PCRC Holds Peace Walk In Rivers, Hails Gov Fubara at 50

By Prince Wiro

The Rivers State chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, on Tuesday marched through major roads and streets of Port Harcourt, capital city of Rivers State in commemoration of it's 2025 annual peace walk.

The PCRC members who converge at Isaac Boro Park as early as 7am, marched through Asarama Street to Old GRA, Forces Avenue, Azikiwe Road and terminated at the Government House Port Harcourt where they reiterated their commitment to service to humanity, support and promotion of peace and security in the state through their partnership with security agencies in community policing.

Speaking on their behalf at the Government House, Port Harcourt, Chairman of the PCRC in State, Voke Emore, commended the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara for prioritising peace and wellbeing of Rivers people in his administration, adding that he has written his name in bold letters in the history books as the first sitting Governor of Rivers State to grant an audience to the PCRC, Rivers State Command.

He said the peace walk was to sensitise the public of the existence PCRC and it's role in the society, and to also boost the morale and camaraderie of the PCRC members.

Emore also congratulated Governor Fubara on his 50th birthday celebration which also coincided with their peace walk, and pray that God Almighty grants him more wisdom in handling the affairs of the state.

He used the medium to call on Rivers people, especially the stakeholders in the state to join in ensuring sustainable peace in Rivers State.

He said, "We are here today for our 2025 annual peace walk. We want peace in Rivers State and Nigeria in extension. We have had a lot of issues, but we have enjoyed peace in Rivers State, and the PCRC has made it a point of call to ensure that peace remains in Rivers State, so we decided to take a match annually to tell Rivers people that peace is priceless and terror is senseless.

"As the Chief Security Officer of the State, we felt it was only proper that we stop by to receive your blessings before we start our regular activities for the year, and to also tell the government too of what we stand for. And that we are happy with what they are doing in keeping peace, how they have empowered the security, the police, the army and other sister agencies, among others.

"We also wish to assure you of our continued partnership and support to you and your government.

"And today happens to be the governor's birthday which is a good coincidence for us, we also want to use this opportunity to wish the governor a happy birthday."

Furthermore, he said, "The work of policing cannot be left to the Nigeria Police alone, hence the partnership between the Police and the PCRC, whose membership is made up of people drawn form every section of the society, covering every religious, political, regional divide and more.

"We advice all Rivers people especially the stakeholders maintain peace, no matter the political divide, Rivers State has been very peaceful thus far, which is quite amazing because when political tension stirs up you usually hear of killings left right and centre, but there is nothing like that so we applaud every party here, what we are asking for is that that peace is sustained. PCRC is ready to work with everybody to achieve this.

"This partnership is aimed at bridging the gap between the Police and the host communities, thereby engendering trust and mutual respect," he said.

In his response, the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, represented by the state Head of Service, George Nwaeke thanked members of the PCRC for their role in promoting peace in the state through their partnership with the police and other security agencies.

He said Governor Fubara is making several efforts to ensure that there is sustainable peace in Rivers State.

While commending the PCRC for their services to humanity, he stated that, "the governor is highly committed to serving humanity. Everything he does had at it's back, humanity.

"You are aware of what he has done for Rivers people, starting from the civil servants, where he has raised the hope of many hopeless people.

"Because of the governor's love for humanity, people that were denied promotion for years were promoted, and he has given promotion up to date, he has also paid their arrears. The governor has paid salaries of workers and other entitlements regularly. For two years now, Civil Servants also recieved N100.000 as Christmas bonus. This year he added retirees and public servants."

He thanked the PCRC for setting out 28th January for their annual peace walk. "28th of January is actually the governor's birthday. Setting out that day for your peace walk means you are immortalising his name, I want to thank you for that kind gesture."

"Every Community in Rivers State should be able to assist the police by imbibing the spirit of community policing," he said.

CrimeGroup Writes Rivers Cp,says Officers Charged Suspect For Assault Instead Kidnap by chiboyz1(op):
17th January, 2025

The Commissioner of Police,
Rivers State Police Command,
Moscow Road,
Port Harcourt,
Rivers State.

