My suggestion to you will be, when you arrive Nigeria, approach Etihad airline staff within the airport and apply for 14days tourist visa, it will come out very fast.

you cannot use etihad as your sponsor if you are flying emirates...trust me, I have tried that already as etihad has an online form to apply for visa. I also don't want to wait till 4 days before the trip to apply for visa. I arrive Nigeria 4 days before dubai trip.

justi4jesu: In my own opinion, you should have confirmed a means of applying for your visa before booking your ticket or was there something else that made you go the other way round.

it said that I needed a booking to apply for the visa. If you go on emirates dubaivisa.net, that is the info given. Nigeria was among the listed countries. But when I go to manage a booking under my reservation and select apply for visa, Nigeria is not in the drop down list, even Niger is there, Ghana, Cameroon sef. Only Nigeria is missing.

Sorry about that; your hotel can actually act as your sponsor to the UAE from the US,if you had known you should have either opt for hotel sponsorship, Qatar airways, Etihad or any other airline from the US, emirates is good,but, they sometimes misbehave with their clients and they are very rigid and that is why they have lost so many clients to Etihad.

Does anyone have an experience with either Flora grand hotel or Landmark grand hotel? They are both located in Deira and supposedly 4 Stars. Trying to choose either of them. Also let me know any recommendations in Deira for same range hotels. Thanks! Stills on visa issues though. Going to send someone to their office in Nigeria as I plan to arrive Nigeria 4 days before dubai trip.

Does emirate airline have an online portal with a description of their visa application services? Something similar to what etihad has.

For clarification on my case. I intend to seek a job in the emirate, hence a one month extendable visa is what i'll look out for.

emirates does not have an online portal for applying for visa for Nigerians. I just booked a flight online and can't apply for visa. No customer service email, nothing! Ticket confirmation was sent to me by a no reply email I have been trying to call their nigerian number without success from the USA all day.... I am trying to get my hotel to sponsor me now. I can't even get a visa from over here as the airline needs to be my sponsor. So upset right now.

Run away from that agent like Usain Bolt,be that as it may, as at January 2014, this are the fee for processing your visa through Etihad airlines below:

a) The 1month visa is about $110 + service charge

b) 14days visa = $123

c) 96hours visa =$83

d) 3months visa = $410( very difficult to obtain through Etihad).

e) Go for either the 2weeks or 1month visa (Highly recommended if your purpose of coming to the UAE is for vacation/holiday)

Hello, Any idea why the 14 day visa is more expensive than the 30 day visa? Can I use any of them for a 10 day holiday trip? My dilemma now however is how to get a visa. I booked my flight online via Emirates as I live outside Nigeria. But I will be coming to Nigeria like 4 days before the trip and then going to Dubai. I was of the impression that I could apply for the visa online via Emirates/ vfs but I could not select Nigeria! Can anyone provide an email contact for Emirate visa section as I will not be in Nigeria to get this done. I should have booked Etihad as they have all the forms online and easy to go through them.

The dealer just cleared and paid his US associate for the vehicle. So the current rate is factored into pricing. He did his valuation and changed price due to the high dollar and extra cost at clearing. I advertised on nairaland prior to vehicle shipping or clearing. I did mention my reluctance in changing the price as well. Well it's his vehicle and I guess he has a right to sell at the best profitable price. No point making zero profit as this is a business and not a flyby or someone selling a car to get cash. Sorry for the inconvenience.
