Nigeria are hungry and devastated, take home income is barely enough

This is not a time to prioritize elephant project that won't materialize in the next 4yrz Tinubu has left

Do things that will bring down inflation and relief to Nigerians, by now the priority should be to creat an economic that resuscitates micro
Politics › Re: "FBI Files: 2027 Will Be Decided By Promises, Not Documents." Tinubu Lawyer by chidiokay: 11:13am On Sep 01
Racoon:
Which promises?
-1). Promise of fuel subsidy that has ended up as one of the biggest scam of the corrupt Tinubu-led APC govt?

-2). Promise of fighting corruption that have ironically been the basis and long legalized as official policy of the govt. All corrupt cases are buried.

-3). Promise of providing 24 hours electricity that ended a flop & more economic woes for the citizens & folding up of many SMEs with many struggling to get alternate source of energy? Not forgotten that Aso Rock itself disconnected from the epileptic national grid for solar panels?

-4). Promises revamping the 3 majors refineries in Nigeria today that ended up with billions of $ TAM with no functional refinery till date. What about the modular refineries?

So now, where is our moral compass as a nation, especially for the younger generation coming up? That they can cut corners on the way top provided they have deep pockets?
You have listed it All out ....Honestly it is left to Nigerians, people like yarimo, richtaiwo, Lithiumite, hrlinues dont bother me, defending gov is there main source of income

But to the rigt thinking Nigeria that reason beyond apc ankara and stomach infrastructure ...If you vote Tinubu To come back nd complete what huh

coastal road is 700km in 4yrs we never do pass 50km

spkoto high way is even 1000km we never do coastal reach 200km in 4yrs sey na Tinubu 2nd term e go finish dis elephant project

it is sensible to suffer 8yrs for coastal road that can not nearly 50% completion in the next tinubu term .m.for you reading why must Tinubu come back

High Revenue, High GDP, More money to Governor...how as that transitted to development in your axis.
if not for Tinubu draconian policy that unleashed hyper Inflation .. will you need nelfund to send your child to school , whereas the ones that have graduated you no use Nelfund that time But now Tinubu as made Nelfund your hope

APC can threaten, Wike can come out tomorrow n threaten they will shoot anybody that vote against Tinubu in 2027 it is a trend But Nigerians Do you still wana continue in Naa 'statistic We must chop "
Politics › Re: Atiku’s ₦600 Petrol Proposal Not A Return To Subsidy – ADC Tells Presidency by chidiokay: 9:28am On Sep 01
[quote author=emkz post=140507212]Atiku's subsidy plan has suffered contradictions, contraptiond, contractions and a still-birth.

If market forces dictate international crude oil price and Atiku decides to discount it to local refineries, there is a discount cost, which the country must bear.
i can see you are talking from place of illiteracy, If not before you discredit crude Subsidy is it new, those countries like russia, saudi, iran do they have two heads

To sycophants like you its okay How we waste billions to renovate conference centre, waste $1bn as unconditoonal cash as paliative to subsidy removal But in total mischief you find it gross For Govt to bear subsidy cost

subsidizing crude. for locals may bring Revenue shortage But We can manage that effectively just by Optimisation to 2.m bdp @least ... their is solution APC shpuld stop forcing the narrative challenges dont have solution therefore you must embrace it

Currently, crude oil costs $0.55 to $0.55 per litre (775 naira per litre). It takes 2.3 litres of crude to produce 1 litre of petrol. If Nigeria consumes 50 million litres daily, that amounts to 18 billion litres of petrol consumption annually which requires 42 billion litres of crude oil to produce.
By Atiku model, Dangote refinery with 650m bdp can meet over 80% of our local needs plus If BUA with 200bdp capacity come on board in 2027 we can kiss importation good bye ... can local refinery meet our need, is it visible ..ofcus YES
the ripple effect on the economic is tremedous, as cost of living will evidently resonate flourish

If Atiku sells 1 litre of crude at 600 naira instead of 775 naira per litre, there is a difference of 175 naira. This means Atiku would be spending about 7.34 trillion naira by offering a discount on crude.
Bro what you dont know ask, Atiku or Govt dont have to spend any money in the subsidy crude model. ... it is just like a discount from coke company to there distributor, 1000 crates that cost #2m, oya pay #1.6m thats the simple analogy

Atiku needs to explain exactly how much he intends to sell crude to local refineries and how the nation can afford his plan.
You can wait for Atiku or just go google nd research how Russia, iran, saudi run these model ...

We can afford to waste trillions on govt expenditures nd lifestyle Buh whenever it comes to do things for the people they keep we cant afford it

Over 100billion was spent in Osun election, over 38billlion. to renovate ICC and we are about to spend 873bn on an election that will not be free & fair .... $1bn for conditional cash transfer e.t.c

You spend All these kind of money and You believe wr cant afford subsidy as a nation ...smh undecided

Actually, everyone had his or her share of Prof’s bollocking. Most of us are almost consultants in our various chosen specialties.

