What about student visa that takes about 2 and a half years. They know about it. For me is a deliberate way to cut down numbers of applicants from some particular countries. But again waiting that long with dwindling exchange rate is very risky.

Goethe is the standard, you can register for all German language exams as an external candidate at Goethe Institut Lagos, Google Goethe Institut Nigeria for a detailed information.

I got admission in HafenCity University, Hamburg and i had applied for Visa appointment since September last year but still on the waiting list till date. Unfortunately, the only option is to wait for 23 months. Even those who applied in 2022 haven't been attended to yet. Stay strong, bro.

Most Schools accept 2.3 - 2.5 though, have seen 2.8 but very rare

Use DAAD.de to search for schools. Winter admission is over already.

It's not just about your 2.2. you need to first understand the German grading system. 1.0 is the max(similar to our 5.0). Most schools have an average minimum grade of 2.5 to 2.7 for admissions. That's between 2.7 to 3.0 (Nigerian scale). If your school uses 1.5 as the minimum passing CGPA, then it's 3.0 to 3.2(Nigerian scale)