Sir,

PETITION OF GROSS INVESTIGATORY INCOMPETENCE, LACK OF DUE DILIGENCE, DELIBERATE REFUSAL TO INVESTIGATE, COMPROMISE IN INVESTIGATION, AND WRONGFUL CHARGE OF MR IKECHUKWU MADE AGAINST CSP MARTINS SAMUEL, AND AND INSP FRANCIS UDOM (THE IPO IN CHARGE OF THE CASE COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS EKO WITH GSM NUMBER 09166272239) ALL OF THE MINI OKORO DIVISIONAL POLICE HEADQUARTERS, RIVERS STATE

We are a nonprofit organizations (NGO) with a mandate to promote human rights in Nigeria. We represent Mr Daniel Chukwuemeka Onyeabor, (hereinafter referred to as ‘Our Client’) and on whose instructions we write

Our Clients is a law abiding Nigerian who is a fashion designer and the owner of the brand. He is also a social media influencer.

Mr Ikechukwu is a member of a notorious gang of kidnappers, cultists and homosexuals. Other members of the gang are presently at large and unleashed on the general public by the miniokoro Divisional Police Headquarters who compromised the case and allowed the main suspect to prowl the streets again.

CSP Martins Samuel is the Police Officer whose name appears on the charge Sheet with which the suspect was charged to court; while Inspector Francis Udom is the Investigating Police Officer who was directly involved in the investigation of this case and who is deemed complicit in the allegations herein.

It is Our Brief that on Saturday the 27th day of April, 2024, Our Client was invited somewhere in Oyigbo, Rivers State, by Mr Mr Ikechukwu and members of his gang, in the pretext of giving him clothes for sewing. Upon arrival, he was kidnapped for ransom. While in their den, Our Client was raped in turn by the gang of Kidnappers and ransom collected from Our Client’s father and some other close friends of Our Client, this caused Our Client to do a petition to the Commissioner of Police, who assigned the petition to Anti-cultism and subsequently, to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of Mini-Okoro Divisional Police Headquarters, Rivers State. Find attached copy of Initial Petition dated the 6th day of May, 2024, written by the Managing Partner of Lawstones for your perusal.

After a long period of tracking by Our Client, one of the culprits in person of Mr Ikechukwu was finally arrested on the 10th day of November, 2024 at a fashion show, where he almost escaped from, sensing that the police was on his trail. He was detained till the 31st day of December, 2024 and charged to court for assault occasioning harm without the knowledge of Our Client. Even upon charging the matter to court, the investigating police Officer refused to take Our Client calls until the 10th day of January when he picked the call of the Director of Litigations who called his gsm number 09166272239. He asked the Director of Litigations to come to the division but refused to see him when he arrived there but sent the charge sheet to him via phone, and when the Director complained about the clandestine arraignment of the suspect in his custody without the knowledge of either Our Client or the firm, he refused to say a word . Find attached a copy of the charge sheet for your perusal.

To our consternation, the suspect after all the ordeal of kidnapping for ransom, gang rape, indecent Assault was only arraigned on the least offense of Assault despite all the glaring evidence which was availed the IPO. Evidence abound of the amount of #500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) that was collected from the father of Our Client and the sum of money withdrawn from Our Client when he was in the den; Evidence also abound of the grievious bodily harm inflicted on Our Client; there is plethora of evidence that will lead to the arrest of the other members of the gang and also the POS used for receiving funds and the history of all the funds received via that route and how such funds were dissipated. A thorough investigation of this case would have revealed a gang of organized criminals in Rivers State, who are part of the menace of the state, but the IPO elected to have this case compromised and charged the suspect to court on very trivial grounds in order for him to be released. All the exhibits required for the prosecution of this case were availed the IPO who suppressed them, See all attachments

Prior to this incident, the IPO urged Our Client in Our Presence to have mercy on the wife of the suspect because she was pregnant (according to him). He urged Our Client to discuss with them and see how they can reach an agreement for compensation. When Our Client, told him he was not interested in settlement, the IPO told Our Clients to be wise, that the compensation does not stop the arraignment of the suspect in court, that the administration of Criminal Justice Law of the State provides for both compensation and conviction. This led to series of meetings with the lawyers of the suspect where Our Client emphatically told the lawyers representing the suspect that he insists on being compensated for all his losses as the case in issue bothers on crime and not a civil transaction.

