I can't help you there, I had a relative in Europe make my transfer for me. I believe I saw somewhere earlier on the thread that the full transfer costs either 13,000 or 23,000 naira. However, I'm not sure, please confirm from someone else or look up previous pages. Good luck
ExcelDeBaron:
Bros... Thanks a lot!! This has helped. Please, if I want to send a million, am assuming that access will charge for transfer right? Do you know the estimate of there charges? Am asking so that I will know how much to leave (for access bank charges) and how much to send. Thanks as I await your reply.

Sassy92 can you help?

The Fintiba 'Make the transfer' documents States that 'Your account number is the last 9 digits of your IBAN number'.
You can confirm on the last page of the document
ExcelDeBaron:
Guys please help me out here.

I am trying to fund my cousins blocked account with my access bank account. I have his IBAN and BIC/SWIFT CODE. But if I try to transfer, am seeing a column for bank account number. What is it? Should I ignore it and fill only the column for IBAN and Swift code then press send?

Had my interview on the 27th of August, I funded before but yet to receive my AM as well. I signed just 1 document. Since you've sent you Blocking confirmation, worry not, different states operate at different pace. We'll receive our AMs soon. smiley

builderperry:
I had my interview on the 21st of August, it's exactly 4 weeks today and I haven't received AM. I am worried, I was made to sign two documents, one which states that to further process my application, the consular is in need of a blocking confirmation which I sent on the 4th of September. I have a few questions to ask gurus

Does it mean that they started processing my application on the 4th?

People that got AM without funding, did you signed the document too?

I am going to Hamburg

Done that. Relatively new to nairaland, Not used to how it works. Thanks again for the insightful write up.

Chriswazo:
U might want to edit, cos I edited my post. I don't think is necessary to really quote it whole.

Amen to the prayers, we go up by helping people up. Unfortunately, some don't understand that.
Don't be afraid of sharing the information, d will never know more than u. Is a rule of life. Some people u will meet here will be beating about the bush for salient matters cos I think d are afraid of .... Or not just to comfortable to help fully.
U people should apply for these language programs o of ur schools, many are free and is very helpful. The language class fills up quickly especially for German A1.1, more reason u apply on time.
Bring a lot of jeans.

Oga thank you,

INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT – 27/08/2019 @ LAGOS

Got to the consulate by 6am and was asked to return by 6:30am. On return, I found a queue of people. I was the 5th student on the queue but because I had my documents properly arranged like I had seen on this forum some weeks back, I ended up being the first to be interviewed.
I was interviewed in Room 4 by an easy-going young man, he looked Nigerian. Here were the questions he asked me

QUESTIONS:

Are you married?
Do you have kids?
What is the name of the school your got admitted to?
What was your BSc course?
What is the MSc course you got admitted to?

He then asked me to pick up the phone for the interview proper:

Have you learnt German?
What was your BSc thesis?
Why this course?
What is your future career goal?
Why Germany?
Why not Nigeria?
Why not other English-speaking countries?
What can you tell me about Germany, Geographically, Politically, Economically, Sports, Culture etc?
What can you tell me about the State your School is located?

It felt more like a conversation than an official interview

Interview fee on the day was N30,000, so he refunded me N500

He was impressed that I had updated my blocked account to the new financial requirement
He was also happy I already had my travel insurance (all thanks to Fintiba plus)

He expressed concern that there was an extra name on my passport that was not on my birth certificate, but he told me not to bother about it, that it shouldn’t affect me. But advised me to back it up with my baptismal card any other time I go for something official (It’s my confirmation name)

When he asked Why Germany, one of my reasons was Willingness to learn a foreign language. He said it wasn’t a good reply. That I had all the time to learn the language in Nigeria and that I’d be too busy in Germany to learn it.

When he asked if I had learnt German, he didn’t like me beating around the bush about attending half an A1 level class and taking online classes at Germanpop101.com. He wanted a definitive answer, so I went with No.

My letter of motivation was handwritten and it wasn’t an issue on the day.

He said I should expect to hear from them before September runs out. (My enrollment deadline is 10th Oct)

He was a very chilled lad and everything felt like talking with a pal, not a tense interview. I could hear the woman in the other room firing her candidates with all sorts of questions.

I apologise for not posting this earlier, been preoccupied. I’ve always been on this forum quietly learning and it helped me a lot in making my interview swift and easy going. So, I had to do this to perhaps help a few other.

Waiting patiently for my AM
Good luck everyone
God bless.