But, bro, think it through. Local refineries get discounted crude oil for the purpose of supplying cheap refined products to Nigerians, and smugglers ship 70% of those cheap products to neighboring countries.
No be the same thing? Na the same thing
.
1st i think it important you are fully aware this Model is not new nd the fact that Saudi, russia, iran, athentina even have a special local name for subsidize crude ...it worked nd still working

if for a minute you can catch up with our present Time, the worries of diversion to neighbouring is only valid under the era we had no standard refinery at All
If you understand Dangote refinery is systematic, i.e it is trackable and iopen to detection ...

subsidy scam can only happen if govt is paying Buh with what Atiku is proposing We just offer subsidized crude direct to dangote ...Govt is not bringing out money no scam we know dangote capacity

The game changer is dangote delivers fuel direct to station and those coming to buy from him can be esdily tracked unlike the opaqueness in govt deals

To buy from Dangote nd divert to neighbour country go hard because dangote offers free delivery with his truck, Times have change catch up

DoWhatThouWilt:
You can give a woman respect, you can protect her and wisely care for her but NEVER show or tell her you love her.

Showing a woman love will make her disrespect you. She will NEVER submit herself to you.

I know it sounds odd to you readers but that is the TRUTH about women.

That girl you are having a crush on, is head over hills for a guy that doesn't show her love.

The men in bible times knew this, so they developed a hard-heart and encouraged divorce. They did not tolerate nonsense from women.

When jesus told his disciples that Moses permitted divorce, but God is against it, the disciples said, "if that is the case, then it is better not to marry"

The disciples could not imagine a world without divorce. To them, if divorce is bad then it is better to remain single.

Apostle Paul had to beg the men in those times to love their wives.

The reason the men were hard-hearted is not because they were wicked, it is because they knew that the moment you show love to a woman, your value and respect in her eyes will drop faster than the speed of light.
i domt think your message is ODD, your problem is you took a topic above your IQ i.e this is beyond you.

The fact that the creator said explicitly Men lovethy wife ....invalidates any other quotes you reference in the bible. these is not Moses said, disciple said ...God said it himself that supersedes any logic

Now speaking from experience, showing a wife love or not when their is disagreement she will disrespect you in some ways, a reginal will call Ned by name in moment of quarrel, married men in the house can relate

Lets say you dont show your wife love sef, it not a guarantee ...if you dont fulfill your responsibilities as a nan forget she go disrespect you

There is no sure formular anywhere, i will say Respect yoyrself and people will respect you, back it with doings she go adore you

How in the world is subsidy crude to dangote refinery ...going to be divert to cameroun or angola or cotonou

These apc rats are so dumb they still dont know we have moved to an era of Dangote refinery on board not the former system we subsidizy an opaque nd no tracking import/marketers regime anything goes

What kemi adeosun is saying is only logical to the former subsidy regime on " Import"

what Atiku is proposing is prioritize n subsidy crude to local refinery ... this link is trackable n verifiable

Who will divert crude sold to dangote nd it will not burst into open, the records of crude given to dangote and Dangote sells to accredited fillings station ...so the link are traceable and can be monitored

what Atiku is proposing, Russia, argentina, iran and saudi arabia are doing it for ages now .. because of border you prefer to watch Nigerians die suffering of high cost, we cant fix border abi

Hi
DeEconomist1:
This fuel subsidy debate seems to be the major determinant of who is the people's choice among the Presidential Candidates in the forthcoming election. So far, Atiku seems to be winning in this regard but whether he will implement it if elected or it's a mere campaign rhetorics is a debate for another day.
The two key issues about this subsidy brouhaha:
1. Bring back the subsidy regime and fight the endemic corruption that bedeviled it to ensure transparency.
OR
2. Let the subsidy removal stand and let the proceeds trickle down to the masses by investing heavily in social overhead capital to improve the people's standard of living instead of this current method of channeling the proceeds to Politicians.
I think Atiku have opened another perspective ... Which " subsidy locals driven" i.e he want to subsidy crude direct to dangote Refinery which negate need for funds to subsidy or discard the opaqueness that surround fuel importation .. they are on their own

Is it New ..No ! Countries like saudi arabia, Russia, argentina, iran have peioritize subsidy to local refineries ...therefore the model is feasible

What makes it more feasible to meet our local needs the chances of BUA refinery about 200m bdp capacity add that Dangote capacity we are over daily demand

The model is feasible nd pro people as well, what govt just have to is scale up crude production optimally to make it feasible to meet local refinery demands ...we have crude 4 debt shortfalls .so govt must optimize for the model to work
