obailala: Sometimes I marvel at the way sycophancy takes away the reasoning of some individuals. How can a right thinking person compare the economy of Lagos to anywhere else?.. Very soon they will say it's Fashola or ACN that makes people migrate to Lagos..#SMHNobody is comparing Lagos with any state and by the way since the economy is larger than any state economy and they receive more tax revenue also and they have much more investor or Major company then that should be a reason why the state governor shouldn't always toll every massive road that is build with tax payer money. |

Ricky_Ross: These are world class roads in rural communities in Akwa Ibom and its free for all. In Lagos these roads/bridges must be tolled.Totally Agree with you  When Lagos state build an infrastructure that is quality of this standard with tax payer money the govermor still want to toll it even with the massive tax renue the state receive every months. 1 Like |

RedReact: That area isn't sparsely structured as you may it. If they embarked on demolition, it's going to cost more for the government; except it's been handled by the FG. The problem is lack of blueprint for our cities, as structures were just erected without future considerations in view, hence the making it a little bit tedious for future expansion as what you have there in the pictures you posted. The Molete flyover is just like the ones you posted up here and that's because that place is very spacious and sparcely populated as at the time of its construction. Except a civil engineer proves other way round, I want to believe that this Mokola flyover is what could have been done without causing demolition.I agree with you but you need to understand that this Area of the bridge you just saw about Uyo was a busy market there wasn't any road network or any infrastruture,I think Ibadan is a very big city or maga city so for the beauty to come out i still believe that houses need to go to make way for infrastruction.Government has to compensate affected victim who land or houses will be affected.let me use this for example,the lagos state blue line rail that that is being build in along badagry express way in Lagos state today and i believe once completed alot of people will not believe that that route was a conjested place in the past but once completed it will reducted the traffic and so on and landscape will be relaxing to your viewing . |

django1: You don't seem to get it, do you?hey man i understand you perfectly but i will like to say i don't agree with your point.My reasons are this fly overs in uyo where all resident area that had to be brought down so as to build a quality structure and they were all build in this present Governor Akpabio.. I think if Ibadan most have quality structures then alot of those house around this area has to go and secondly there will always be need for expansion,if you look under the Ibadan flyover in pics is like a market square,it does not matter if the flyover was there 50 years ago,there something in engineering will call remodeling..if you know Uyo 5 years ago,You will describe it as a village.this fly over in Ibadan in the tread is not a standard structural engineering job. 1 Like |
