nobody checks or oversees the affairs of these workers. Also it appears there is no channel to file a grievance. Eg which mail can one send mail to, or which phone number can one call to report a missing item that tracking showed arrived Nigeria?

Even if there are mail address or contacts, they are often unmonitored. Nobody really cares, this country's affairs is running on autopilot and those in charge are in the cockpits popping champagne while the aircraft spirals outta control.

So this type of behaviour breeds impunity, so every worker is now their own boss. No one questions or checkmates them. Sadly, most expensive items like phones that lands Nigeria will continue to "disappear" as those in charge are invisible and there is zero place one can go to raise alarm. The only time alarm is been raised is mostly from within, until a principled or no nonsense staff report these rogues or happenings, everyone is now under the mercy of these crooks who it appeared had tasted honey and realised it is much sweeter than water


The next thing that may happen is that AliExpress phone sellers will blacklist Nigeria. Who will blame them when they do? AE may advise them not to ship to Nigeria as the items will likely get lost in transit. Then who loses? The same Nigeria. I rest my case.

I dread this event. We get big time issues for this nation.

Navigate back to cards section and you'll find it there. A text will be revealed to you with your card details.

So, I got stuck at this point too. So, sent a complaint mail to customer service. They just called me now to inform me that the service has been discontinued and I will be informed when it's back online

Hi... please I placed an order and after a day I cancelled the order. And just now the seller dropped a message that the order has been shipped, meanwhile there is no update in respect to that. Please what can I do.

seems the seller didn't acknowledge you cancelling the order, it happened to me once (that's why you've to cancel within 24hrs. Reason some sellers take up to 2 days before shipping to avoid this). Anyways, your best is to file a dispute after protection period has elapsed... That's if you don't need said product anymore.

Yes (it's more or less the same rate), No (I believe there's no limit even if it's beyond $200. After all my goal was to go beyond $100) and Yes (it's very much capped at $3,000, at least that's what's said in their website).

Also I was charge a total of 500 naira for the card, but I see yours has VAT included. Don't know why that is.

He clearly stated it here that it’s a naira virtual card

The only card I can see when you login to the internet banking website is Virtual Naira Mastercard.

You also mentioned that the mobile app has the request virtual dollar card feature which is untrue.

Was charged 481.2 naira to a dollar. I arrived at that figure by comparing what I was charged with the price of the product in dollars, since I didn't receive a readjusted debit alert which they normally send after full payment confirmation.
