Obi is a failure. Spare us the ethnocentric Taqiyah. No one well-read and educated will fall for it because those who understand the qualities a good leader should possess would know the manifesation of talented leadership is first and foremost visible evidence of teansformational achievements.

Tinubu, for example, single-handedly built and nurtured ACN into Nigeria's main opposition Party that had ousted PDP from power from the SW and officially had the most Governors in comparison to the PDP ruling Party as at circa 2013.

Meanwhile the incompetent, clueless and divisive Obi inherited APGA, he had no hand in building, from Ojukwu and proceeeded to run it into the ground and leave it much worse by the time he ported to PDP. Afterwards he fled to labour.

Do people like you feel no shame when you come out with these nonsensical lies you think can decieve others about the empty reality of Peter Obi or you assume all that read your posts are unintelligent and lacking knowledge of Nigeria politics and Nigeria political leaders?

When his successor took over he built an airport, with the money Obi saved. Now Soludo has now built a befitting dual carriageway linking the airport to the city of Akwa . Both sides of that road are a bit empty at d moment both would be an investment heaven for real estate and other asundry. The multiplayer effect of the airport and carriageway would not only double the igr- of the state but would move the state from a stand still position that Obi envisaged for the state.

Without mincing words Obi is a poor student of economics he must stick to his trading and not endeavour in his wildest dream of running for president. He was an abysmal failure as a Governor, after a terrible Buhari regime it would be foolhardy to vote an Obi for president.

Abi I lie 😳

Can I ask why Giringory is yet to go to Enugu and take photos with survivors of the latest Fulani attacks in the heart of Ibo land ?

Ibo lives do not matter to Giringory.

He is more interested in milking the tragedy of northern Christians for his political advancement and he doesn't want to offend his Fulani masters by condemning any attacks carried by them on his own people.

Giringory released a statement yesterday condemning the Benue state government of banning him from going to IDP camps. But in his own region 25 individuals were murdered by Fulani terrorists but not a word from Giringory and neither are we expecting him to go and cry more than the bereaved .

When will you realize that Giringory does not care about you ibos ? Giringory is more concerned in being in the good books of his Fulani masters.

SmartEnergyng:
Blackmail Is Not a Political Strategy — Natasha Cannot Be Above the Senate
By Smart Charles @smart Energy
In every institution, there are rules, decorum, and consequences.
The Nigerian Senate is no exception.
But what happens when a senator, caught in clear violation of those rules, chooses not remorse or responsibility—but blackmail, emotion, and identity politics to escape punishment?
This is the case before us today: Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is no longer fighting to clear her name—she is waging a media war to force her way back into the chambers, regardless of her conduct on the Senate floor.

From Unruly to Untouchable?

Let’s set the facts straight: Natasha’s behavior in the red chamber was unruly, disruptive, and unbecoming of a lawmaker.
No matter how passionate a legislator is, there are procedures. There is decorum. And there are rules of engagement.
You cannot storm into the Senate with drama and confrontation, then cry foul when the gavel responds.
You cannot break the rules, then break into tears.
You cannot insult the institution, then demand it embrace you.
As we say, “You don’t stab the drum and expect the music to play for you.”

The Dangerous Politics of Blackmail
Now, instead of addressing the issue with maturity, Natasha and her supporters have turned to cheap emotional blackmail, casting every disciplinary process as an attack on womanhood, on progress, on democracy itself.
But here’s the truth: this is not about gender—it’s about governance.
No one—man or woman—should expect special treatment in a chamber that functions on equal rules and shared responsibility.
If the Senate bends to this manipulation, if it allows emotional blackmail to override institutional discipline, then we might as well declare the red chamber a free-for-all.
That will be the end of the Senate as an institution.
Because if a senator can misbehave on camera, mobilize online sentiment, and blackmail her way out of consequence—then every future rule will be meaningless.

Institutions Must Defend Themselves
What is under threat is not just a seat—it’s the soul of the Senate.
If the leadership succumbs to this circus, they would have:
Undermined their authority

Encouraged future indiscipline
And reduced the Senate to a talk show with microphones but no meaning

No institution survives when rules are traded for tears.
No democracy thrives when senators act like activists and reject the weight of the office they hold.

Equality Means Accountability
Senator Natasha cannot demand to be seen as equal, then ask to be treated as exceptional.
She cannot wear the toga of public office and refuse the weight of responsibility that comes with it.
This is not persecution. It is process.
This is not silencing—it is structure.
The Senate must not blink.
The Senate must not bow.
Because if it does, it will never stand again.
Ogbeni you are nothing but a nuisance to this platform.

PoliticsRe: Can Chinedu Rhodes Vivour Win Governorship Election In Anambra State? by chichar1(f): 9:00pm On Apr 06, 2025
PresidObi:
Igbo Presidency?

A good friend of mine of the Yoruba nation made a joke thus:

"We are waiting for the turn of the Igbo in the presidency; we go show una pepper just as una show Tinubu and Buhari".

