PoliticsGovernor Of Plateau State Named His Son As Special Adviser by chiefimam(op): 12:01pm On Aug 11, 2011
Jos – Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State yesterday made history as he named his son, Yakubu, one of the 21 special advisers he appointed.

A statement by Secretary to the State Government, Prof Shedrach Best named the governor’s son as Special Adviser on Special Duties.

Also appointed was former Bureau Chief of the Nation newspaper, Mr. Ayuba Pam as Special Adviser, Media and Publicity while former occupier of the position, Alhajii Dauda Lamba is now in charge of Legal Matters.

Others were former Chief of Staff to former Governor Joshua Dariye, Mr. Alexander Molwus (Political Affairs), former Commissioner for Finance, Mrs Clara Gyang (Statistics) and Mr. Timothy Parlong (Peace Building).

Although the appointment of the governor’s son came to many as a surprise, some of those who commented said it was a mere formality of a role he had been playing in the last four years.

Nairaland GeneralWhat Should Labour Do To Help The Bankers Being Sacked by chiefimam(op): 2:40pm On Dec 28, 2009
Labour rather than being confrontational, should negotiate for the bankers that are being sacked.

One of the things they could do is to ask the banks through CBN to write-off the loans of all the staff being retrenched and then pay them severance allowances. Some of the banks have made attempt to pay them though, but the staff loans gulped all the entitlement leaving most of them as debtors to their former employer. What do you guys think - Chiefimam
