Pls should an optometrist be asked to do same? I have an Optometry degree from Nigeria and with 5 years working experience. I have 8.0 on my ielts academic and 7.5 on general training. Hi,
accepting is different to approval.
Every embassy are free to collect any document but approval is the koko.
German is the only country in Europe that has their Blocked Account enshrined in their constitution as a means of proof of fund for Student, Work permit except Tourism/visit.
Thanks

nnanyelugo1:
Please do your research well.
German Embassy is a accepting 6 months bank statement if you don't have blocked account. Secondly if your degree and university are fully recognised in Anabin(H+) you don't need IELTS and ZAB.

It's better you get clarification from German Embassy to avoid misleading information.

My university was on Anabin (H+) but my degree wasn’t that’s why I went for ZAB.
Please how do I verify this acceptance of Nigerian bank account because it is very important and I want to know for sure.
Finally, if I get my ZAB evaluation successfully, do I still need IELTS?

Hi, they do not accept Nigeria Statement. you have to open Blocked Account and once you have your statement of comparability, you do not need any other language proficiency.

I think it is better to write the IELTS exam rather than the Germany Proficiency Exam, then keep on learning German on the side to enable your easy integration into the job market over there. I also think that one should go for official recognition of a degree whether regulated or non-regulated profession. Having your certificate recognized automatically qualifies you for the Opportunity Card Provided you can show your blocked account and also your language proficiency. However, the downside is the amount involved ( I applied for a certificate evaluation by ZAB for 208 euros). The blocked account issue might just come down to taking loans as a last resort lol.

Hi, for those who need German Blocked account. I can help in that. I can help in all the processes either for the Direct route or the Point based route

Travel / Nvq Programs (uk Ofqual Regulated) by Chigboz(m): 8:37pm On Oct 31, 2024
Hello Nairalanders

I created this topic to educate the general public about NVQ programs so that many Nigerians will not fall victims.
Currently, it is trending that for one to secure jobs with sponsorship in countries like UK, EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, USA etc One need a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and it is always graded with Levels. NVQ is a regulated program with Regulated qualification framework (RQF)/ European Qualification Framework (EQF)

All UK /British NVQ are acceptable all over the work. British is a member of Lisbon convention (Which borders on certificate recognition) see https://www.enic-naric.net/page-lisbon-recognition-convention, https://www.enic-naric.net/page-recognition-conventions

NVQ qualifications are a par with Degrees see UK govt website for details https://www.gov.uk/what-different-qualification-levels-mean/list-of-qualification-levels
lets start with Level 3
Level 3 is Equivalent to Alevel
Level 4 is Equivalent to OND
Level 5 is Equivalent to HND
Level 6 is Equivalent to Bachelor
Level 7 is Equivalent to Masters.
Level 8 is Equivalent to Doctorate.

NVQ, school and college qualifications is regulated in the UK by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) see link for better understanding https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/ofqual

NOTE: Not all certificates designated as level 2, 3, to 8 are Ofqual regulated. Many Nigerians have fallen prey to the gimmicks of fraudulent individuals who have decided to name none regulated programs as one. no wonder in various media you see some noice where people are offering Phelabotomy level 3 etc. this is laughable since they are not regulated. Also many have lost very big amount of money with some course designated as Health and social care level 3 but they are not regulated.
Before you do any program, make sure they are Ofqual Regulated. Do not be moved by the levels attached to any. if in doubt, any Qualification that is not listed here is not NVQ and is not regulated as well. https://find-a-qualification.services.ofqual.gov.uk/find-regulated-qualifications

Now that i have explained what NVQ Qualifications is all about. lets go to user case.
To secure a regulated jobs oversea like UK etc, you need a regulated qualifications and that is where NVQ comes in.
We are going to use UK as a case student
FOR JOBS
The UK minimum requirements for job sponsorship is NVQ/RQF Level 3 especially in public institutions such as NHS see for your ref: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-points-based-immigration-system-employer-information/the-uks-points-based-immigration-system-an-introduction-for-employers

Also for Education pathways: The way most Nigerians loose their admission in UK is alarming due to inability to pay their tuition.
I think the Blog will be an Antipode to that, one is advice instead of coming here to do 3 to 4 years program. Why not do up to level 5 in Nigeria and just come here for 1 and Graduate or better still do level 6 and come here as a top-up student with faster graduation, less tuition fee and less course work. or even do Level 7 in Nigeria and come here as a Masters degree top-up.
It is very difficult for an Average Nigerian to come here for 3 or 4 years course to graduate because of heavy financial requirement except you have a good sponsor.

Note that NVQ can be evaluated by World Education Services (WES) for those who want to use it for both Educational and Career purposes in Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand etc.

