The guy got anger issues, maybe that's why he hasn't settled down.
And for the neighbor,I won't say he got what he deserved, but sometimes it is wise to mind your own business.
I remembered one short story we were told when we were young about tortoise 🐢 and his grandson.
His grandson asked him:grandpa you are the only one that have lived longest in our town, can you tell me the secret, and the tortoise reply was:I always mind my own business,I don't poke nose into matters that doesn't concern me.
You're right about the anger issue; let's always learn about how to mind our business - when - it comes to issues of someone's privacy!

SportsRe: I’d Love To Return To School, Get A Degree — Osimhen by chidi2003(m): 9:26am On Jul 14
nairalanda1:
The problem was that when we got independence, we needed to replace all the white expats who held vital positons in the civil service, including in medicne and education, and we needed professionals...and since there were not many to begin with, jobs in those days were hotcakes. Even during my father's time as a student in the 70's...they had job fairs in the university ,where companies came to recurit students about to graduate (something you still see in saner climes, even in China).

As a result, a graduate graduating before 1980 could be guaranteed a good job and enough money to buy a car and even get a good enough house. Heck even secondary school leavers could get a good job with ease, and be driving cars long before their mates who went to uni graduated.

The problem was , in the 1980's onwards, because our economy was oil dependent, not industry and manufacturing dependent, the number of graduates outstripped the number of jobs available. And with the population rising beyond the ability of government revenue to sustain it, salaries started contracting. OIl price collapse in 1982, led to worsening inflation, and the ending of subsides, and worsening of services like power and light.

So, all of a sudden a graduate was no longer guarranteed a car and a house unilke before. Meanwhile, because of our import oriented economy, the people who left school to go into trading, those who were close to government and able to chop, and later scammers were the ones earning more and more money and buying the new cars and building the new houses, while university lecturers as early as 1988 were doing taxi business as side hustle (kabu -kabu).

So, in the minds of many generations since, school na SCAM.
You said it all, Brethren!
PoliticsRe: Plateau Assembly Moves To Provide Lifetime Pensions For Ex-lawmakers by chidi2003(m): 8:26am On Jul 13
creolehunt:
The kind of democracy we have in Nigeria is just nauseatingly barbaric, void of any semblance of rationality.

Politics is unarguably the most lucrative industry in Nigeria. This is when you consider that majority of the population live below the poverty line and don't know where there next meal will come from or if they will even be alive to have the meal.

For context, Plateau is alongside Benue the most hit by the Islamic jihadists with hundreds of thousands displaced, yet the state House thought the best place to channel resources is towards the dame politicians who have milked the state dry.

It's a shame becasue one would expect everyone to come together to condemn this, but we have meagerly paid agents who are on standby to cheer.

The dubious structural system rewards thieves - who call themselves Leaders - than the masses! Make no mistake: we don't practice democracy right here; gangsterism is the order of the day!

Isaac Fayose is right to call for the head of Gbaja because the evidence of crime and collision is too clear for the petty denial of the presidency.

Ayo Fayose won't openly call for the removal of Gbaja because he is with them and sees nothing wrong in the ills under Tinubu.

Foreign AffairsRe: South African Activist Phakel Says Each SA Citizen Can Earn 1M Without Working by chidi2003(m): 1:50pm On Jul 01
nairalanda1:
If South Africa does what this guy is suggesting, it would be broke in five years, and the debt would be out of control.

Infact, no African country should try to do that. The only countries that can do that are those with a good tax to gdp and also a industrial exporting economy...and even then not all of them do that.

UAE is a developing country using oil money to hide its poverty. If oil becomes useless, it would be broke in months. Bad example. UAE does not make anything, produce anything, invent anything or even assemble anything, because they have 'da oil'

Same for Saudi and other oyel nations.

All African countries have lots of natural resources. South Africa has diamonds...that can be used to manufacture drill bits for the oil and other mineral exploration businesses. Time it started looking that way. Same for most other African countries...DR Congo has all the minerals needed to make a good decent phone...so why isn't it making Android type phones..? Because we think that we should share money, not make things.
Saudi Arabia and Israel can never go broke - whether oil is involved or not. Lets cancel the so called holy pilgrimage - and see their economies collapse in less than six months; do you know that these two countries make billions of dollars yearly from gullible people all over the world - in the name of God?
That scam - is a way of steady cash out. They suffered during Covid 19. Lockdown, because there was no international movement.
PoliticsRe: Fg’s Borrowing Jumps 75.6%—what It Means For The Naira And Interest Rates by chidi2003(m): 4:18pm On Jun 30
Image123:
After the needed subsidy removal reset, $67 Billion added to Our GDP. States that once begged for salaries are now building roads, bridges, hospitals, schools. From Ogun to Enugu, Kaduna to Ebonyi, governors admit the truth: Tinubu restructured the finances. The money is flowing.
Today, foreign reserves have stabilized and hit the highest in almost 20 years. The stock market has exploded. Investment has returned. Oil majors are back with billions. Domestic refining is rising. The Naira for crude deal eases pressure. Tax reforms shatter colonial chains.
Money inflows increased to states, right?
Subsidy was removed; why is Tinubu still borrowing the more?
