dejia: Hello Fellow farmers,
Thanks for those who have mailed and orders.
I have received several questions, and i feel its best i answer them thru this platform, so that many others can learn from it
* Can your pigs achieve 80kg in 6months after weaning?
My answer it is YES , but with other conditions , i always like to compare pigs with Chicken
A broiler can achieve 2kg weight in 10weeks, if feed well and taken care of.
if you buy broilers and you dont offer it balanced diet, it wont achieve 2kg within 10weeks, meaning
breed isnt all that is required; you need the following to get the best FCR
* Good Breed ( Genetics)
* Good Feed
* Good Management
The 3 works hard in hard, if you cant practice the 3 correctly, pls dont bother to buy my weaners. I will recommend
you buy cheap weaners; ( if you cant do the same, dont buy broilers, go and buy local chicken).
** When can i get A.I training etc?
I did mine in kanhym estate in SA; they have about 6,000 sow; i dont know anybody offering it in Nigeria I only know of about 2 farms with A.I facilities, but at the moment, they dont offer training, neither do they sell semens to other farmers
I also think the training might be useful, if you dont have access to semens.
We are looking at setting up a small A.I Station before the end of the year and will offer training.
** Can you i get in-sow from A.I?
We have had several request for this, in the past we have decline, because of the challenges with moving in-sow on bad roads but we want to give it a trial;
We have selected some sow, that will be inseminated 22nd of March; by the 20th of April, with our pregnancy detector, we will be certain.
we will be able to deliver from the 30th of April for those who have paid; in-sow are always tricky and risky;
its 50/50; i dont recommend it for 1st timers.
it will cost 70k each.
@ Julibaba:
* * I dont have pictures of my sow right now; i only got one see attached.am in SA, will be back on the farm by weekend to inseminate
* We dont have boars, we only use artificial insemination; i have posted some pictures in the past your price is fraudulent .why no farmer so far testify your pig is super and you say no visitor can come to your farm. you are a sweet mouth marketer not real farmer. pig is not expensive like you project and misled. I advice beginner to go out and findout facts not from internet scam behaving as farmer |

dejia: Hi Fellow farmers,
It is another season, our sow has farrowed, and am selling off the weaners
We have about 180 weaners off for grabs 80 females and 100 Males, all a mix of
Large white ( Obasanjos breed) + PIC, SA ( www.pic.com) ( PIC 433 and PIC 310 semens). all born from thru Artificial Insemination
My weaners vary in weight from 8kg-15kg of weight, they are between 35days old to 45days old.
Am selling them for N8,000 each , at the ratio of ( 2 females to 1 Male). ( Minimum of 10 females and 5Males)
I will recommend it majorly for those looking for breeders stock
Our farm is based in ilorin, Kwara State; but we have a van that does delivery at a " reasonable fee".
if you buy a minimum of 30 ( 20 females + 10 Males) we will consult for you, give you
feed formula ,pig premix from SA, visit your farm and make recommendations; and on a monthly basis get an e-mail from us to check on the stock you have bought from us, and how they are doing and advice .
Our first batch will go out on 21st of March; and the last batch will be 5th of April.
We also have some sow we intend to sell off ( majorly for consumption) @ N350 per kg, they are from 150kg-250kg.
We dont allow visitors/ especially pig farmers to our farm because of bio-security.
Kindly contact me via e-mai: deji@fulfillsa.co.za Why is your weaner 8000. are you selling pig or cow. how much will i sell 8000 weaner to make a gain. This idea is a bogus marketing trick which cannot profit a farmer. As a nairalander you suppose to help new farmers to achieve easily not reap them off. In the picture you post i can see some runt piglets and not pure like those online. |
