If with the multiple mineral and energy resources we have in this country, we still rely on fasting and prayers for her development, then we are a very unserious nation.

We always put the cart before the horse in this country. God can only multiple what you have planted, not emptiness. Plus you can't build something on nothing. The political and religious classes (both of whom are feeding fat on the masses) are asking the masses who fund their lifestyles to fast and pray for them and the country. A prayer my parents and those before them inculcated into our family prayers decades ago, instead the decay deepens.

The only prayers we need is to open up more factories instead of more religious centres, do night shifts instead of vigils, be in our shops on Mondays instead of going for fellowships, industrialise the nation, diversify the economy, and be bold and sincere in fighting corruption. Otherwise, it is just a vicious and deceitful circle that will never end.

Have we noticed that the most religious countries in the world are the most corrupt and poverty stricken? Because that is the wool the ruling class uses to cover the masses' eyes to keep them in check and remain poor. No successful country depended on prayers only for development, it took them decades of hard work and strategic plannings.