At the station, the IPO also told our client, that if he proves too difficult on this case, he knows what to do. Never did Our Client envisage that that he was going to let the suspect of the hook of his heinous crimes by charging him on a lesser offense to evade justice. The IPO has also paid deaf ears to the arrest of the remaining gang members who are roaming free in the state. All pleas and information availed the IPO for their arrest has been resisted.

Worst still, on the 15th day of January, Our Client informed us that he noticed a black Highlander Jeep trailing him which we dismissed as coincidence, until a similar Highlander Jeep tried to double-cross the car of the Director of Litigations on Thursday, the 16th day of January, 2025, between the hours of 18:39pm to 18:41pm, as he was ascending the Obiri-Ikwere bridge. He was able to maneuver his car and was fortunate that a convoy of security men who were on escort came bye at that time. He drove into their middle despite all warnings and that was how he escaped from the Highlander Jeep.

Presently the lives of the Our Client and the lawyers who are involved in this case are in grave danger, kindly use your good office as the Chief Security Officer of the State;
To ensure the re-arrest, proper investigation and re-arraignment of the suspect and members of his gang;
The discipline of the errant police officers for refusal to investigate and the unleashing of a ravenous homosexual kidnap King-pin on the general public; and
To save our souls.

We anticipate a favourable consideration of this petition.

Thank you for cooperation.

Yours faithfully.

Abuja Real Estate Mogul,Omokamo Godwin-Isaac Aka Bilkisu Responds To Allegation Of Land Grabbing,Property Fraud,Intimidation Bu Online Media

Setting the Record Straight: Rebecca Omokamo Godwin-Isaac, Known as Hajiya Bilkisu Ishaku Aliyu, Responds to Allegations of Land Grabbing, Intimidation, Property Fraud, and Document Forgery

