If you were asked how you researched about the university, they expect you to talk of about QS ranking, HESA ranking, university world ranking if possible, daily mail university guide ranking; their facilities, student support like wellbeing support, counseling, career support etc. You also compare your chosen university with other uni in the uk, in terms of tuition fees, course accreditation and course modules (very important). You must mention other Uk universities you had interest to attend. This makes you avoid genetic answers.
You’re expected to compare Uk to other countries like us, Canada or Australia. Compare your chosen university with 1 or 2 universities in these countries.
Know a few stuff about the city the university is situated |

Forumscroller: just did a quick check and Sunderland is £17k+ maybe you’re using last year fees as reference, fees go up every year. If you deduct their £4,500 deduction, you have £12.5k

alabajay: 😆.. £18.4k after an £8k discount is crazy imo. How do you guys intend to pay the £15.4k balance within 1year after the initial £3k deposit? Man there are cheaper options out there.. why always chasing schools that offer low tuition deposit instead of overall low tuition fees. Anyway goodluck! Omo I shock o It’s way too high and there are cheaper schools like ulster, Northumbria and Sunderland |

Mindlog: Those coming through the study route should be more intentional about the courses they are opting for because it makes no sense studying courses that gives little or no chance of getting skilled worker visa.
Limiting this to my own field, I did my Msc. in Clinical Child Psychology and presently work in the children services of a London borough, under the safeguarding and corporate parenting unit.
Courses and work experience related to children, increases one's chances of getting a skilled worker visa as the demand for skilled workers in that sector is very high in both the private and public sector. What courses would you recommend for someone with engineering background and offshore experience going for masters to have a chance in getting sponsorship after the masters program |
