That aside, I don't think Arsenal have Man United's defensive capabilities.

Truth be told Milan were Pathetic on that very night and it took 2 very late goals to break us down.
If Wengay employs the same tactics, they will be only one winner.

dayokanu:
Wengay cant use that tactics.

Arsenal doesnt play direct football. If you look at those goals by Chelsea maximum they took 4 touches from initiation to Goal. Can Arsenal be that direct? They must complete their Rinus Michels complete football 25 passes which enables the opposition to settle down.

If you can rush Barca then you have the advantage but if you allow them to settle down Na wahala be dat.

They would pass you to sleep
I actually think Bendtner will do some serious damage tonight. They'll probably Isolate him with puyol(who is both slow and short) and try to take advantage of his weaknesses.
True that Arsenal don't know how to play Direct footy however I won't be that suprised if once in a while they lunch the ball towards Bendtner.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (In Arsenal We Trust) by chic2pimp(m): 5:23pm On Mar 31, 2010
Wengay might just use the same Tactics Jose used @ the bridge in 2005.
Before Barca realised what had hit them, Chelski were already 3 goals up.

It was just like how u came out blazing hot in the early minutes against Barca, only to be thoroughly kobokoed for the rest of the match; only that Rooney's marker slipped and he got wide open.
It is so funny how much difference that late goal by Olic made in people's rating.Forget about man to man comparison(Bommel/Fletcher) and look at Fletcher's over-all game,he was one of the best performer in a surprisingly dire United set-up.That dude has to be the most under-praised United player this term.He has add a creativity and flair to his game and seems to be iproving with each game.
Ofcourse it would.
After all he was the one driving the team forward from the centre of the pitch.
Fletcher did not by any means have a bad game but taking everything into consideration Van Bommel was better.
The game comes at the heel of a Man U/Chelsea game and that makes it the more interesting. . .

With Robben and Schweinsteiger back and Manure possibly missing Rooney.

He is in the top 3 @ the very least along with A.Cole and Possibly Lahm

Bayern had the better chances. . . . .They were better on the night but this is not OVER by a country mile.
2-1 is a very good result AWAY from home. If we had drawn 1-1, we would still need to score at OT to advance cos United will never play for 0-0 result only for Bayern to nick one at the death.
So i will take 1-1 or 2-1.
Ofcourse it ain't over.
Who scores the First goal @ Ojoro trafford might just prove crucial

He didn't defend, he added nothing offensively. . . . .He was on that pitch when Nani and Vidic hit the cross-bar.
What else? Butt was also better than VDS?
Van Bommel might not have contributed something concrete but he did what he had to do very well.
He was the Best Midfielder on the Pitch tonight.
Also, It wasn't his Job to Mark either Nani or Vidic, was it? undecided
We got the AWAY goal. . . . .I am very happy with that.
Had Bayern won 1-0, i would be kicking maself seriously but with MY away goal. . . . .I say bring on Bayern with Robben, Schweini, Rummenigge and Beckenbauer. They will be EATEN alive by Old Trafford IMMORTALS.
I don't see it as clear cut as you do.
For starters Bayern will go into the tie with a lead and so y'all would have to attack em'.
And With the pace & trickery of robbery on the wings(especially on the counterattack), your fullbacks are in for one hell of a night.
Your only saving grace is that Bayern's Defence is piss poor.

Van Bommel might not have eaten Fletcher but he was simply the better player of the two on the night.