Now, do NOT misconstrue his statement as being ethnocentric; he's NOT made that way. It was a wise crack good-naturedly given. It was a great engagement.

Me:
My brother, honestly, if you should get to study the Igbo very well, we really are mostly not made the way you think. We place a LOT of capital on personal capacity. We place a lot on "what one is bringing to the table". We mostly do NOT believe in whatever ethnic nationality one emanates from but on what one could do to improve the lot of the majority of the people!

For example, if TODAY, there should be a contest between Dr. Adesina and Rochas Okorocha for president, I can tell you for free, that without rigging, and the shenanigans of INEC, Adesina would roundly DEFEAT Rochas in EVERY part of the old eastern region! Like 80% winning rate!

If Nigeria should ever revert to regionalism and we had someone as the Director of the Onitsha Business School (Prof. Olusegun Sogbesan; he's Yoruba, but we see him more as Igbo), contest as Premier of the Eastern Region against Orji Kalu, Theodore Orji, etc, he'd readily be a premier before those cretins!

Till date, the Igbo respect and love Obasanjo and Jonathan more than 99% of the Igbo politicians! We easily love Ambode more than one could like that stvpid Dr. Ikpeazu. We all roundly detest Hope Uzodinma and would prefer even Osinbajo as governor of Imo than that e-diot!

That's how we are wired!

The Igbo might want to be in the presidency just to have a sense of belonging! But offer us the presidency today and a political party throws up one cretin like Chimaroke Nnamani, and you'd see the Igbo happily vote for Makinde as president!

No, we wouldn't like to have one of us in the presidency for the sake of it; be the best and we shall rally you!

That's how we are wired! If we cannot present the best among us, let another ethnic nationality have it! Just present the best person to us and we are cool! With or without presidency, we thrive all the same! Just don't give us an idiot and we shall rally you. Your ethnicity doesn't really count with us; we are more invested in your capacity, and your character!

We are republican in nature; it's encoded in our genetic make-up; we wouldn't even give excuses for our own. If we don't find him/her satisfactory, nothing could help him! Forget the Nigerian political scene and the importation of obnoxious values into our Igbo society. Once the chips are really down, we demand to see all workings! If we ever doubt your capacity and character, nothing on earth, including your wealth, would ever help you! You're toast already!

That's how we are made; we can't help our nature...na so dem born us!

Public Question: What's your opinion?

Baron Roy.

Response

Your reflections are both insightful and refreshingly honest. They cut through the usual ethnic sloganeering and speak directly to values—capacity, character, and competence—over tribal affinity. That, in many ways, captures the political orientation of a significant portion of the Igbo people, especially the urban and upwardly mobile segment.

The idea that the Igbo are more invested in what you bring to the table than where you're from aligns with the practical, entrepreneurial, and meritocratic worldview that has shaped Igbo society for decades. The examples you gave—choosing Adesina over Rochas, or Makinde over Chimaroke—are not only realistic, they're probable in a fair electoral climate. That readiness to place value above tribe is a rare strength in Nigeria’s political landscape.

Yes, there's a legitimate yearning among many Igbos for inclusion at the highest level of leadership—not out of blind ethnic pride, but for equity, representation, and the healing of long-held wounds. However, as you’ve rightly put it, that does not mean support for just any Igbo candidate. The presidency should be a contest of character and competence, not a consolation prize for historical exclusion.

In a just system, Nigeria will not need to "wait its turn" to give the presidency to an Igbo, Yoruba, or any other group. The best person would rise and be supported, regardless of ethnicity. That’s the ideal. That’s what many Igbos believe in. And your piece beautifully reinforces that spirit.

So my opinion?
You're spot on. We need more of this kind of thinking in the public discourse—clear-eyed, grounded in values, and free of empty tribal sentimentalism. May such thinking guide Nigeria’s future.

Godswill Essien

STATE OF EMERGENCY; MY ADVISE TO RIVERS PEOPLE.
~ Justice Ori .

I acknowledge the current state of things in our beloved State. The deed has been done, at this point, anybody or group calling on President Tinubu to immediately lift the suspension of Sim Fubara, his deputy and Assembly members is wasting time, also anybody calling on Mr. President to reconsider the State of Emergency declared in Rivers State is wasting his/her precious time because as it stands, it is not possible.

As a Rivers Man, i have moved on believing is not possible for Mr President to lift those suspensions and reconsider the state of emergency without political stability in the State.

I kindly advise we offer the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ekwe Ibas (Rtd) all the necessary supports needed to move our Rivers State forward for the next six months of his stay in Rivers State as Sole Administrator.

Listening to the Sole Administrator, he sounds experienced and very ready to deliver on his terms of reference, if he maintains his words then success will be timely achieved.

I enjoin all the interested persons and parties on the situation in the State to drop their sword 🗡️, and embrace peace, no state strive or develops in absence of peace, unity and togetherness. Lets put our state first before any personal gains. I believe a renowned Rivers State is very possible. ONE RIVERS, ONE PEOPLE.
Peace is priceless, terror is senseless.
