Omo urs serious oo, me just booked vehicle yesterday him dey vex me, but urs that is even flight ehhh....it is well. If only HCP had responded earlier than now, but still it's better than travelling to uyo, that journey long and person go spend much |
I just received an email now that my skill test is now scheduled in Lagos, Seplat house for the role of maintenance technician, you all should pls check your email |
Pls if there’s actually a Telegram group for this recruitment, please share the link. I’d like to join so I can stay updated, because I’m not really frequent on Nairaland. Thanks. |
You’re completely missing the point. My response had nothing to do with “defending a scammer” or having any relationship with anybody. I simply corrected a wrong assumption. You don’t call someone a scammer just because you see their name on multiple threads — that logic is weak anywhere in the world. If the person has proof, fine — let them present it. I never said he’s innocent or guilty. All I said is that posting on different threads is not proof of anything by itself. And it’s the same reason nobody accused you or me of being a scammer — because that’s not how you judge these things. And just so you’re properly informed: If you go through this thread well, you’ll see where I asked him how I could contact him because he said he’s in Lagos and I’m also in Lagos. I wanted to know if he had managed to reach HCP or confirm if there was a Lagos centre, since the official HCP line wasn’t going through and they weren’t responding to emails. Eventually, I got through to an HCP contact who clearly stated that the Operation & Maintenance skill test is holding only in Uyo. That was the basis of my conversations with him — nothing more, that's to show you I don't have a personal relationship from him or know him from Adam. So please don’t twist it into something else or suggest any “relationship.” I simply addressed the part of the discussion that didn’t make sense. Simple. |
That still doesn’t justify calling him a scammer. So because I’ve been active on different Nairaland recruitment threads since 2012/2013 automatically makes me a scammer? Come on, you need to reason this thing well. Do you know how long it takes some people to search for their dream jobs before they finally get one? And mind you, this Seplat recruitment is for people with 7–10 years’ experience, even though some candidates with less experience were still invited. So what exactly are you implying? That someone like Joefab shouldn’t be on this thread just because you feel he should have gotten a “better” job by now? The way some people reason on this platform sometimes is just somehow. For clarity: – The operation & maintenance skill test is only holding in Uyo. There is NO Lagos centre. – There’s nothing like “batches” for the skill test invitation. If you didn’t receive an invite, it’s not the end of the world. Just move on, keep applying, and stay hopeful. Better opportunities will come. Remember: na who give up, Bleep up. Peace and love. |
How can I contact you Joefab we have similar situation |
I got an invite for the skill test, maintenance technician position at UYO on 22nd. Interview would be on 24th if you pass the skill test scheduled for 22nd. |
I don't know and I never said that. |
Also, for the person who mentioned knowing someone that did an interview for Chevron Agbami and was asked PPE and P&ID-related questions, just to clarify, that role was not a direct Chevron position. It was a contract staff role with another company that Chevron subcontracted for that particular project. |
For those asking about petroleum engineer, yes offer has been sent to them. Extremely few numbers were selected. |
The information came from a reliable source during a toolbox meeting I attended in Escravos. Initially, many in-house operators (under contract) were not invited to the first test, which led to protests. As a result, the first test was canceled, and a new invitation was issued, extending to a larger number of people than the first. |
The first test was cancelled |
