Yummycity Records, a record label founded by Kolawole Stephen Sinaayomi, known professionally as Stephen Yummy, was established on June 8, 2023. The official announcement was made by Stephen Yummy on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, via a social media post on X, featuring the record label's logo.

Stephen Yummy had envisioned the creation of Yummycity Records since 2023, documenting the label's name and intended launch date in his notepad. His earlier social media post on X, dated August 25, 2024, stating, “Manifesting my future record label,” foreshadowed the 2025 launch.

Yummycity Records reflects Stephen Yummy's dedication to supporting emerging artists. Initially, the label will focus on offering distribution deals and promoting both the label and Stephen Yummy as an artist.

Born on January 22, 2005, in Lagos, Nigeria, Stephen Yummy has swiftly risen through the ranks since his discovery at age 14. Raised in Lagos, he has built a reputation for his lyrical prowess and engaging performances, Yummy was 14 years old when he discovered he had a talent for music, Yummy joined a church choir for years and left, and has since started pursuing his career as a hiphop rapper, he did a lot of freestyle were he uploaded them via SoundCloud, AudioMack and YouTube which was later taken down. in 2021 Stephen met a producer “Yemty” and worked together to make a single song “Goat-freestyle” and which became Stephen first single song on all platform, in 2022 Stephen was introduced to BandLab by a friend And found it more interesting and released he’s second Single song titled “Yummy”. Later on he released couple of singles like Gang, Freedom, Pure Honey.

In 2023 Stephen drop the lead single “Loi” which appeared on the 4th track of his first album “The Legendary Shine” on 31st March 2023. In June 2023 Yummy dropped a single song titled “Blueprint” that gained thousand of streams which he later re-released it on his first Mixtape “BlueTape Vol 1” on the 1st November 2023.

Early 2024 Yummy released his first EP “SET IT OFF” 19th January 3 days before his birthday 22 January as a surprise gift to his fans “YummyGang”. The following month he released couple of singles like
Catch It,Next,Still There,Burst it down.
He took a break from music and came back with his second EP “CMWY” and released 2 music videos for the track Can’t spell and Why out on YouTube.