It is with profound sadness and emotional pain that I respond to the relentless and false allegations leveled against me, my family, and my business. These accusations, most recently published on December 23, 2024, by Sahara Reporters under the headline "How Nigerian Police Authorities Protect 'Notorious Abuja Landgrabber' Bilikisu Aliyu Accused of Intimidation, Property Fraud, Document Forgery," have caused immense distress to me and those who depend on me. These claims are completely unfounded and represent a deliberate attempt to destroy everything I have worked so hard to build. Today, I must share my story to clear the air and appeal to the public's sense of justice and fairness.
________________________________________
The Facts of the Property Acquisition
I, Rebecca Omokamo Godwin-Isaac, known as Hajiya Bilkisu Ishaku Aliyu, I am a realtor, who entered into this transaction not as a realtor but as a person who desire a place to live with my family and as such entered into this property purchase in good faith with one Mr. Richard Idakwogi John, the CEO and Managing Director of Rychado Homes Limited. Having done business with Mr. Richard for years, I had no reason to doubt his professionalism or integrity. I trusted him completely when he presented me with original documents for the property—Plot 4022 in Guzape District, Abuja—and I proceeded to purchase it. I paid in full for the property, intending to create a home for myself and my family.
It was a dream come true for my husband, my children, and me when we moved into the property. It became our sanctuary, a place filled with love, joy, and the promise of a bright future. However, despite my genuine intentions and the transparency of this transaction, the Yesufu family has continued to spread falsehoods and make defamatory claims against me, tarnishing my image and attempting to destroy everything I have worked so hard to build.
Mr. Richard himself has admitted in front of witnesses, including my colleague and business partner Ugochukwu Nnam, who is also a business partner to Mr. Richard, that I paid for the property in full. This admission was also made during meetings with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which were attended by:
• Olanipekun Olukoyede, EFCC Chairman
• Abdulkareem Chiko, Director of Investigations
• EFCC Staff: Paul, Ahmed, and Bashir
• Pastor Isaiah Yesufu, a member of the Yesufu family and Pastor at RCCG Throne Room, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja
I have purchased multiple properties from Mr. Richard in the past without any issues. It is heartbreaking that what was supposed to be a legitimate transaction has turned into a weapon used to harass and intimidate me. The constant attacks have not only affected my business but have also put my family’s peace and safety at risk.
________________________________________
A Track Record of Integrity and Credibility
I want to categorically state that I am not a privileged individual relying on influence or favoritism to acquire property. My father is not a royal highness in the North, nor do I have any connections to grant me undue access to land. Every piece of land I own was legitimately purchased, paid for in full, with proof of payment and witnesses to every transaction.
I challenge anyone to inquire about my company, Homadil Realty Ltd, or me, Hajiya Bilkisu Ishaku Aliyu, anywhere in Nigeria or beyond. No one can truthfully claim that we have ever defrauded them. Over the years, I have built my integrity and credibility to the highest standard, and I stand firmly by my reputation.
Furthermore, neither I nor Homadil Realty Ltd has ever been allocated land. We do not have any insider connections or employees working at AGIS (Abuja Geographic Information System). All the properties we own were purchased through legitimate means, backed by proper documentation and credible witnesses. These facts reflect the principles of transparency and fairness that I, my family, and my company uphold at all times.
________________________________________
My Efforts to Resolve the Dispute
Although I am an innocent party in this matter, I have taken proactive steps to resolve the dispute amicably. Out of goodwill, I offered compensation to the Yesufu family, even though I bear no responsibility for the issues surrounding the property. Regrettably, these efforts were outrightly rejected. Their refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue and their insistence on pursuing a campaign of harassment and defamation suggest that their intent is not justice but rather my personal and professional downfall.
________________________________________
The Role of the Yesufu Family
I am deeply saddened and troubled that members of the Yesufu family, who know the truth about this matter, have remained silent while Abdul Rahman Yesufu continues to lead a campaign of false allegations, harassment, and defamation against me, my company, and my family. Among them are Isaiah Yesufu, Coleen Mero Yesufu, Maimunatu Yesufu, Nurudeen Yesufu, and Khadijah Iye Yesufu. Their silence in the face of this injustice is both heartbreaking and disappointing.
It is even more troubling that Abdul Rahman Yesufu has refused to attend EFCC meetings and interviews to address this matter. Only his brother, Isaiah Yesufu, showed up to these meetings, further emphasizing how Abdul Rahman is taking this issue personally and avoiding resolution. Instead of engaging constructively or seeking the truth, he has resorted to posting malicious publications while hiding behind a façade of anonymity. After his most recent defamatory publication on December 23, 2024, he fled to the United Kingdom, leaving behind a trail of hurt and damage. This is nothing short of cowardly behavior—refusing to face the issue, refusing to settle, and instead hiding while continuing to stir up trouble.
They know the truth, and so does he. Why would they stand by and watch as a fellow human being—a woman, a mother, and a hard-working entrepreneur—is subjected to such cruelty? Does Abdul Rahman Yesufu not have sisters or daughters? Would he allow anyone to treat them this way? Would the rest of the family watch in silence if the roles were reversed?
I appeal to their sense of justice and humanity. I urge them to reflect on their actions—or lack thereof—and the harm they are allowing to unfold. Let us act with fairness, compassion, and respect for the truth.
________________________________________
A Coordinated Vendetta by the Yesufu Family
This matter has gone far beyond a property dispute. It has turned into a coordinated and targeted vendetta led by Abdul Rahman Yesufu to tarnish my name, destroy my business, and intimidate my family.
As a young woman striving to succeed in the male-dominated field of real estate, I have faced countless challenges, but I have persevered. These recent attacks feel like an effort to tear me down simply because I have worked hard and achieved success. Why would anyone want to destroy a woman who is tirelessly working to build a better future for herself, her family, and the community? These actions are not just hurtful; they highlight a troubling aspect of our society where hard-working individuals are targeted simply for trying to succeed.
________________________________________
The Arrest of My Husband
The harassment I have faced extends beyond baseless allegations. My husband was unjustly arrested by the EFCC and detained for two weeks. This baseless detention was a deliberate attempt to intimidate me and tarnish our family’s reputation. It is appalling that innocent individuals can be targeted and detained in the name of personal vendettas. This experience has caused us immense emotional and psychological distress.
I must ask: How can we build a society where people can manipulate systems of power to harm others for personal gain? These actions have not only violated my rights but have also shaken my faith in the systems meant to protect law-abiding citizens like myself.

