The crocodile Smiles at his tears And the leopard can no Growl, as he hide his courageous Face to the swampy creek in the Haven The shark swings Over the boiling water That was once peaceful He can no longer penetrate To the depth of the sea as he Takes solace on the surface of the water The palm fronts Reluctantly obeying The stormy wind that has Almost blown every roof naked The beautiful Couple, casted Net to the empty River that was once Seen as our modest Hero And the river Is now flooded With gas flaring That has burnt our Fishes to ashes and The burning gas dances To the rhythms of heartless Kings The sun... Now hiding His glory on Our glorious Land As he kisses the bare Foot of darkness, Oh sun! I call you to shine over darkness Now! Where is truth? Where is justice? And where is Service? Have they gone green? But the grasses are not greener No! Noo! Not at all... They've gone to dine In the parlour of the swampy Haven

A nice piece but I suggest your first line should have gone thus... When will the streets be clean To be Free And Healthy To be in Peace? |
I slept over my dreams And these dreams Took me to 1980's and 1990's I saw 2002, 2005 And 2009 walked to my corridors Their apparel, figured the Scars of 1967 The scars are indelible in the land It was never a rosy land But the land of Golgotha Where Jesus was crucified And you've been crucified as lazy youths The pains of Golgotha are fresh As the morning Dew. The pains raped my morning Joy Raped my white bedspread with stenchy blood stains. To make my virgin blood cry for help Just there... My tears, felt no future in the past But the regrets of yesterday And I realized... I wasted Today regretting Yesterday And the thoughts of Yesterday Snatched My Today But that is in the past So on this day... I pledge with every breath I breathe To walk pass my past As I live in memory of the future |
ELVISHOT:I guess it was Buhari, Amaechi, the Nigerian Military and Co. that instructed that clueless soldier to dehumanize the young man. I am not a fan of the clueless govt |
The drums of Anfield echoed in my bedroom Loud as the noisy neighbours of the city That took me to 7:45 I could barely devour the taste in my lips as the plates looked at me angrily All I could see is 50685 people seated in red and blue stripes And my heart couldn't exhume the thoughts bowing to the thunderous sounds of "We Never Walk alone"! The sounds of "We Never Walk alone summoned me to the front row I saw blood in every red I saw anger in every red stripe Anger that was hovering around like red bulb without the rays of light Fear gripped my inner peace as I trembled on empty feet But I could take solace on a false history History of the reds on historic nights And I finally saw determination and courage hugging every red passionately! They sang continuously... "Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of a storm There's a golden sky And sweet silver song a lark Walk on through the wind Walk on through the rain Though your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, Walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone Walk on, Walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone They continued in this melodious tone... Just like rendezvous! One came, in one and two Two came, in two and one And three came, in three and one It was a night to remember! But the longer night comes in a fortnight... #Dedicatedtoallliverpoolfcfans #SUNDAYERNESTOYINMIEBI |
My head aches My spine shrinks My face wrinkles My vein spills blood And my chest freezes to the unfreezing breeze The Lakes cooling my angry heart that now sees lies as truth... There was a country... A country that was bewitched by witches and wizards Witches without a wish Wizards without wisdom Together! They bewitched this infallible land I was not there I was only part of history The lines in this history is what made history historical... How do I pass this history to my young historians? I now have a problem with history But with history they must get this history Chibok was mocked Chibok was traumatized and stigmatized Chibok was asked to face her distant destiny Dapchi went for honeymoon with her luggage's and treasures She was hailed and celebrated with the loudest drums The bewitched wondered in dismay as their lips held sway The witches and wizards danced to their shrines with joy Here it comes! There was a country that was bewitched... SUNDAY ERNEST OYINMIEBI Ďä ĺÿŕìčàĺ põéť |
