You're in safe hands. If the ausländerbehörde has validated your sponsors documents before the appointment date, he/she will get the letter on that day. Get the sponsor to send it via DHL that very day. It takes around 3 days to get your docs to arrive in Nigeria. To be on a safe side, write to the embassy and request that your interview be moved to the 25th(There's a spot on this day). Attach proof of appointment to the email.

This will put you in a comfortable situation. If all goes well, you should get your docs before then.

I think since the embassy is accepting only the original document, you’d have to ask your sponsor to send the document within the few days before your appointment
He should get the sponsorship letter on the day of appointment if his documents are complete. Your main focus is finding a delivery service that will be timely…also plan to spend more for fast shipping

I recently got admitted into a German uni (MSc. Program), public school.
Lectures starts 24th march for the summer class and enrollment ends April 15th, 2025.
I booked for Visa appointment Sept, 2023, and I learnt they’re still Feb 11th 2023 (the last appointment date given).

Should I enroll with them or re-apply for the winter semester to get a winter admission letter.??


If I enroll, and my appointment date comes August or sept this year, can I go for the appointment with my summer enrollment letter…is it accepted?

You can use it only if it's still valid. If you've previously enrolled, please use it. The most important thing is that it must be an admission that will give you valid student status in Germany. That's why the embassy asks for enrollment letter later on before AM.

Hannania:
SL covers your means of livelihood. By law, it's not attached to your school payment. Your sponsor is agreeing to pay your accommodation, feeding, health insurance etc. So it's two different things.

Hannania:
They most times ask for enrollment when they've made a decision to issue you the visa.

If it's a private university, prepare to show proof of 1year tuition payment. I know people who got away by showing bank statements, and some, the embassy was adamant with the needed Block account with the remaining tuition.z

Here's what I'll advise. Go with a private university's admission letter, and start processing a public one in the same course. If you're lucky and tuition is not requested, thank your God. If the public admission is ready by then, email them to say you have an alternative. Prepare for the worst though.

Make your motivation letter and CV flexible so that you can easily state your case incase of a change

The problem you'll face are these:

1. They'll likely ask for enrolment letter
2. Since it's private, proof of 1 year of tuition payment.

If you have private, go with it, then get public and pray it's changeable. I've not heard of such before.
