FamilyRe: Percentage Of Nigerian Children Living With Both Parents By Zone by Chachalogo(m): 10:07pm On Nov 07, 2025
GHoJes:
How is a home existing if the most vulnerables of the home being the children are out in cold and danger?

These almajeris have polygamous fathers that barely visit their mothers twice in a year as he has to go round the various other wives depending on his favourites.

Is it not more logical for you to call people who grew up with full support of one parent very present in their lives as coming from a existing home than one with both parents married on paper without responsibilities of being married or a parent. How is a home the children never get to be in even existing to such children?
Well, I do not know how you came about the conclusion in your paragraph 2 but I will respect your opinion. However, in all my years in the north, I have neither seen or heard of where an Hausa man visits his wife and children only twice a year.

Kobojunkie:
So, these homeless children in northern states have parents at home who allow them to live homeless for extended periods? shocked shocked shocked shocked

2. Do parents visit children abandoned on the streets in many of the Northern states? We don't seem to be talking here of the same thing. undecided
I will answer your questions sir.

1. Yes they have parents at home.
If you noticed, the Yoruba tribe also do send their children on this same religious study. They send their children to go learn under a teacher known as Alfa. Not all children who are learning under an Alfa are from the host community. Some of them are from other towns, cities or states just like the Almajeris. The only difference is that the Alfas unlike the Mallams do not subscribe to street begging. Street begging has nothing to do with the religion in question. Street begging is a thing of choice.

2. Those children are not abandoned on the street. They're all camped in the homes of their respective Mallams. When I was in Kano, the Mallams do take roll call and this explains why an almajeri will avoid anything that will make him miss either the morning or evening recitation. Missing any or both will attract severe punishment. They go out to beg for food after the morning recitation and must return before the afternoon recitation. It is after the afternoon recitation that they're permitted to go out again to beg for food. They must return home before bed time. And lastly, yes their parents or family do visit them at the homes of their Mallams.

Kobojunkie:
So, the boarding schools pi_mp these children out every day while the parents of these kids get to be relieved of the responsibility of caring for them during that period? How is this any better than the children literally being orphaned? huh
Sir, the argument here is whether they're from existing homes or not. And by existing home I mean father and mother staying married together.
I'm not in support of parents who not fending for their children's needs whom they sent on Almajeranchi.

Iamzik:
O

And where did they hide the almajiris? North should have the highest percentage here
Sir, that they are Almajeris doesn't erase the fact they are from existing homes. They very much have their parents, except in some cases where a parent or both parents have passed on. They only went on a study and will return home when they're done. They do visit home and their parents do visit them at set times.

DIVINEEVIDENCE:
Kudos fire.

All the almajiris roaming the streets and suffering untold degradation in the hands of alfas and mallams are all from intact homes.

Wonderment!
Yes sir they are from homes.
I'm a Christian but I know a few things about the Almajeri system.
FamilyRe: Percentage Of Nigerian Children Living With Both Parents By Zone by Chachalogo(m):
Kobojunkie:
Where do the 10s of millions of Almajiris come from then? Are you telling us that all those kids live with their parents? undecided
Sir, yes. Almajeris live with their parents/family.
Almajeranchi is synonymous with the boarding school system where parents send their children to go learn far away from home, and then return during holidays. Almajeris do go home at set times to visit their families. I know this because I grew up in Kano and I had many of them as playmates.
PoliticsRe: Russia 'closely Monitoring' Trump's Threat To Attack Nigeria by Chachalogo(m): 9:00pm On Nov 07, 2025
An average Nigerian sees every other person but his oppressors as threat. He would rather fight his liberator than challenge his oppressors.

dammyz101:
So where do almagiris come from?
Almajeris are from homes. They're not products of broken marriages or single motherhood. Almajeranchi is a religious system particular to Islam. I had a friend & neighbour many years ago in Kano, who was sent on Almajeranchi by his father because he was very stubborn. He ran back home in no distant time grin grin

