The Lock and Keys Scenario

I find this topic fascinating. One would ask how it concerns sales. It's an analogy to describe an analogy about how to sell to your market. I got it from a book I am reading.

The lock and key scenario explains that a man does not just go and make a key and then run around to look for a lock that the key would open.

It is better than to find a lock and then fashion a key that fits it.

This explains how many people go into the market. They create a product and then start going about looking for customers.

The best approach I've learnt is to create products and services for a starving market.

It works better that way and would save you a whole lot of stress.

It puts you in the helluva Badass Mood.

Yea.
You get to stop hustling
You get to stop spamming
You get to stop begging for purchase
You get to stop making unnecessary discounts.

It's time to do it better.
Yo stop looking for shortcuts, and start using the path that works

The Giver Mentally

Marketing has changed, it has always been evolving, making new trends and creating new paths.

The thing with people who sell is that they keep repeating and recycling old patterns and tricks. They keep playing small, and instead of making advance in their strides, they'll prefer competition.

Marketing is the generous act of helping someone solve a problem.
Their problems.

So, yes. Advertising, running ads, putting the word out, getting the attention of the right audience is important.

But not important enough…

The right way to do marketing is to serve, to help people, to build relationships, this may involve a little bit of shouting, and coercion, and persuading to achieve this aim.

It involves understanding your customers' worldview, connecting, building, and bringing in so much value that you'll be missed if you eventually go away.

The wrong way to do marketing may just be the way you've been doing it. Hustling for the short term profit. Coercing to just get the money at that time. This should not be so.

But you can do better. We can.
