EducationNursing Options For International Students by Childofthesoil(op): 5:26pm On Sep 10, 2019
Good day, Nairalanders.

Please, I want to make enquiries.
I have a first degree from Nigeria - Anatomy.
Now, I want to get a nursing degree from a US university.

I'm looking at the accelerated nursing programs. However, the schools I've written all talked about prerequisites.
Does this mean that I'll have to go to a community college for the prerequisites I don't have?
Or are there schools that offer prerequisites as part of the accelerated nursing programs for international students?

I thought about going for an Associate Degree in Nursing but finding a job with this is very difficult for a non resident, which will be a problem for someone on an F1 visa.

Also, what's a good evaluation service to evaluate my transcript with?
I would have just gone for WES but their process is too long and tedious.
Who knows about Educational Credential Evaluators?
Are they any good?

Please, anyone with similar experience or anyone who knows better, should help me with information.
I really need the right information especially from people who know better.
If there are schools that are known to accept cases like mine, I'd like to hear about them too.

Bottom line, how do I proceed?

I came here because I know that I can get the right resources from people on here.
Please, help.
Thank you.
