Muslims in Rivers State have threatened to vote against Governor Nyesom Wike, in 2019 if he refuses to appoint a Rivers Muslim into his cabinet in the proposed minor cabinet reshuffle.

Wike had promised that there would be a minor cabinet reshuffle when he was swearing in four newly appointed Commissioners in the state some days ago.

Secretary, Supreme Council of Muslim Society, Rivers Chapter, Asalemi Ibrahim, said so far Governor Wike has turned his cabinet into a purely Christian affair, with indigenous Muslims marginalized.

“A situation where Muslims are not in his cabinet is unacceptable. We passionately appeal to him to look for credible Muslims in his party and appoint into his cabinet, especially now that he has hinted that there will soon be a minor cabinet.

“If that is not done, the Muslim community in Rivers state will have no option, but to vote for another candidate from another political party in 2019,” Asalemi Ibrahim threatens.

Governor Wike’s government is yet to react to the threat by Muslims.

However, Wike has never hidden his administration’s belief that Rivers is Christian state, he has even gone ahead to build Eucamunical Center as worship place for Christians of all denominations.

He also has a Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Bishop Winston Iwo.

Wike’s had in the past been commended by the Muslims in the state for sponsoring one of the highest contingent on pilgrimage to Mecca annually, even higher than states where citizens are predominantly muslims.

Despite that fact that conjugal rights are meant to be enjoyed by married couple, a Zimbabwean woman from Zvinei Village under Chief Nemangwe in Gokwe reportedly dumped her husband because she could no longer tolerate his insatiable appetite for se_x.

Farai Mutandavare (42) told how lovemaking sessions with her husband Fatty Makumbe (59) had become “unbearable” because of his fondness of using traditional se_x-enhancing drugs that makes him last longer in bed.

Mutandavare complained to Chief Nemangwe’s traditional court that she was no longer enjoying making love with her husband because apart from being left bruised, he demanded se_x every day-about five times- and would not allow her to rest.

She said her husband became se_xually aroused by the slightest movement, for example, whenever she bends over before him or by even simply walking across a room.

Mutandavare said despite the hectic love sessions, her husband wanted her to do everything for him.

“Farai (Mutandavare) complained that the major problem with her husband is that he loves to drink traditional se_x enhancing drugs and when he takes the herbs, in bed he would be like someone possessed. She said even when she complained that she was tired and was not in the mood he would force himself on her.

Just when you feel you have seen it all, another drama comes up.

A Kenyan man was arrested and charged in court for allegedly stealing panties at Muthurwa Market.

Samuel Mwangi Ongao, 24, was accused that on the diverse dates between January 26 and 27, he stole 50 panties valued at Sh16, 000, belonging to Zelpah Rehema.

According to police records, Rehema closed shop and retired home, but the next day, she found the goods missing.

The guard informed her that they had reported the matter to cops.

Mwangi was arrested after he was found reselling the panties.

He denied the charges and was set free on Sh10, 000 cash bail. The case will be heard on May 9.

The Lawmaker Representing Ahoada East Constituency 2 at the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Ehie Ogerenye Edison on Friday 2nd of February 2018, escaped Death after a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and Legal Adviser of the Party in the State Barr Ben Eke stabbed him at the forehead with a Bear Bottle.

According to PUO: At about 9:26pm at the Residence of the Senator Representing Rivers West Senatorial District Senator Osinakachukwu Ideozu in Port Harcourt, at a stakeholders meeting convened by the Senator to discuss the replacement of the CTC Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government after the expiration of term of the previous Chairman last Wednesday.

Reports have it that trouble erupted when Hon Edison made a statement urging the Party Leaders to accept the decision of the largest number of stakeholders in the Issue which is usually the normal thing in the PDP,but his statement did not go down well with Barr Ben Eke the State Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Rivers State who is nursing a Chairmanship ambition.
It was gathered that Barr Ben Eke who has always been on the opposing side with the Senators views, haven known that the decision of the largest number of stakeholders present won’t favour him, launched the attack on the Lawmaker and stabbed him with a “Brandy Bottle”.
Hon Ehie Edison is presently undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Portharcourt.

Sources revealed that the venue of the meeting was filled with blood after the ugly violent act.