With empty heart I came... Wandering helplessly in the desert My heart shrinks to the nocturnal echoes Fearful I was but all hopes wasn't dashed I looked up to your blooming shrine With a native chalk in my right hand And a white fowl on my forehead You beckoned courageously... And I walked slowly to this scary path in November 2017 Slowly and steadily! I am at the feet of this shrine I have come to worship you in truth Worship at your golden feet Cos your love has enveloped my inner peace Please! leave me not to slumber As I come humbly to your shrine Shrine of poetry shine on me... You are the sweet red wine in the lips of the ignorant They taste your bitter sweet savour to blossom their ignorant lips Their ignorant lips hold you in high esteem They dine in your exalted table They taste you rapidly as the joyous moon They have found everlasting joy in your wicked dynasty... Please would allow them to perish in conscious ignorance? I beseech you to tell them who you are They have known you for the wrong reasons They celebrate your wicked atrocities How can you do this to these young men? I didn't expect that from you Why can't you tell them the truth? Why can't you tell them what you are capable to damage? How long would you hide what you can damage from them? But wait, how did you manage to malign them? Well, I don't blame you... I blame their naiveness I blame them cos they fail to know you They rather worship you in ignorance Oh! You make my precious tears to shove through my golden cheeks My heart bleeds as the bloods of the virgins cry... What about those who had countless scars cos you work through these young men My dear, if I were you... I would take myself to the walls of kirikiri Make kirikiri my humble abode till they get their sanity Or can you tell the government to take you where you belong ? Till you cease to exist... A war without bloodshed War without ballistic missiles War without tears and mourning A war with pleasure! Pleasures at its disposal A generational war Adam fought this war Abraham fought this war Isaac fought this same war My grandfather fought this war till he went beneath the earth My Dad fought this war and still fighting... What a war? A war without bloodshed A war filled with pleasures (treasures) There had been no winner and there can never be a winner... They say I must fight this war Oh! How scared I was... The man in me sprang up He wore his fighting boot and went ahead Fully armed and he never relented I am fighting this war A just war I must fight My beloved ones are fighting this war Never you fight cos you love fighting Fight a just war Fight a glorious war as I am fighting... I will fight You will fight We must fight Fight and handover the batten to our children I pray we succeed and never be victorious I wonder... I only wonder why Jesus never fought this war How can he fight when his father Joseph ran away at first... It's never his fault A spirit being sent to salvage the inequalities in this war.. I anticipated a longer night Longer than twilight I will sit at my golden seat Counting the stars till 12 am I will surely take refuge in the moon Till 6 am I shall dream no dream Now! it's 1am My bed scanty as a grave I will surely take solace cos she is a thousand mile away... My eyes gaze straight to the clock once again It ticks slowly as never been It's 1:15 already Behold! She made her way to my lifeless bed Planted a kiss to my thirsty lips And sent me to the gate of life She turned darkness to light Her hands serenely fell wounding my neck My hands locked horns against her fast rising chest I slowly and secretly walked past her thighs She screamed silently to my deaf ears But they could hear her heart beat faster than a talking drum... Oh! This is where I wanted to be on a val night My eyes saw reality at 6 am My pillow was my companion My bed was scanty as it were And dreams weren't true this time... BY: SUNDAY ERNEST OYINMIEBI |
I see focused tears Shoving the cheeks of the green regalia A once beautifully decorated giant ! Resting softly in it's place, then with blink of an eye It slowly began to loose it's strength in the hands of maladroits Yearning for help but no helper Now! Weak and shivering... You got pot belly with corruption They over fed you with poverty and stagnation Richly endowed with crime Steadily loosing his status Philosophically confused Politically dehumanized Economically raped Religiously fallible And holistically gullible Now! You are weeping uncontrollably Would please wipe the golden tears of the green regalia? Lower! Lower!! and still lower it's falling Why? But why? What did I do that was so mysterious? What did I do to deserve this? God knows me more than anything... I felt like I didn't deserve it So why me? I seem to understand... The parasites love me because of my paradise This paradise is not eternal These parasites make my paradise eternal Oh! There will be eyes, cheeks floating glorious hairs and chin I believe there will be a glowing smile I know things happen for a reason But I see reflections bouncing of tears They will be bouncing of the biggest tears ever seen For they will be tears of Joy Look closely and you can see my face shining back It's such a beautiful face you know...
