Please someone should tell me a good websit that teaches everything i need to know about visual basic, i want to download it and brows it offline since my internet connection does not come regularly

Abeg Nairaland, so u mean there is no body using photopaint here, Most of you have it, but you do not know where it is, to your notice, if you have coreldraw install in your system that mean you already have it (photopaint)

i was not able to get it, but this is another stuff i did, when i was still learning, i made it using photopaint found in coreldraw package

are you talking of interchanging a body of humanbeing with animal, something like that, i have done it, but i did it with my friend picture, i used the body of micheal jackson, i then remove the head and replace it with my friend owns

your own is even better than mine, which version of photoshop are you using, i am using version 7, tell me what you did to make yours look real

you people in nairaland are not encouraging, you just view and never make comment, na wa for owner self oo, even if you do not know how to use photoshop, just say something about this tutorial

Step 1a
Open an image in Photoshop that you wish to apply the effect. I used the photo Image of snazzdawn, vote for her as the hottest female in Nairaland

Step 1b
Add a new layer
Layer > New > Layer (ctr+shift+N) then click on ok

Step 1c
Make a circular selection with the Elliptical Marquee Tool (M)[img]Http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/8109/eclipicalmarquee8li.gif[/img] the circle doesn't have to be a perfect circle, as long as it looks like one. small circle give more of the effect

Now press the letter D on your keyboard to make the foreground color black and the background color white. ie

If everything is ok, then we should see a preview of the gradient in the options bar

Make sure that it goes from black (left) to white (right). If that's not the case then make sure that the option

reverse is not selected (C). If you don't see a black & white gradient, then double click on the gradient in the options bar (A) and select the gradient from the list and click OK.

We are now going to draw a gradient from left to right. We start at the red dot and pull the gradient all the way to the green dot.

After you're done, deselect the selection by pressing Ctrl + D on your keyboard or by selecting in the menu Select > Deselect.

Add transparency 
Set the blending mode of the layer in the layers palette to Overlay.

Adding a highlight
Go to layer > merge down (ctrl + E)

Press de letter X on your keyboard to switch the fore- and background; the foreground color is now white. Now select a hard brush (key B)  with a size of 6 pixels (the size depends on size of the water drop) and click once in the upper left corner of our water drop.

i just do not know where to start, i play so many game to the extent that i no longer enjoy game that have no spill of blood when i hit my opponent, i have played Mortal Kombart4, Street Fighter, Xmen, Dragon ball, Sonic and my favourite Contra produce my Sega. All i have mention are PC game

Step 1:
Make a new document with a white background.

Step 1:
Make a new document with a white background.
Go to file menu, select New (ctr+N). A dialog box appear

Click the type tool (or Ctrl+t) and write your desired text in black.
i make used of Aria Black, font size 76

Step 2:
Select Layer > Rasterize > Layer

Step 3:
Merge the text image with the background image by hitting "Ctrl+E" Then go to Filter>Pixelate>Crystallize. Set the Cell Size as "4".

Step 4:
Go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur. Enter 2.0 Then Go to Filter>Stylize>Find Edges.

Step 5a:
Go to Image>Adjustments>Invert (Ctrl+I).

Step 5b:
Then go to Image>Rotate Canvas>90° CW.  Then Filter>Stylize>Wind. (Make the method is "wind" and the direction is "from the right" ctrl + F to apply it twice


Step 6:
Go to Image>Rotate Canvas>90°CCW. (this should turn it back round so you'll know if its upside down!)


Step 7:
Then go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+U). Check the "Colorize" option, and input these numbers.

Hue = 215
Saturation = 71
Lightness = 0

it had been a month now, and i have not seen any photoshop freak to post the procedure in photoshop to get this effect, what is happening

I am really in need of a good photoshope Tutorial website.
Please, do not request me to go and use google, for i had search  it on google before comming here, to make this post.
The search resultS i got from google, look to be repeating theirself, that is why i making it known to everyone in nairaland, if you know of any good photoshop website that you are addicted to, or a photoshop website that really teaches someone like ABC, to Intermidate, then to perfection.

In addition, It should be a photoshop tutorial that teaches a new beginner on how to use the various Adobe Photoshop tools e.g move tool, lasso tool, crop tool, e.t.c and then, proceed on how to use the several commands (import, transform, trim e.t.c) found in the various menu (file, Edit, Image, Layer, Select, Filter e.t.c)

What i am about to say, I know some people living outside Nigeria and those who see science as a solution in everything will hardly believe it, but it do happened, could you believe that my cousin was pressed this last week end, if you say she is not taking good care of her health, then i bit you are wrong, she is having pain all over her body after that incident, mine is not an exception, as i was once a victim of it, when i was at the age of 12, but thank God will have to moved from that particular area,

Not until yesterday i went to visit my elder brother who live far from us, to spend the last holiday (Monday) to my suprise i was pressed, i hardly bend down, and i am feeling pain over my body,even as at the time i am typing this topic

My fellow Nairaland members please pray for me, and i would also like ask too, have you been pressed at any time in your life, how did you by-pass it.

Please help me, as i seek your advice on what to do next, to me, i am not going back to sleep with my elder brother, it will either be visit and nothing more than that.

Who found the religious school?

The University matriculation examination which was dated for 22nd of April 2006 has being post dated for 5th of May.To some students this change of date is uncalled for while to some others it is beneficial to them as they are still left with a little more time to get ready for one of their most dreaded exams.

i got to know about this neco newstuff yesterday, i have always say NECO website is something to be afriad of, could you imagine the pain i pass through to registered candidate for the exam, now they have open new website necoexternal.com for nov/dec result, not only that those old scratch card in the hands of many are waste because from now on that is the website they are going to be using both for internal (june/july) and external (nov/dec) exmaination result checker,

Neco has incured lose on my head, i had already bought the old scartcch card worth N6000 now they are changing it, Only God know if the dealer is going to accept it back, of which i know it is a fairy tales, please neco should do something about those old scartch card let them tell us the way to reconfigure it so that it can be used on the new webite,

please any one that has the new scartch should please do us a favour by  posting the picture of the card,back & front i will be gratefull, let me see if i can reconfigure my old one here to work on the new web site

i am also asking for someone to tell me which bank i can get the new scratch card

Well if you are a Christian, then that muslim girl is committing sin, since muslim do not allow their girls to marry outside islam, except the guy in question is ready to convert to islamic religion.

Has anyone heard of Christian unrests in any part of the world resulting from Dan Brown's best seller, The Da Vinci Code? The silence does not make us any less Christians and naturally, we leave all such matters for God to judge. If thesame topic were directed towards Prophet Muhammad however, Dan Brown would by now be on death row and who knows how many Buildings would have been torched and innocent people killed so far.

before that incident happened, a post in nairaland was pinpointing that islam is a not a religion of tolerance, and my muslim brother here by id Nijaman,came out that islam preaches peace and tolerence, well i accepted his view halfminded, but i was looking for a good evidence to tell him that it was not true, not until that inccidence happend, the man that get converted from islam to christainity, i then made an update to the forum, uptill now, i never seen any muslim post in that topic to tell me that,what i posted is wrong.

well i will re-visit the topic again for update and more proof
