You can never please these people. I've listen to the song many times and I don't see how Aunt Tiwa and David spoil that song. The owner spoilt the record himself' why' because if listen attentively well to David and Tiwa's part the instrumental/beat and mixing wasn't okay at all' it sounds different from the original version, which I think its the producer's fault... #my opinion
thanks a lot for dis! My thought exactly.

Chocolate City rapper, Ice Prince is quite a lover boy. The Jos-born rapper has had his fair share of fame, women and money and he still seems to be on a roll.

The very talented rapper hit limelight in September 2010 with the release of his debut single, ‘Oleku’ featuring Brymo and instantly, the song became a monster hit and the legend of Ice Prince Zamani began.

For the next two years, he was fully focused on his career and busy with shows, tours, concerts, collaborations and along the line came endorsements and business deals.

Bimbo Babatunde

In 2012, it happened. Ice Prince knowingly/unknowingly put 20-year old undergraduate, Bimbo Babatunde in the family way. As expected, Ice Prince denied the pregnancy and on Thursday, March 1, 2012, a spitting image of the rapper was born and he was christened Jamal Zamani. With all the baby mama drama that surrounded Jamal’s birth, it was obvious that Ice Prince never really loved Bimbo, and swiftly, he moved on.

Ice Prince and Yvonne Nwosu

In January 2013, multiple pictures of Ice Prince and pretty fair-skinned Yvonne Nwosu flooded the internet (bedroom pictures inclusive) at that time Ice already had a son while Yvonne also had a daughter. They both enjoyed it while it lasted and Ice soon moved on to another Yvonne, albeit one very popular.

Ice Prince and Yvonne Nelson

At the end of 2013, Ice Prince was one of the celebrities that starred in Yvonne Nelson’s movie titled House of Gold and they both seemed to share a chemistry that led to a very brief relationship which Ice Prince confirmed in an interview with Olisa Adibua on The Truth in 2014 saying: ‘She is a very very busy person, she was busier than I was at that time, I am very busy person as well, I’m never round, we don’t have time to cheer each other, so I kinda created space so we moved on.’

Ice Prince and Maima

Moving on yet again, Ice Prince now seems to have found a new love and this time he’s flaunting it. Her name is Maima, she’s a super pretty French-Ghanaian model who also seems to be really into Ice Prince.

Their relationship started in the 3rd quarter of 2014 and they’ve both been flaunting each other on social media. A few days back, Maima caused some buzz when she shared a picture promoting Ice Prince’s new EP ‘Thrash Can’ and in the process revealed eye-popping cleavage. 24 hours later, Ice Prince shared a picture in which he is seen planting a sweet kiss on Maima’s forehead.

With Maima, we hope Ice Prince truly finds love, settle down and concentrate on his music without distractions because truth be told, Ice Prince seems distracted and his latest efforts fall far short of the Panshak Zamani standards.

He is not likely to agree though.

CelebritiesPopular Nigerian Artistes Yet To Drop Debut Albums by chibyksveejay(op): 1:02am On Feb 20, 2015
The Nigerian music industry is indeed blessed with an abundance of fine talents that have stepped up the game and firmly positioned the country as a front-runner in the African entertainment circle.

In an intensely competitive market with new and fascinating acts springing up every now and then, the battle for prominence is interesting to watch for an observer, not so much though for an artiste trying to establish him or herself in the game.

One thing that helps in doing this, besides having good hit singles over time, is to also release a good album that does very well commercially. This debut album helps the artiste attain a much-desired level of recognition and a level of prominence and credibility. Artistes yet to achieve this are more or less still classified as ‘upcoming’ until they pass this stage.

NET highlights 7 prominent Nigerian artistes that still hold the upcoming status.

1).Eva Alordiah

She had a good start in 2008 as she dropped impressive joints, did several collaborations, won a couple of awards, bagged endorsement deals and steadily developed a strong fan base.

She is currently rated as one of the best Nigerian female rappers but how well she will fit into this esteemed category without an album remains to be seen.

The rapper promised a debut album for early January 2015 but has failed to keep to her words.

2).Skales

No doubt, he is a talented singer and rapper who has been active in the game since 2000. Formerly signed to EME Records since 2009, Skales left the label in 2014 after the expiration of his 4-year recording contract without producing his debut album.

He bounced back after signing with Baseline Music and has been headlining prominent shows across the country ever since. His comeback will however be much more remarkable with a dope rap/singing album which will surely be one of Nigeria’s finest hip-hop moments if he is up to it.

3).seyi shay
The pop singer started her solo career in 2011 after returning from London and hasn’t done badly in the Nigerian music scene.

She has been quite busy and prominent with massive hits and videos that have positioned her at the top of different music charts (notably with her single, ‘Murda’ which featured Patoranking and Shaydee).

Seyi has performed at several gigs but she still needs to come out with the long-awaited debut album to firmly cement her spot among Nigeria’s new generation divas.

4).Orezi

After about 6 years in the Nigerian music industry, the pop singer still carries the status of an upcoming artiste as he is yet to deliver his debut album.

