Former Inspector General of Police, Etim Okon Inyang will be laid to rest today. The body of late IGP Etim pictured above as it is being taken from the mortuary to his home town Ewang Mbo LGA of Akwa Ibom state today. The former IGP died on September 26, from an undisclosed ailment at Reddington Hospital, Lagos where he was receiving treatment. He was aged 85.


May his soul rest in peace.

A truck crushed a young man to death on his way home from a football training, on Sunday, November 13th, along water-works road, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.


According to Facebook user, Nwaze, the deceased's friend who rode on the same motorbike with him is battling for his life in an undisclosed hospital.

The Police and Road Safety officials deposited the corpse and the truck to the traffic unit of the state command along the Abakaliki-Enugu Expressway.


The driver of the truck initially fled the scene but was later arrested by the Police.

A lecture of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has been accused of slapping a female student to unconsciousness. Mr A A Zubairu who is the Head of Department, Computer Sciences at the state polytechnic allegedly slapped the female student Wednesday morning.


Accoding to Mohammed A. Halilu who shared this on facebook, the female student was hospitalized at the Kogi Poly clinic folowing the assault.


He wrote;

Mr A A Zubairu (HOD computer science kogi state polytechnic Lokoja). Is at again!! The picture there shows the student assaulted by HOD computer science this morning . The student fainted and was hospitalized in the the kogi poly clinic after receiving a heavy slap from A A Zubairu whose steady habit is to be slapping student at any slight chance .

The polytechnic management should please wake up for this ugly trend.
