Job Title: Operations Manager Work Location: Agricultural Farm, Tchaourou, Republic of Benin Reporting to: Chairman of the Board Job Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all production activities on the agricultural farm. The role involves optimizing resources, implementing best agricultural practices, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The Operations Manager plays a key role in the continuous improvement of production processes and the daily management of operations. **Main Responsibilities:** 1. **Daily Operations Management:** - Oversee and coordinate all agricultural production activities, including cassava cultivation, fruit trees, and livestock. - Ensure planning, implementation, and monitoring of production schedules. - Ensure efficient and optimal use of resources, including labor, equipment, and agricultural inputs. 2. **Team Supervision:** - Supervise and lead crop managers and production teams. - Ensure continuous training and skill development of staff. - Promote a safe and collaborative working environment. 3. **Quality and Compliance:** - Ensure all agricultural practices comply with current quality and safety standards. - Implement and monitor quality control processes for agricultural products and derivatives. - Ensure compliance with local and international regulations. 4. **Continuous Improvement:** - Identify opportunities to improve production processes and implement optimization initiatives. - Integrate sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. - Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in the agricultural sector. 5. **Administrative Management:** - Collaborate with the administrative and financial department to manage budgets and financial resources of the operation. - Prepare regular reports on production performance and key performance indicators (KPIs). - Participate in strategic planning meetings with the Chairman of the Board. 6. **Partner Relations:** - Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, commercial partners, and local stakeholders. - Participate in negotiations and partnership agreements. **Required Qualifications:** - Degree in agriculture, agronomy, agricultural management, or a related field. - Significant experience in managing agricultural operations, preferably in cassava cultivation, fruit trees, and/or livestock. - Team management and leadership skills. - Deep knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and quality standards. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Ability to make informed decisions and proactively solve problems. - Proficiency in written and spoken French (knowledge of English is an asset). **Personal Skills:** - Initiative and autonomy. - Team spirit and collaboration. - Precision and attention to detail. - Flexibility and adaptability. --- **Call for Applications:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our agricultural farm in Tchaourou, Republic of Benin. GOOD MORNING everybody I am a farmer based in Benin republic. I discovered this forum recently and i wanted to propose partnership with nigerian buyer. My farm is in Tchaourou not far from Nigerian border. I produce : Soybean Dry pepper Cassava Rice Tomato If there is any interested buyer , i am interested increase my production to deliver it specially dry pepper for the following deason.