Finally, i have a raised a discuss. lets engage and i can also go deeper into Job pathway after completing the NVQ programs. It is more advicable to do the program with approved centres in Nigeria even if you are in UK and you want a sponsorship. It does not matter where you do it provided it is an approved centre.
Reasons why you should do it in Nigeria.
1. to create awareness among Nigerians
2. Cheaper to compare other providers
3. Option to pay in Nigeria
4. Program support
If you are interested, contact here and i can recommend centres that can be of help to you

Hi,

Go for Health and Social Care NVQ UK Ofqual Regulated.
The Certificate you displayed is just a CPD cert. though no knowledge is a waste but go for what will give you result if you want to get sponsorship to work in UK here. you can check this people out Life Evergreen Institute of Career Development.
They run OTHM and Qualifi Qualifications.
You can do Health and Social Care Level 3.

Goodafternoon House.

Please advise us if we are not doing it right. My wife transitioned to Nursing and presently work as an auxiliary nurse, had few three online certifications, IELTS and have also applied on Trac, indeed etc. multiple times but we haven't seen any positive results yet. Please, is it that the COS app is done differently or when asked if she has a permit to work in the UK, we often respond "NO," which seems to lead to the end of some of the application process while others get submitted and ends same way.

Thank you.

In Trac or NHS, they can only sponsor someone in Band 3 and above.
Before applying, make sure that you have the requirements.

For Care worker, start by doing NVQ Health and Social Care atleast level 3. Most be Ofqual Regulated. Then after that start your job hunt direct with NHS, Trac, etc
Make sure your personal statement is ATS compliant to be able to be shortlisted for Interview. Many applicant to not get to this stage as a result of this.
Thanks

Any free NVQ courses?

HI,
Good day,
Yes you can get Free UK government sponsored NVQ if you fail into these categories.
1. If you can prove the you are receiving less that 22,000GBP PA
2. If you can prove that you have no work.
3. If your current employer such as NHS can sponsor you.
Remwmber, you can do all these if you can prove your right to work and live in the UK but for someone from outside the UK not possible.
We are not talking of all those free Health and social care on udemy and the like that are not NVQ.
Those who wants to travel to Canada can as well use NVQ since it can be accessed by WES provided it is Ofqual regulated NVQ.

The only place people fail in this job hunt. Your CV and personal statement must be ATS compliant. No ATS is same because of the Key words used to advertise the job.

Hi, this is the problem of our people.
There is different between buying a job/COS and getting a job.
When you buy COS from Care agencies. You will not have shifts when you arrive here but when you get a job, when you arrive here. The job will be there for you because the company that employed you, did that as a result of need not by inducement to sell COS.
In the UK health and Care standard, Nurses are not meant to work as Carer.
Nurses can only be employed as a nurse on Band 5 as the entry point while Healthcare Assistant starts with Band 2 and 3.
NVQ Health and Social Care framework is structured in such a way that the enabling framework is covered.
For you to switch from Care agencies to NHS, Health and Social Care is a must.
Also, if one in Nigeria or outside the country wants to get this COS without buying it. I strongly advise NVQ.
Finally on the issue of Nurses not getting employed, I will come to that in a new post.
I write as one who is in the system and not outside the system.
NVQ qualifications in any field in the UK is better placed in terms of Jobs than most University certificates we parade from Nigeria.
All skilled jobs ranging from tilers, plumbers, electrical etc are all NVQ inclined. Believe it or not. That is the framework.
It is structured in EQF/RQF.

COS. secondly, if you want her via Health and care route. Let her also take phlebotomy certification or Clinical/medical Assistant as an addon.
For sure, she will. Also do not neglect to get a good professional profiling to be added to her CV. She can go for the NVQ in Nigeria
Thanks

All this you people are just typing I don't understand. NvQ this and that. Certification is good especially people already in the UK that wants carrier progression not people in Nigeria. Nurses find it very difficult to get jobs from Nigeria (I mean nurses who have passed both. CBT and IELTS exams) talk more of ordinary career. It's becoming very difficult for people inside the UK with post graduate visa to get Cos not to mention people in Nigeria. The best route one can easily migrate now is through school because most sold Cos the company doesn't have jobs for you.

Hello,
you need to do you due diligence. Qualifi is actually an Ofqual awarding Body but you need to verify Inspire London college is they are approved centre by qualifi.
Most Approved Qualifi courses in the UK are too expensive. I will advice you do it with Centres outside the UK or better do it with Nigerian approved centres since they are very cheap to company other centres.
Thanks

Awarded by Qualifi Ltd
Regulated by Ofqual
Also must I do level 2 diploma in health and social before I enroll in level 3 ??
Note: I already have diploma in caregiving Alison
And the 15 care standards cert from Florence.