Addressing the Allegations
1. Land Grabbing and Property Fraud Allegations:
I purchased the property in good faith, trusting the professionalism and reputation of Mr. Richard Idakwogi John, who provided me with all necessary documentation. These allegations are false, malicious, and defamatory, designed solely to discredit me and harm my business.
2. Document Forgery Allegations:
At no point have I engaged in the forgery of any documents. All documentation was provided by Mr. Richard Idakwogi John, and I acted in full trust based on the information he presented. The claim of forgery is baseless and intended to destroy my reputation.
3. Intimidation Allegations:
I categorically deny any claims of intimidation. On the contrary, I have been the victim of intimidation, harassment, and cyberbullying, as evidenced by the repeated defamatory publications and my husband’s unjust detention.
4. Matter Is Currently in Court:
It is important to note that this matter is currently before the court. I believe in the rule of law and trust the judicial system to deliver a fair and just outcome. I urge all parties to respect the judicial process and allow the courts to do their job without interference.
________________________________________
Confidentiality Breach Amidst Ongoing Legal Proceedings
I am deeply pained and concerned that while this matter is still in court, members of the Yesufu family have taken it upon themselves to release privileged documents and sensitive information to the public. These actions are not only an attack on my reputation but also a violation of my fundamental rights to fairness and justice, as guaranteed by Section 36(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
Despite enduring the emotional toll of these false accusations, the deliberate public dissemination of confidential materials by the Yesufu family has heightened my distress and jeopardized my safety. It is clear that these actions are part of a continued effort to tarnish my name and destroy my business. The law is explicit: the Evidence Act 2011 strictly regulates how documents are handled in legal matters. The premature release of such documents is not just unlawful but also a direct attempt to influence public perception and harm me further.
I appeal to the Yesufu family and all involved to respect the ongoing legal proceedings and refrain from actions that further harm me, my family, or my business. I believe in the justice system and trust that the courts will deliver a fair and impartial judgment. Let us allow the law to take its course without interference or undue exposure.
________________________________________
A Call for Justice and Fairness
I appeal to the public and the authorities to judge this matter based on facts, not sensationalized and misleading reports. I am a woman striving to succeed in an industry dominated by men, and I should not have to endure this level of harassment and defamation.
Is it right for someone to engage in cyberbullying and repeatedly expose me to public ridicule? Are we now living in a society where people can attack others with impunity? These malicious actions are not just an attack on me; they harm my family, my business, and the people who depend on my work for their livelihoods.
________________________________________
Conclusion.
This case is already in court and as we all know, when a case is in court, parties are expected not to discuss the strength of their case or the weakness of the other parties case.

I know with time the judiciary will put all these issues to rest judiciously.
I therefore urge the general public to
Disregard any negative news concerning me or my business, it is an act of mischief makers, who does not have respect for the rule of law.
In conclusion, I, Rebecca Omokamo Godwin-Isaac, known as Hajiya Bilkisu Ishaku Aliyu, remain steadfast in my belief in justice, fairness, and the truth. I am confident that the courts will deliver a fair judgment and that my name will be cleared.
I thank everyone who has supported me during this challenging time, and I appeal to the public to see the truth behind these attacks. Let us uphold the principles of justice, fairness, and integrity, and allow the courts to ensure that justice prevails.
________________________________________
A Call to Action for the Media
Finally, I respectfully request that all media outlets, including Sahara Reporters, retract the false and defamatory claims made against me and give me an opportunity to present my side of the story. Let us stand together for truth and fairness, and protect the dignity of every individual.

CrimeLAWJII Writes IGP Egbetokun, condemns Arrest Of Farotimi Esq by chiboyz1(op): 12:13pm On Dec 04, 2024
The Lawyers Watch For Justice International Initiative has written to the Nigeria Inspector General of Police,IGP Kayode Egbetokun expressing deep concern on the manner in which Dele Farotimi Esq law firm was invaded and staff device confiscated by Police Office.

4th,December, 2024
THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE
LOUIS EDET HOUSE,
FORCE HEADQUARTERS,
ABUJA.
GRAVE CONCERN ON THE ATROCIOUS ARREST OF DELE FAROTIMI, ESQ; THE
HARRASMENT OF HIS STAFF AND INVASION OF HIS LAW OFFICE

Lawyers Watch for Justice International Initiative condemns the illicit arrest of Dele Farotimi on purely a
civil concern. We consider the harassment and seizure of the phones of his staff and the invasion of his law
firm as very disturbing, unwarranted and cruel.

