Emuoha local government chairman should reinstate all the sacked staff as was done by other local governments and their funds will be released to them.

No sane person will vote for the candidate of APC in Edo state. Nominating someone like Monday Okpebholo to be the flag bearer of APC is an insult on the on the intelligence of Edo people.
A man who can not make a simple and correct sentence. To even worsen the situation, they also nominated Dennis Idahosa who was sacked as Commissioner by Oshiomhole on an allegation that he was a fraudster as his running mate. This is one joke taken too far.
APC have qualified candidates from Edo Central who can fly their flag. People like Professor Osariemen Osunbor a professor of law and Engr Mike Onolenmemen former Minister of Works. These people were screened out to pave way for a mediocre like Monday Okpebholo.

Instead of campaigning to tell Edolites on what he has to offer, all they do is to keep mentioning Obaseki this Obaseki that.
Obaseki increased minimum wage, the complained.
He launched Emergency Management Service, they complained.
He launched 1 billion naira free feeding programm, they are still complaining.
Asue Ighodalo is the right man for the job and Edolites will vote massively for him.
We don't vote for parties here. We vote for the most suitable candidate for the job.
Okpebholo should quietly continue to take his back seat at the Senate.

A man that wrote WAEC at age 36 want to rub shoulders with Asue Ighodalo. God forbid.

It seems there's an unwritten rule among governors not to let their deputies become governors. Philip Shaibu was loyal to Godwin Obaseki and even followed him to the PDP when he clashed with Adams Oshiomhole.

There is a general consensus in Edo that Governorship should rotate among the three senatorial districts which are Edo South, Edo North and Edo Central.
First it was Lucky igbinedio from Edo South (8 years) then Osariemen Osunbor Edo Central (18 months) but his election was annuled and Oshiomhole Edo North took over (8 years).
After Oshiomhole, it was Obaseki from Edo South. Obaseki in his wisdom and magnanimity insisted that for fairness, equity and justice, the Governorship should go to Edo Central. This was generally agreed upon.
From nowhere, Shaibu came out that he want to take over from Obaseki but Obaseki said no because it's the turn of Edo Central whereas Shaibu is from Edo north. Even if power is to shift back to Edo North, it can not go to Shaibu because both Shaibu and Oshiomhole are cousins.
Shaibu is just a selfish politician who thinks he can stampede Obaseki to support his selfish ambition.

Obaseki was the only Governor in Nigeria paying 40k minimum wage without oweing any worker while others were struggling to pay 30k. Now he has increased it to 70k you are complaining. Was it because of election he increased to 40k in 2020?

Nonsense. APC should also pay workers their own Arbas gift.

We know the game plan.
All these attacks on Obaseki by APC is simply because he increased minimum wage for Edo civil servants from 40k to 70k as against the 30k being paid by the federal government.

What APC can not achieve at the national level, Obaseki has achieved it at the state level.

Obaseki has truly desmonstrated what leadership is all about.
At a time when other state governors are complaining that they can't pay 30k minimum wage, Obaseki was paying 40k without owning any worker or pensioner.
Now he has once again raised the bar by increasing it to 70 whereas the Federal government are still going back and forth.

Government can increase minimum wage to reflect the present economic situation without setting up any committee. Just see the analysis of how Obaseki arrived at the new minimum wage.

If not for looting, wickedness and greed, the Federal and all state governors can comfortably pay 100k as minimum wage and heaven will not fall. Just see how much Emefiele, Betta Edu and Yahaya Bello alone stole.

My dear people of Edo state, this is how a Governor should spend the states money and not by using it to service political leaders.

Vote Asue Ighodalo to take Edo state to the next level. Say no to all those political buccaneers parading themselves as career politicians and leaders. Edo state must be govern by technocrats who would see salary as a right of workers and not a privilege.

Because the health workers were already earning well above 40k minimum wage as at then.