He has impressed his fans and the industry so far with several smashing singles as well as putting out great visuals through which he’s won some awards.

But even with all this, the Delta State-born singer still needs to prove his competence and credibility and there is no better time to drop a debut album than now.

5).Niyola

She is a fantastic soul singer who many thought would take soul music to the next level in Nigeria ever since becoming a household name with the release of her hit single, ‘Toh Bad’.

She has been impressive so far with most of her collaborations, with the song, ‘Love to Love you’ ft Banky W enjoying quite massive airplay in 2014 but this singing sensation still needs to put up a good debut album to truly prove she’s here to stay.

6).Harrysong

Despite his acclaimed prowess as a proficient songwriter, Harrysong, who now chooses to be addressed as Mr Songz, still has a few points to prove in the Nigerian music industry.

Since breaking into limelight, he has released hit songs like ‘Am in love’, ‘Beta Pikin’ and ‘Mandela’, and also had collaborations with artistes like K’Cee, Daddy Showkey, and many others. But the pop singer is yet to deliver what is expected of him by his fans – an album.

He reportedly once claimed that he charges N1M to write a song for other artistes but hasn’t been able to put a debut album out to expand his fan base in the country despite increased anticipation.

A good album from the Five Star Music act will definitely see his ratings rise even better in the music Industry.

7).Patoranking

In spite of having an incredible start to his music career since 2009 and becoming the face of Nigerian reggae/dancehall music with his unique flavour, Patoranking is yet to drop an album.

His song, ‘Alubarika’ feat Timaya shot him to limelight as the song became a ‘national anthem’ of sorts and enjoyed massive airplay on radio and TV stations.

Patoranking has also followed up with massive hits and collaborations in the few years he’s been in the limelight and has won several awards in recognition of his contributions so far in the Nigerian music industry.

But, we think it’s high time for the Ebonyi State-born star to step up his game by releasing a debut album.

Like everyone else, music starts from the church, at childhood or while in school. Either ways, musicians in this part of the world often start to count their number of years from when they take music as a full time career or when they record/release their first song.

In this case, history has it that Mavin boss, Don Jazzy’s first full credit production work was in 2004 on D’banj’s debut single, ‘Tongolo’ and then he went on to produce D’banj’s debut album, No Long Thing that was released in 2005.

It is a well-known fact that Don Jazzy and D’banj relocated to Nigeria from the United Kingdom to pursue a career in music, and within a very short time, they both became household names and recorded astounding success.
Before relocating to Nigeria in 2004, Don Jazzy, born Micheal Collins Ajereh, got to London in 2000 and to survive, he picked up various odd jobs including working at McDonalds and as a security guard before his paths crossed with those of JJC and the 419 crew, Solek and Kas in the UK where he joined the crew and started honing his skills in music production.

With the news of the rapid growth of Nigerian music and its artistes, Don Jazzy and D’banj took the bold steps to relocate to Nigeria and officially, their careers kicked off.
Together, Don Jazzy and D’banj created what was, is and might probably remain the best music marriage in the Nigerian music industry. With Mo’hits records, they broke boundaries, released back-to-back hits, crossed borders, won awards, signed mega deals, signed up new artistes, and did so much more, before the union packed up in 2012 and they went their separate ways.

Fast forward to 2015, Don Jazzy has moved on to create a new label, Mavin Records, while D’banj has also formed DB Records, they have both signed up new acts and are building new empires of their own. Truth be told, they are both doing well.

D’banj, however, is rolling out the drums with a year-long event planned to celebrate his 10th anniversary as an entertainer, with plans to drop a 10th anniversary album with possible production credits from Don Jazzy.
And as a music producer, Don Jazzy has been the brain behind D’banj’s first 3 albums, he produced Dr. Sid’s debut album, Turning Point in 2010, Wande Coal’s Mushin To Mo Hits album in 2008, D’Prince’s debut album, Frenzy. He also produced the Mo’Hits joint album, Curriculum Vitae in 2007 as well as the Mavin Records’ Solar Plexus album in 2012.

The big question now is, as it is D’banj’s 10th anniversary, it is also Don Jazzy’s 10th anniversary, so will he be celebrating it or not?

With his impressive feats, Mr. Ajereh has every bragging right to throw a kingly gig – in Lagos (first leg), London, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Asia and back to Lagos for a final leg.

Don Jazzy, over to you!

Celebrities‘I Have A Lot Of Enemies’ – Davido by chibyksveejay(op): 5:29pm On Feb 19, 2015
HKN boss, Davido has revealed that he has a lot of enemies who are bent on bringing him down.

In a recent tweet, the BET award winner went into a brief rant but did not provide any specifics as it has become customary with him, writing: ‘I got enemies, I got a lotta enemies Got a lotta people tryna drain me of my energy.’

Davido, who is currently working on his sophomore album didn’t however reveal who his enemies are and taking another critical look at his post, he might be trying to intimate his fans with the lyrics of a new song.

With a flourishing music career, good looks, a lot of money in the bank and a billionaire dad behind him, why would Davido not have enemies? But he is cast to run over them all and keep shining, especially as we know how much of a hard worker he is.