These actions flagrantly violate the rule of law and blatantly infringe upon his fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

It is imperative to note that Dele Farotimi is a vocal critic and a human rights activist whose opinions are
aimed at nation building. Hence, he is entitled to express his opinions on matters of public interest without
fear of reprisal.
His arrest and the invasion of his office is detrimental to the progress and development of any society globally as this act has the potential to severely curtail freedom of expression in Nigeria and undermine the fundamental human rights of all citizens.
The authority of the Nigerian Police Force to embark on investigations cannot be undermined, but such must be exercised within the ambits of the law and with utmost respect for fundamental freedoms, which is not the position now. This arrest is extremely unpleasant and reprehensible; and we call for the following;
a. Immediate Release: The immediate release of Dele Farotimi, as his arrest is unwarranted;
b. Diligent Investigation: with due diligence the police should investigate the circumstances leading to
the arrest of Dele Farotimi and the manner in which the arrest was executed.
We urge the Nigerian Police Force to be very circumspect in this case and ensure that her duties are always discharged within the boundaries of the law and respect for human rights.

The retired officer appealed to Inspector General of Police,IGP Kayode Egbetokun to set up Service Delivery Committee to ensure these letters get to the affected officers as at when due as many of the retirees who are alive today are suffering and dying without enjoying their benefits, remuneration and allowance haven escaped from men of the under world and hazard on the job while in active service.

CEO Of Homadil Realty Writes Open Letter To President Tinubu Over Alleged Rights Abuse,Harrasment By EFFC

The Chief Executive Officer of Homadil Realty Limited, with headquarters in Abuja has written an open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over alleged rights abuse and harassment by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).

In the letter the real estate CEO,called on the President to call the EFCC to order.

My name is Rebecca Omokamo Godwin-Isaac (Haija Bilkisu Ishaku Yusuf). I am the Chief Executive Officer of Homadil Realty Limited, headquartered in Abuja.

I am an upright, honest, humble, responsible, hardworking, God-fearing, philanthropic, and law-abiding citizen of Nigeria who believes in the rule of law and the Nigerian legal/judicial system.

I grew up in the ancient commercial city of Kano in Northern Nigeria, raised by missionary parents. Growing up was challenging as my parents struggled to provide for us on their meager missionary stipends. We were brought up with strict moral values, integrity, and honor.

Through determination and the assistance of a few family friends, I gained admission to the University of Maiduguri, where I obtained my BA English Language, a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Planning, and an MBA. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D.

During my university years, I supported myself by traveling to Lagos on weekends to buy goods, which I sold to fellow students for profit. I also sold my bed spaces to wealthy students who couldn't get hostel allocations, using the proceeds to fund my education and support my family. This entrepreneurial experience motivated me to enter the real estate business during my National Youth Service 2009 in Kogi State. I have always maintained a life of celibacy, discipline, and prudence, in line with my upbringing. As a happily married woman, I have never cheated or defrauded anyone. I resolve business issues amicably to ensure client satisfaction, adhering to my philosophy that clients are paramount.

I do not work at Agis; all the lands I have as a developer were purchased. Recently, I have been wrongly accused and subjected to media trials by the EFCC for alleged land grabbing and falsifications, which are attempts to smear my character, destroy my legitimate business, and ridicule me and my family. I am writing this article to state the facts of the case, expose the EFCC's compromised position, and highlight their disregard for court orders.

I purchased a land described as plot 4022 in the Guzape district of Abuja. I validly perfected the land documents with Agis and the Development Control Department of the Federal Capital, obtained all necessary approvals, paid the prescribed fees, and received my certificates of title. I took possession of the land and began development without any issues for over three years.

After substantial progress, including roofing, plastering, and installing utilities, I received a call from the Development Control Department about a petition claiming I had taken over the land illegally. I provided my transaction documents for verification, and the issue was resolved. I continued with the finishing work, moved in with my family, and settled down.

One morning, EFCC operatives stormed my house, chased away my staff, and left a notice on the building. They instructed me to report to their headquarters, which I did through my lawyers due to my business trip. The EFCC levied numerous allegations against me, including the land issue. My lawyers requested a meeting with the complainant for fair hearing, but the EFCC refused, citing confidentiality. When my lawyers insisted, the EFCC threatened severe consequences if I did not hand over the property.

