Dear Mayorall, I sincerely commend this wonderful CSR initiative of giving back to Nairaland members. It is truly encouraging to see a company support growth and learning within the community. I have been a member of Nairaland for over 14 years and have always tried to contribute positively to discussions. Unfortunately, my current laptop has packed up, and using only my phone has been very cumbersome. If I am selected, I plan to use the laptop to learn AI automation and improve my digital skills. This will help me personally by making learning easier, academically by supporting my studies, and professionally by opening opportunities in tech and business. Well.... I'm very happy from the bottom of my heart that this is happening. This is the first thread I'm commenting on in a long while. I just love the smell of the breakfast served to the Oshodi Isolo people. How did he even become a representative of Yoruba people? Oshodi wey be some people ancestral land, all this Oshodi and Isolo wey be some people indigenous land. Una carry Okey out to be Una rep. Now he's repping his people. We shouldn't cry over this but we must learn to be conservative. Liberalism go finish us.
During the last election. There was this guy contesting in I think Aba. They had to give him a Yoruba name (Abiola) to discredit him because they know that once their people see a Yoruba name in between his name he won't get any votes.
When Ngige was contesting to be Anambra governor. Obi had to make posters of Ngige with Tinubu and the likes to make him look like a Yoruba candidate because once their people see that they won't vote him.
And there's another one. Where a man was saying God forbid a man from Ebonyi will become governor in Enugu but Yorubas are Libra and will cost us everything if we don't sit tight and rearrange ourselves.
Na only Yoruba man go de waka for him own ancestal land and foreigner go de insult am and he'll still go his own. Something you can't even try in Edo or Delta. Talkless of North or SE. This is well deserved... Makes me very happy. |

Igbos will see nothing wrong with this, showing you that the hypocrisy in Nigeria cuts across all tribes, especially those always claiming victims. This is in a Yoruba state by the way, not an Igbo state.
Can a Yoruba rep emerge in Enugu or Imo, talk less of using state funds for sponsoring majority Yorubas in the Igbo state?
Those people who claim victims the most are the ones who would eventually abuse power the most and be selfish to their own tribe alone if they had the opportunity... Biafra itself was a war of selfishness. |

Primary elections will start next month. We will be here by God’s grace to hold them accountable. Out of the 36 governorship tickets, at least 14 must be given to women. For the National Assembly, 44 women must get ADC senate tickets while 144 must get house of Reps tickets. Na you fail the comprehension test. They are telling you that 40% of positions in the party are reserved for women. It does not include elective position in Nigeria. It is talking of elective and non elective positions in the party's governance structure, ok. You can hold them accountable on that. |
