PRINCE Aderopo Ogunwusi, father of Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, recently celebrated his 35th wedding anniversary.

The prince’s wedding anniversary is coming days after his wife turned 60. Though the family opted for a close-knit family celebration as a result of the spread of COVID-19, daughters and sons of the prince used the opportunity to celebrate their parents’ union.

The retired broadcaster once said out of his seven children with his wife, the Ooni is the only one that came to the world at that particular time.

Eyitayo Jegede, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has won the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship election ticket.

He beat seven others, including Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi, who defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to fight for the party’s ticket.

Jegede, who was the PDP candidate in the 2016 election, lost to incumbent Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Akeredolu clinched the APC ticket to contest the October 10 election in the Sunshine State.
