My name is XYZ I graduated from secondary school at 15 in year 2010. Hi guys,

I don't know what's wrong with me. Growing up, my best moment was whenever I was traveling(By road). I used to enjoy this.

But since I clocked 25, I no longer find it pleasurable traveling, I'm always scared of traveling. I fear that I may be involved in an accident that could maim or kill me. I have not been able to share this with anyone cos I don't know how to. Some years ago, my friend and I had a terrible ghastly accident that almost costed us our dear lives. We were returning back from the village in the early(6am) hours of the morning and before we would exit the village, the brakes of our vehicle(Lexus 350) failed and the speed of the car tripled. I saw death, I came in direct contact with death, but God saved me. My friend who was driving was quickly rushed to the hospital where he spent a week but I was lucky to not be much affected. I only had a cut on my lips and head. The vehicle somersaulted countless times. Farmers who were on their way to the farm that morning and heard the sound of the car somersaulting refused coming to help us. They said they didn't want to see Dead bodies at that early time of the morning, they didn't know we survived.

Sometimes again, I had another accident. I was about running mad when I eventually managed to pull out of the car, I had use my head to hit everywhere. These two accidents involving two different cars were all sold as scraps cos the damage were irreparable. And if they were to be fixed, the money would be more than imagine.

Again, my father died from a motorbike (Vespa) accident many years ago while I was just 7years. He didn't die on the spot, he even brought himself back home that night unaided. No external injuries but he had internal bleeding which wasn't detected in time, at 4am, mum took him to the hospital as pains in his chest became intense and at 7am, he gave up the ghost. The psychological impact of all these still affect me, I guess.

How do I overcome this please?
Its so bad that whenever a loved one is traveling, I will be saying in my mind that the person might die on the road and that we may never see again. God pls help me!

It's high time Ministry of Education, NUC, NMA, NMC and all relevant bodies come together to reach an agreement to increase the admission quota for medical and health related courses for all universities and nursing schools.


So many JAMB applicants/candidates applied for Medicine, FG via Ministry of Education should direct schools to admit at least 90% of students that applied for medicine and nursing.


The poor performing ones can be weeded off during university level


We have the youth population, they are ready to study these courses but JAMB and universities keep frustrating them, it's not done that way abroad. Relax some of these unnecessary rules and restrictions.



We need to produce more medical professionals than we can consume, that's the only way not by stopping those willing to migrate abroad, who also bring in FOREX to Nigeria.


Nigeria need foreign remittances, and one greatest way to get it is by having more Nigerians work abroad as professionals, and medical and IT professions seems to be our only hope of producing enough professionals that we can export abroad, so what do we do? Look for a way to start producing more medical and IT professionals so that we can have more than enough in Nigeria and still export without bleeding or crying fowl.

When I see these kids I just laughed. I wish I was younger again and there would be certain decisions I wouldn't have taken. I was paid 19,500 naira that time when I served in Bauchi state; after my one year service, I saved up to 50k naira cash and went back to the east. From the east, I head to Lagos. That was how life started. My port of call then was at Ago Palace. Sadly, the cousin that I lived with that works in a bank refused to provide me with basic three square meal. The guys literally starve me to death that I had to deep in my pocket to feed my self continuously with the 50k of my life saving. When he was defiant, I left him to the east. Stayed with my mum. In fact, it was even a harder decision because all hell was let loose. She never had patient with me either.
I was back to Lagos after going almost one year; this time around, in my Uncle's house. Another gate of hell was opened. This time, it was my uncle's wife. When I landed in that house, I never wanted to work in her school but she somehow influenced the decision and stopped the stipend my uncle was promising to be paying me till I get a job. This woman made me her b*tch in that school. I wake up by 4:30am, enter the bus and we drove till 6:30am, then the school starts at 7:00am. I will teach from SS 1 to SS 3. The school closes by 5pm, we enter the bus and arrived 8pm in the night, sometimes 9pm. Because I live in a house that look like a security house, this woman gave me a kitchen and an utensils to fed for myself. By that time, I was weak, no food. I will buy bread to eat. Then again I will wake up by 4:30am again. The cycle continues... Until... In fact I can't finish my storyline. Fast forwarded.... I traveled out of NIGERIA after "Nigeria" dealt with me. Today I am married with a kid and wonderful family.
