afam4eva: Someone should create a speacial thread to showcase Uyo, Akwa-Ibom state like our Enugu brother did.
Yes you are right,it really bad because everybody base performance on lagos, when you bring a thread from lagos state then people start commenting on the thread,Akwa State has a well plan projects for the futures and for the poplulation that the city will get due to the Massive development going on now and new ring roads are opening up so people don't over load present infrastruction.

Abegi, If we see better thing make we talk tru. I know that a couple of state governors are also doing well, but this man stands out. although he praises his achievements and markets the state a lot. He actually does deliver very nice infrastructure.

If he can achieve all that he has announced before he leaves office in 2015 such as

Main terminal building for airport
completion of tropicana
completion of all ongoing and proposed road projects as well as Urban renewal and upgrade for other urban areas around the state,
etc. to mention just a few

then the state will no doubt be in the top 3 best states in Nigeria by which ever way u want to look at it. Also, We pray that hes successor continues the trend of quality infrastructure development.

Nice one Akpabio

Travel / South South Is Gaining Momentum In Development! by Charles1234: 9:45pm On Jun 11, 2012
Recently i had been seeing alot of thread about development in the south, specially Akwa Ibom state but i never believed in it until recently i was in Akwa Ibom and i amazed by the Infrastructure that is being put in place by Akpabio...I wish other state in the north will be making an impact with the money they have than looking for argument in the pages of newspapers and am very sure if the people of every state can see something being done By their governor then Nigeria can be one United as one again.i was able secure a some pics that i posted in one of the forum just days ago but just want to share then again..I strongly believe if Akpabio continue come 2015,AKwa Ibom state will be the tourist destination of Nigeria!!! You can check on the pics i posted in one of the Nairaland forum from this link below https://www.nairaland.com/917634/cities-best-roads-nigeria/4

BabaTony:

I think the number of cars in uyo is just perfect for me, I hate what I'm going thru here in lagos due to overcrowding. The whole state is planned in such a way that ppl don't need to live in uyo to enjoy basic public amenities.

Hey man you are right,I posted some pics of uyo ..

Now can someone say to me why shouldn't Akpabio be awarded..this are all first class constructions and secondly ,the infrastructures deveolopment is just too massive for the state with few car runing on the roads and apart from that the rural area are all connected the urban development.