Sensing a lack of fair hearing from the EFCC, I approached the court for justice. I obtained a restraining order against the EFCC, which they blatantly ignored by invading my house, detaining my husband and staff for fourteen days without charging them to court. This behavior by the EFCC reveals their intent to embarrass and humiliate my family and destroy my business.

The EFCC's media publications revealed the petitioner as the faceless YESUFU family and exposed my financial standing, endangering my family. Despite court proceedings, the EFCC and the YESUFU family refuse to appear in court, opting for media trials and harassment instead.

Recently, I embraced Islam and changed my name from Rebecca Omokamo Godwin-Isaac to Bilkisu Ishaku Aliyu, reflecting my new faith and identity. However, the EFCC has attempted to tarnish my reputation by falsely accusing me of fraudulently using multiple names. This baseless accusation is a deliberate attempt to undermine my credibility and discredit my legitimate business endeavors.

I have also learned of plans to arrest me upon my return to Nigeria for making press statements about this issue.

I plead for the intervention of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the EFCC Chairman to call the EFCC operatives to order and allow me to occupy my property without intimidation, harassment, or oppression. My family and staff have been traumatized by the EFCC's unlawful actions, and we now live in constant fear.

Rebecca Omokamo Godwin Isaac(Hajia Bilkisu Ishaku Yusuf).

Recall that the spokesperson of EFCC,Dele Oyewale had in his response told Journalists that EFCC is professional in their duty and do not violate suspects rights and do not detain suspects beyond the constitutional provisions.
Mr Oyewale while stressing that EFFC always effect arrest with arrest warrant also denied allegation that EFCC sponsored publication of the real estate Chief's bank details

Abuja Real Estate CEO Accuse EFCC Of Detaining Her Husband,Staff Unjustly Over A Civil Matter In Court As Anti-Graft Agency Deny Allegation,Police Speaks

Hajiya Bilikisu Ishaqu, Proprietress of Homadil Reality,a real estate firm in Abuja has alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT),Nigeria is detaining her husband,Mr Isaac Ishaku Yusuf and some staff of the organization unjustly over a landed property case which is in court awaiting judgement.

Mrs Ishaqu made the allegation in an audio speech which was made available to Journalists on Saturday,20th July,2024.

She said "I received numerous messages while I was abroad from family and friends about a libelous story published across various media platforms.

"The responses suggest that the story was sponsored and clearly intend to tarnish my good image, that of my company homadil reality.

"I bought the land and have all the necessary documents,i will forward to you for further investigation.

"As a business woman with integrity,I have never defrauded anyone in Nigeria or abroad.

"I am a law abiding citizen.I have never heard of the Yesefu family,I have never had an encounter with them. The family never contacted me or surfaced. The first time i heard of them was on 10th July through the media publication.

"The only person who contacted me was Michael Bara from development control saying his Boss Aisha from FCDA want to know who i bought the land from. I told them and presented all the necessary documents for verification.

"It is important to let you know that no court order was violated by me or the Police in this matter.I was the one who took the matter to court and we are still waiting for the judgement yet the story has been distorted to suit their purposes"

Mrs Ishaku further alleged that the faceless contenders of the landed property she bought at 4022A09 Guzape Abuja are using the media and EFCC to harass, intimidate and expose her financial status to the public .

She disclosed that the faceless contenders even went ahead and created a fake instagram account in her company name.

"I dont know what they are upto. They have shown disregard to justice and judicial process.of our beloved country Nigeria.

"On 12 July about 10am EFCC officials arrived at our residence without prior notice, and forcefully arrested my husband and thirty five others without presenting a warrant or providing an explanation.

"They use forces and pointed gun at them, why did EFCC arrest my husband and workers immediately after the libellous publication against me.This sudden interference left our house wide open posing significant risk to us and our property .

"The conduct of EFCC officials is alarming and distressing .The manner in which the operation was conducted has caused destruction to our family, leaving us feeling vulnerable and violated

"Till date no formal charges has been brought against my husband or any of the workers arrested.Despite meeting all the high bail condition set by the EFCC,they refused to release my husband and some workers.

"I am now seeking a proper and lawful means to request investigation into this matter" she said.

