As for affiliation, it is not new that only institution they are affiliated can issue certificate.
Former college of education( Ignatius Ajuru University was once upon a time affiliated to UI, most of them used statement of result for a very long period of time.
It depends on several factors such sponsor, flexibility & course of study.
If you want to study education related courses while doing your job full time NTI is good, but if you want non- education courses, you have a sponsor, then go to regular!

The standard practice is to issue statement of results first before the original ,certificate which usually takes time to prepare.
They're lots of graduates in this country who haven't gone to collect their certificates years after graduating and this is at a very huge cost to the universities who have to spend extra money in keeping it safe for them.
So, why should the universities be the ones to bear the cost of their ex-students neglecting their own certificates?

That is not true, schools these days process your original certificate on demand. I can't speak for private schools, but public schools will asked you to apply with your statement then wait for a weeks or two to process it.
Don't forget, you will drop something for each of the offices your file will move to for smooth operation with exception to the registrar!

It is not a reversed marketing but demarketing someone's brand.
In June 2021, one crunchy biscuit was labeled a killer product from South Africa that was smuggled into Nigeria. Mid- last year, one DEW WATER was also demarketed, all on social media, Whatsapp to be precise.
I think drastic actions should be taken against people who derive joy in destroying competitors product or for whatever reason.