My candid appeal to Keyamo on his response to Trump is that since he claims he is a govt officials ,as a christian and that the genocide is not lobsided , Please let Him strike a deal with Nigeria now"that from henceforth his household and that of Tinubu as well as other acclaimed officials should as a matter of urgency Enquiry be Relocated to Benue, Plateau,Zamfara,Gone ,Borno,Southern Kaduna etc and Reside there without Security Protection till after 2027 election, meanwhile before they Relocate they should give Nigeria the Statistics of the number of family members they've volunteer to use for this Challenge"but this CHALLENGE shouldn't deter Trump and US from taking action earlier uphold.[/quote]I found this hilarious grin grin grin grin grin grin

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be dancing joyfully in his cell in Kuje prison on hearing this news.

Only terrorists, terrorist sympathisers, Islamic extremists who are equivalent to terrorists, devil incarnates, are in support of the wanton killing going on in Nigeria.

The greatest resource any nation can be boastful of is 'human resource' and not mineral/natural resources par say. So, anyone coming here to tell us that the US should not be allowed into Nigeria because they're coming for our natural resources not minding the alarming rate at which people (human resource) are been murdered each passing of the day falls in the category of people mentioned in paragraph 2 above.

Tinubu must be kicked out come 2027 because he has no solution to Nigeria's problems.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Seeks Fresh ₦1.15trn Domestic Loan To Fund 2025 Budget Deficit by Chachalogo(m): 6:23pm On Nov 04, 2025
loffyloffy:
If you are smart and observant, you would have been able to recall that the budget includes a deficit element that is not covered by revenue.

But as school sat failed wey you be, it will be too much to remind you of this fact.

Meeting his revenue budget means he have enough money to pay back short term loans that was within the prohected revenue.

In the same budget, there is deficit, which means he will have to borrow to cover that.

If at tge end of the day his revenue superceded expectation, he can use it to boast his external reserve by savibg it, which the govt is doing right now, or he could use it to repay loans, which they are not doing.

But assuming that they wont have to borrow because they have meet their revenue target is babyish economics.
> With all due respect sir, your 4th paragraph contradicts your 3rd paragraph, but I stand to be corrected with facts.

> What exactly do you think is responsible for the deficit nature of our national budget?

> We keep borrowing without producing. Can you educate us what exactly Tinubu is using these borrowed monies for?

> Please kindly explain to us what Tinubu meant by 'I have met my revenue target'.

We are waiting!

Thank you sir!

The governor who truly worked to see an end to the incessant killings in southern Kaduna was Ahmed Makarfi. He took bold steps as an attempt to end Christian - Muslim unrest in the state. He was even nicknamed 'Matthew' because of his alliance with the southern Kaduna Christians.

Honestly, things have really fallen apart in this country.

The islamic extremists have a doctrine called Taqiyya, which when translated means Deceit or Deception in a simple word. That been said, the countering of the cacophony of voices speaking against christian genocide in Nigeria is Taqiyya. They want to deceive the world with lies and more lies. But like I use to tell them, their Taqiyya can never work on me because I know better. I have seen and witnessed religious crisis first hand growing up as a young boy in Kano State. My second cousin was murdered by Boko Haram years ago in Kano while attending a church service on a Sunday morning 😭

Am I been a religious bigot right now? Of course not. I have Muslims in my family too. But mind you, they ain't extremists.

Dear concerned Nairalanders, let no one deceive you. There is a religious genocide in Nigeria, and it is against Christianity.
PoliticsRe: Why Has El Rufai Suddenly Gone Silent? by Chachalogo(m): 4:55pm On Nov 04, 2025
El Rufai is a man who speaks when necessary. This explains why the APC finds it difficult most a times to debunk his assertions with facts.

El Rufai is a very smart and calculative individual. The MU-MU ticket that got the north to align with BAT in 2023 was El Rufai's strategy used in Kaduna State. I'm certain he's somewhere cooking 🔥the next strategy.
