if i were in your shoes,

i would upload any available credential i have and submit them as well to my department.

then i will re-upload the right credentials later as soon as i have them.

the important thing right now is finishing your online application form and printing your acknowledgement slip which will be needed to write the exam.

you can switch from full-time to part-time (and vice-versal) depending on if your department of choice offers both options.

to do so, you will need to re-login to your application form online and choose 'part-time' under Mode of Study Being Applied For?. then print it or just leave it. you can also re-submit the re-printed form to your department if you wish.

sometimes, the department can fix it (i.e full-time only or part-time only).

from experience, in my case...... i applied for part-time but when i was admitted, my department cancelled part-time and i had no choice but to settle for full-time along side with my colleagues.

if both courses are in the same faculty, then it is highly possible.

but please, confirm from your department of choice.

sometimes, unilag can be course selective.

hope you collected the phone number of one of the staff so you could always call to find out when the p.g coordinator for french will return.

this would avoid you visiting unilag periodically.

here is how to switch to your preferred course (before the exam commences)

1. log into your spgs application online


2. change your data to the new course (make sure you are qualified otherwise,

you just lost the admission, even if you scored 120% in the exams)


3. after that print out and submit in the new department


4. retrieve the form you submitted earlier and replaced with this.

it all depends on the period you round up your service and obtain your nysc certificate as this will be needed for presentation during registration.

for instance if the pgd exam holds by feburary 2014 and the result is out by march and registration starts april, if you can get your nysc certificate before or by april during the registration. then you are good to go.

meanwhile, forms are still on sale.
