A young man was crushed to death by a truck belonging to Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Nsukka, Enugu State on Monday, November 21. An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said that the deceased was riding on a motorcycle when he was crushed. Irate youths who were enraged by the tragic incident immediately set the truck fully loaded with Coca-Cola products ablaze. A student of the department of leisure and tourism of the Adamawa state polytechnic, Yola has been accused of slitting his girlfriend's throat out of jealousy. The girlfriend, Ishaya, a diploma 2 student of same department, is presently at the specialist hospital Yola. According to Facebook user, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu who shared the story, the boyfriend simply identified as "presido" is an extra year student of the polytechnic. A shocking video has emerged online about a driver who with the help of some of his friends, kidnapped, raped and buried his boss alive. On Sunday, October 2, at about 1.30pm, troops of 33 Brigade Nigerian Army deployed at Forward Operation Base (FOB) Ningi, on routine patrol, came across suspected kidnappers at Dutsen Makurdi, Ningi Local Government Area. The suspected kidnappers opened fire on the troops that led to exchange of gunfire between both at the end of which 5 kidnappers were killed. There was a bloodbath on Thursday in the Ipakodo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State, after some gunmen invaded a residence and shot dead a man and his two sons. PUNCH Metro learnt that the attackers, who were suspected to be sent, after killing the man, Celestine Nwokoye, and his sons, also shot his wife and his two daughters, leaving them for dead. It was gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday on Agbose Street in the Ebute, Ipakodo area around 5am. Policemen from the Ipakodo division have since removed the victims’ corpses. A former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Tom Ikimi, has rejected the outcome of the Edo State governorship election, claiming the result was manipulated in favour of the All Progressives Congress. The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, who hails from Igueben Local Government Area in Edo Central Senatorial District of the state, insisted the APC didn’t deserve victory in the poll.