In the meantime, the spokesperson of EFCC,Dele in a telephone chat with one of the Journalists who contacted him stated that EFCC do not go for arrest without warrant and do not keep suspect beyond the provisions of the constitution.

Adewale also explained that EFCC cannot sponsor anybody to publish account detail of suspects and the agency operates within the confines of rule of law.

Meanwhile the Nigeria Police has released a statement on the allegation against the Police on the matter.

Attached is the press statement by the Police

PRESS RELEASE
IGP HAS NO BUSINESS WITH CIVIL MATTERS,
AS POLICE WARNS MISCHIEF MAKERS DRAGGING IGP'S NAME INTO LAND MATTER.

The Nigeria Police Force has noted with amusement the recent allegations made against the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, in connection with a land dispute involving one Ms. Bilikisu Ishaqu Aliyu and the Yesufu family. We find it necessary to address these unfounded claims and provide clarity on the matter, more so that the claims painted the police as an irresponsible, meddlesome, and lawless agency.

It will be recalled that the AIT in their publication of 10th July, 2024, titled 'Yesufu Family Seeks Justice As Police Authorities Fail to Investigate Bilikisu Ishaqu', distorted the facts in the case in question and thus misled the public.

First and foremost, it is important to emphasize that the IGP shouldn't be dragged into civil matters such as this land dispute. The NPF’s role is primarily to maintain law and order and ensure public safety. The police only intervene in disputes when there are clear criminal elements involved.

Similarly, the assertion that the police are at odds with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is unfounded, laughable, and without merit. The NPF maintains a cooperative and professional relationship with the EFCC, and there are no conflicts between the two agencies on this extant case or any other matter whatsoever. Any suggestion to the contrary is a blatant attempt to mislead the public and create unnecessary tension between both agencies.

It is also vital to make it clear that if the parties involved in the dispute in question feel aggrieved and require the intervention of the IGP, there are proper channels to follow. Instead of resorting to media blackmail and attempting to malign the IGP’s reputation or ridiculing the Police institution, the concerned parties should make an official contact through the appropriate channels. The NPF is always open to addressing legitimate concerns and providing assistance where necessary, provided the correct procedures are followed.

The Nigeria Police therefore urges the public to disregard these unfounded claims in the media and continue to seek intervention from the police on issues capable of triggering crisis and violence, as the Force is committed to promoting peace, unity and progress in our dear country.

CrimeRights Activist Calls On Rivers Governor To Redeem 100M Pledge On DPO Killers by chiboyz1(op): 9:14am On Jul 18, 2024
A Youth activist and social Commentator,Charles Jaja has disclosed that the failure on the part of Rivers state government to redeem the pledge of one hundred million naira bounty placed on infamous cult leader,David Gift aka 2Baba said to be the mastermind of killing of SP Bako Angbashim , will breach trust and reduce morale of whistle blowers from giving useful information to the police and other security agencies.

Mr Jaja made the assertion while reacting to the failure of Rivers state government to redeem the pledge five months after the Police killed and paraded the corpse of 2Baba.

In an interview,Comrade Jaja said "He(Governor) was not forced to make the pronouncement,he made it because he wanted people to come out to give information.

"And if someone has come out to give information,i feel that he should redeem his pledge to the people,so that people can continually bring information to our security agencies.

"Something of this nature will discourage the people not to come to security agencies with any further information owing to the fact that they will say the Governor made promise sometime ago and he did not fulfill it.

"I feel that whether there is any strained relationship between him and the Police command in the state, that should not be the issue, the issue here is that he made a promise and should keep to that promise by releasing the said one hundred million naira to the people".

Recall that Governor Fubara on the 9th of September,2023 in a state security council meeting attended by security chiefs in the state, made a pledge of one hundred million naira to any person or group of persons who will give useful information that will lead to capture of 2Baba the killer of SP Angbashim, the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) of Ahoada Police Division as at that time.

The Police announced the death of 2Baba on 19th February,2024 after a fierce gun battle with him on 17th February,2024 while his corpse which was taken away and buried by his colleagues in a shallow grave, was exhumed and paraded by the Police on 23rd February,2024.

Till date the Rivers state government is yet to redeem the pledge if one hundred million naira bounty placed on the notorious cult leader.
