Actually, l based my estimate on the 20 broilers l bought @ 6 weeks old and kept for 15wks. The total cost was 45k and sold each for 7k during the exams. They were massive,
I am currently growing 100 broilers and with learning from my first experience, l am sure l will save cost.

last year December I sell all my male broilers for 4500 and body that price less then that is not ready to buy I was on top of my game.
and again I only breed male broiler for December because they grow faster and bigger so I sell the female ones when they are small to other farmers.

The birds looks healthy and lively, eating as due.
I give them animal care feeds. The other feeds option available if i have to change is topfeeds and livestock.

How many birds and whats the quantity of feed you are giving them?

Its just about 15wks from now, so for December broiler where u consider weight, size and comb, which influences market price I don't think 15 - 16wks is to much.
If u broad broiler for 7wks for Christmas your market at Christmas will not favour you because at Christmas its always good to be at the top of your game than begging in your game.
For you that wants to start breeding by End of sept it means that by Christmas sales your birds will be 11wks its very ok.
you will meet up for ur sales but my advice is dat by 6wks of breeding switch to Finisher and feed intensively u will meet up with your target.

I hope you will be able to sell them at 4500 to 5000 naira during xmas..... Am starting by 25th sept i plan to sell 3k to 3.5k during xmas

All these organic rubbish..... The main thing is dry litter management and give up to date vaccine and vitamins and also preventive anticocci and antiboitics

50k will not be enough to feed them from now to December because of the present high cost of living in Nigeria try make it 65 to 70k because of medication nd vaccine.

50k cannot do for 50birds kindly budget around 1300 per bird dats 65k

thanx a lot . BT the 2100 birds where separated into rm A and rm B. Each having 1050. Rm A got to 23 crates now 19/20 rm B got to 31 now 23. Both were fed hybrid 5bags each. Due to the drop in production and drop in the price of egg I had to reduce their feeds to 4 each ..increasing it to 10.5 now will take me below breakeven. Am realy worried right now ..pls guide me more .

Bros you have to increase it to 10.5bags and give ocs boost for 7days ......you will get a total of not less than 56crates of eggs after 3weeks....... Some of them are not laying because the food is not enough so the are staying alive for you........ Oya answer? By what time do the finish the food you give them daily

My advice
Just sell of the birds..... Because you are already running loss... Estima 300 is a very good brioler growth boost

This is something i dont seems to understand...... Fellow farmers pls why do we need to give Day old birds antibiotics during their 1st 5days?

Preprobiotics:
With Lactobacillus you can have your farm; Poultry, Fish Pond etc right in the middle of the city centre because you are sure that foul odour is eliminated.

the truth is that those antibiotics usually suppress the growth of broilers n birds in general and in any way they are used as either preventive or curative measures. this means they have both advantages and disadvantages but in my view the disadvantages outweighs the advantages. this is the main reason why approach like the organic method of raising birds came up aside other advantages not excluding the health benefit of the raised broilers to human consumption.
