Honestly, you do not have to denigrate yourself like this. What job satisfaction would you have if after suffering in training for over 6months you hang rank and you can't even enjoy 50% of your salary for almost a year. You must think life as a Navy Officer is a bed of roses...Lol. There are junior finance related jobs especially that pay good and after you've garnered experience for 2yrs or more,it becomes more juicy. Some private coy jobs pay more than FG jobs brov.Live your life and apply again for DSSC if you feel like and get it on your own effort. Don't let your self esteem take a bad hit. Life is unfair and you have to live with it. Stay safe. Goodluck.

Oh, I get it. If customs average salary is truly almost equivalent to that of the biggest corporate bank in Nigeria, the money surely is truly mind blowing. Sublieutenants live pretty comfortable lives too. If after joining the Navy, you are not impressed, you can always opt out after 10yrs or so I'd take CBN over Navy sha.But as they always say, passion varies.

Never applied for NAF in forever but search online, you'd get an iota of an idea about that. I expect similarities though.

Bro, lemme just tell you plainly. Hepatitis B is curable, but once you have tested positive before, that result will never change...for life.
Now, here's d deal. Military uses just the routine test to check for hepatitis. This test will still be positive EVEN AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN CURED. The only way to check that you have actually been CURED is to do a VIRAL LOAD. This viral load test is too expensive to be used for recruitment purposes, so they don't use that.

Summary is, just treat yourself for your own sake and be cured. But for military purposes, pls just forget it.

Now I know some people will come here to try and debunk what I've said, and try to offer you false hope. You can choose to believe them, but I assure you, that will amount to building castles in the air.

The way people talk about trying again, you'd think joining DSSC is like common entrance exam . Sidenote:If you know you can Hustle or you've impressed some highly ranked Naval personnel that can slot in your name for DSSC 27...please, be my guest.

There will be no other "list". One or two other guys may get SMS to join up, but that's all for now.

As for the criticisms on the list, race is not the only thing. Many things are considered, like the vacancies for each of the branches. For instance, if A and B has 6 vacancies, it doesn't matter if you're the best in your state; if that slot is filled it is filled. Then there's interview, there's written test. All these count individually. I'm not speaking for them of course, just telling you guys how this works.

Yes, except that I'm never trying again...DSSC 27 was unique and I competed with my prime strength. I'll keep navigating my civil life and the private jobs...except if there is a reserve list and my name ends up on it...ahahaha

I won't even lie to you, I ended in forth cage, but race isn't the only criteria, I remember the officers telling us, if you can't make it in the race, let your wriiten exams and board review do the magic for you.

Any average graduate would ace exam,Man.You mean interview that only one question was asked of most people. Using connections is not bad and some ppl weren't just lucky. The list just has a funny touch to it is all.

Race isn't the only criteria. Exam and Board Interview is also among the criteria. The fact that you performed better than them in the race doesn't mean that you performed better than them in other aspects. I'm not justifying that some of them didn't use connection though.

Lol....I saw the people on the list in my state and was seeing ppl that ended up in 4th cage and 5th cage. All of us that made 2nd cage in my state could not even find our names. Fact is life is unfair and we gots live with it...hahahahaha
