Ezesolomon411:I went with enrollment certificate for the ongoing semester which will end March 31st. It was rejected. I was asked to get for the upcoming semester |
dipsy2009:If you have NPC birth certificate and you were before DEC 1992, Just go to the high court and get an affidavit for Declaration of age done by your parents or a brother older with 15+ years. At Lagos, they have an option for virtual affidavit incase the deponent couldn't come physically. |

Totally thankful to God that a journey of 28 months have ended in praise with my visa in my hands! 🙏 1. Appointment booked: Nov 6, 2022 2. Admission to TUM: Jul 13, 2023 3. Thought about deferring but then TUM introduced tuition fees after my set, deferring meant I'd join the next set to pay tuition. So, I maintained by admission by paying semester fees for 4 semesters (I almost gave up at semester 3 but God encouraged me) 4. AD came: Dec 19, 2024 (I already forgot I was waiting for AD 😂) 5. First interview: Jan, 21 2025 Was unprepared, asked to bring enrollment certificate for next semester (VO said it was an exception, I would have been sent home to start afresh) 6. Second interview: Feb 25, 2025 Completed interview, asked to submit extra documents 7. VISUM APPROVED: March 11, 2025! It was a long 28 months of patience and trusting God's will and in the end it was worth it! Yours is the next! |
AgentONE:Were you asked by the embassy to publish in a newspaper or you just decided to? |
Saraph25:I didn't have to defend it. I was rescheduled for another interview as my semester enrollment certificate will expire in March. I was asked to provide an enrollment certificate for the summer semester which I did in the next interview. |
Pesky54:You will need to do an authentic affidavit for change of name for your birth certificate. Also if you were born before December 1992 and have an NPC birth certificate (the green coloured one), they would likely reject it and ask you to do a declaration of age, backed by your parent or a family member older with 15 years. |
Saraph25:In my case, my current program is in the 3rd semester and there is no online option. I maintained my enrolment by paying semester fees for all 3 semesters and doing all the other necessary things to maintain my admission cos my school introduced tuition fees immediately after my set were admitted. I think you should speak with your program adviser on the best option for you but note that when you are going to interview at the embassy you must go with a current enrolment certificate that shows your admission is valid for at least the next 4-5 months. I had to provide an enrolment certificate for the summer semester which starts in April in order to be interviewed. They rejected my ongoing enrolment certificate which would expire March 31st. |

It is best to pay with card. They have POS with them. The VO who interviewed me yesterday was complaining that counting cash with the machine was stressful. I paid with my debit card. |

German Chancellor to visit Nigeria in October. https://www.channelstv.com/2023/09/10/german-chancellor-scholz-to-visit-nigeria-october-presidency/ India was having similar issues with student visa appointments and when the Chancellor visited, the intending students lobbied and got him to reduce the waiting periods significantly. Who has an idea how we can do something similar? |
