Nairaland / General / Anatomy Of Fulani Mentality by changemedia: 4:20am On Mar 08, 2018
I believe the generality of our problems in Nigeria in particular is our conscious loss of the grip of history. Therefore, tracing the path of history to how Sir Frederick Lord Lugard described a Fulaniman in a letter he personally wrote to Walter H. Lang on September 25, 1918, one would know where to place the human specie called "Fulanis" or their offsprings in form of herdsmen, and their activities and, of course, their mentality too. See the letter:

"The Hausa/Fulani has no ideals, no ambitions save such as sensual in character. He is a fatalist, spends thrift and a gambler. He is gravely immoral and is seriously diseased that he is a menace to any community to which he seeks to attach himself".
Crime / Ikot Ekpene Turns Sambisa Forest. by changemedia: 10:09am On Mar 07, 2018
For the past three weeks, the historic town in the south of the Niger Delta, Ikot Ekpene, popularly called "The Raffia City", has been under siege by the lethal activities of groups believed to be members of secret cults without the slightest hindrance by government security agents. At the start of the bloody drama, it was perceived to have been restricted to two or more rival camps of the sects, a situation that left dozens of dead bodies to litter the streets on daily basis but since last weekend the situation has assumed a different dimension; scores of traders in the colonial city have lost huge amount of money and unspecified quantity of items to the boys of the underworld and also raping at indiscriminate proportion.
Although, local authorities have announced a six-to-six curfew in the town, at least to curb the spate of the disturbing situation, the boys still remain unrepentant vowing to continue until 'they are settled' as usual.

Details shortly.
