If you are yoruba and you understand the lyrics of the song well, kindly correct any part you feel i was wrong.
This is just my own way of encouraging others to appreciate and understand the meaning of some songs by yoruba artists.

Nairaland GeneralEmefiele: CBN Working With FG To Recover Looted Funds by cccxxiii(op): 6:30am On Aug 07, 2015
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is examining ways it can assist the Federal Government to recover billions of dollars allegedly looted from the treasury by past government officials and stashed in foreign banks.
CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, told the Financial Times of London in an interview published yesterday that the Central Bank would play a vital role in the avowed determination by President Muhammadu Buhari to recover the looted funds.
He also said the Central Bank was not considering a devaluation of the naira at this time, as being canvassed by some stakeholders. T he CBN governor spoke against the backdrop of Buhari’s statement during his meeting with the United States President Barack Obama at the White House last month that the Federal Government would seek the help of the US in locating and returning some $150 billion stolen from the public till in the past decade. Emefiele said the regulator would take an active part in the efforts to recover the looted funds, especially as this would help in bolstering the country’s reserves.
He said: “At this time it’s (recovery of looted funds) is still being looked at and we will be happy to play a role once we find the opportunity. Naturally, as the Central Bank, we will also assist in drilling them once we get to that stage, and we will be happy to have that money back because it will improve our reserves.”
Emefiele said already, the reserves were benefitting from the steps taken by the new administration to block revenue leakages. He said: “The Treasury Single Account is a policy that was being pursued even before President Buhari came on, but this is being pursued more vigorously at this time, and what does that mean?
It means that all revenuegenerating agencies are compelled that once they receive the revenues, the revenues must come to the centre, and that means those revenues will come to the Central Bank of Nigeria. We had instances where some of those revenues were trapped outside the Central Bank.
The president came on and he insisted that all revenues come to the centre and that’s what we are saying, and it’s the reason why you are seeing some improvements in the reserves’ position.”
According to him, while the CBN will continue to work in line with its mandate, it will blow the whistle if it finds anything inappropriate in the course of its work. Emefiele, however, rejected criticisms that the Central Bank’s restrictive forex policies as well as its decision not to devalue the naira were worsening the country’s economic problems.
“What I’ve always said is that everybody is entitled to their views. And what I’m saying is that we have adjusted our currency by 22 per cent. We are looking at the supply side. We are at this point looking at the demand management. When we come out of demand management, we are optimistic that the level of demand, by the time we look at it effectively, will match supply.
And that is why we are saying at this time, the way we are, that the currency is appropriately priced. That’s where I am right now,” he said. He debunked arguments that the naira’s volatility on the parallel market was an indication of the local currency’s weakness. “I’ve always said that the parallel market is a shallow market. The parallel market constitutes just about five per cent of the market.
It should not be a basis or a benchmark for determining the real value of Nigeria’s currency. And you see what happened.
A situation where the bank vaults are full with cash and then banks on their own said, we don’t want the dollar cash, because we don’t know how to get real value for those dollars sitting in our vault . . . because they don’t want it, the market has crashed, from about N240 to as low as N210, N208. That shows you how shallow that market is,” he stated. He added that the CBN was closing the gap between the parallel market and the interbank rate.

PoliticsAPC Denies Interfering With Election Tribunals by cccxxiii(op): 5:50am On Aug 07, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the PDP of engaging in brazen lies by alleging interference by the security agencies with cases before election petition tribunals, calling the allegation a futile attempt by the PDP to pull the wool over the eyes of Nigerians.
In a statement issued in Lagos on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said not only did the PDP lie shamelessly in making the allegation, the party is also trying to muddle the waters on the true situation concerning the case before the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal – which precipitated the PDP’s frivolous accusation in the first instance.
It said that in truth, the invitation of some officials from the Rivers State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was prompted by a petition to the IG and the DG, DSS, by the APC that the officials were colluding with the PDP to deny the APC access to key documents used for the last Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.
Also contained in the petition, APC said, is the fact that some directors at the INEC head office in Abuja have been working strenuously to deny the APC access to some documents used for the said elections but domiciled at the Commission’s head office, even when the INEC Chairman has promptly attended to the issue and directed the said
officials to furnish the needed documents.
The party said that as a matter of fact, the IG had directed, upon the receipt of the APC petition, that the matter be investigated and that the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Rivers State should be invited.
Those who were named in the APC petition to the security agencies include the Rivers REC, Mrs Gesila Khan; the Administrative Secretary, Mr. Obijuru C. Royson; Head of Operations Department Bocco Ekong and Legal Officer Fumi Nancy Odihir Gaffar who, along with other INEC officials in Rivers, are colluding with the PDP to frustrate all attempts by the APC to access the vital documents.
”Therefore, the PDP’s wolf crying over a conspiracy it orchestrated with the Rivers INEC to deny the APC access to documents used for the said elections amounts to barefaced lies and a clear attempt at distorting facts.
”These persistent refusal to release the documents is happening despite a valid order from the Tribunal and in a clear violation of Section 77 (1) and (2) and other provisions of the Electoral Act.
”In addition, there is also a deliberate effort by the conspirators (Rivers INEC and the PDP) to destroy the documents so as not to allow the APC to have access to them, and then report their loss to the police. One of such cases was filed on June 29th at the Akinima Police Station in the Ahoada West Council Area,” APC said
The party said it is now clearer than ever that the PDP, knowing fully well that it has something to hide in the Rivers election, is doing everything possible to sabotage the search for the truth, while at the same time engaging in impudent finger pointing as a strategy to deceive the unsuspecting public.
”Having willfully used the security agencies as a tool to rig elections, harass the opposition and tamper with evidence in all its 16 years of shame in office, the PDP now believes the APC will do the same. That is wrong, because the APC is a party founded on the rule of law. As far as we in the APC are concerned, let the necessary lawful
procedures be followed and let the truth prevail in the cases before
the various election petition tribunals across the country,” it said.
