A pastor with the popular Redeemed Christian Church of God has been brutally assaulted by Nigerian soldiers.

Alex Ochienu, a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abuja, has been brutally beaten up by soldiers, Punch Metro reports.
The man said he was assaulted and beaten by two soldiers into a coma for refusing to obey their order to do frog jumps.

The cleric alleged that he was flogged by Cpl. M. Dankwa and his colleague whose name he did not know, until he collapsed and was rushed to the Gwarimpa General Hospital where he was admitted at the Emergency ward.

The civil engineer said he was supervising construction works at Paradise Estate, Life Camp, Abuja when the soldiers invaded the site with officials of the Development Control Department and assaulted him and other workers.

Ochienu told Northern City News on Tuesday that the soldiers beat him with rifle butts and kicked him in the stomach simply because he told them he could not obey their order to do frog jumps as he was fasting.

The engineer said he lost his phone during the incident which occurred on January 17, 2017 at 3pm.
According to Punch Metro, Ochienu said despite his pleas to the rampaging soldiers that he was fasting, they refused to listen, but rather flogged him until he collapsed.

He said, “The soldiers rushed into the site and ordered everyone to frog-jump; they flogged the workers and threatened to shoot us. I tried to explain to them that I was weak because I was fasting, but Dankwa was infuriated by my explanation.

“He kicked me in the stomach; another soldier also joined in beating me till I collapsed. When they saw that I was almost lifeless, they left and I was rushed to the hospital by the workers.”

The cleric said he learnt the soldiers apologised to the owners of the estate “for their mistake.”
But Ochienu said he planned to take legal action against the Development Control Department and the military for the assault.

The Paradise Estate Project Manager, Tobias Tokbe, said he was not at the scene, but added that beside Ochienu, another worker, Bem Ali, was also brutalised by the soldiers without any reason.

He said, “I was discussing with the development control officials at the project office when I saw some workers carrying somebody and they told me Ochienu was beaten by the soldiers that accompanied the development control officials to the site; I was livid.

“I immediately called the development control director who said he didn’t authorise the soldiers to attack anyone. We asked the soldier why he beat up the engineer and he said Ochienu grabbed his jacket, which we know was a lie.”

Tokbe said the riot policemen guarding the estate almost fought with the soldiers after the incident.

When contacted, the Development Control Director, Muktar Galadima, said he was informed about the incident and “I said sorry, but I didn’t see the victim of the attack.”

A 10-year-old kid, names withheld, recently shocked her parents after she was caught caressing and kissing her brother’s manhood in Lagos community.

The young girl, a pupil of a private primary school in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State, after being caught in the abominable act claimed she has deflowered by her teacher.

Recalling the incident, the mother said, “I noticed my daughter was kissing her brother’s manhood. When I asked her where she learnt that from, she started shivering and claimed that it was nothing.

“I took her inside like a mother would do, then she opened up that it was actually what she viewed on her teacher’s laptop.
“So, I asked her for more details. She said when the lesson was over; the teacher would play pornographic videos for her to watch.
“And after that, he would start caressing her until he penetrates her with his manhood and fingers.

“From what she said, it happened about four or five times.

“We reported the case to the police and investigation showed that she was defiled.”

The ‘X’ Squad of the Zone 2 Police Command, Lagos, on Thursday paraded Stanley Akanno and Olakunle Hassan, the two teachers identified by the girl as her abusers.

But both of them Akanno said, “I am a parent as well. If I were to be the parent of the child, I would have started my investigation at home.

“According to the girl’s mother, the girl kissed the elder brother’s manhood and that was how she came to know about it.

“If she kissed the elder brother’s manhood, once, twice and thrice, it means this is what they have been doing. Unfortunately, they were caught on that day. She should have started her investigation at home.”

Hassan, who also denied the allegations, said, “I was told she claimed that she walked up to me and whispered in my ear telling me that she wanted to suck my manhood and that I took her to a corner and asked her where she leant it from and that I just pulled my trousers down and she started sucking. the allegations.

According to the police, it had been medically established that she had been deflowered.

“I have a laptop which was seized on Friday and they could not find anything like that (pornography) in it. I don’t know where this is coming from but I know that God will vindicate me.”

A petty thief who stole a goat in a community in Edo State was made to parade around the town with the animal on his back.

A young man who stole a goat in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, got more than he bargained for after he was caught by residents of the area.
The thief was caught around the Eweka area in the town by residents as he tried to steal the goat which was tied in a field by its owner.
The crowd was said to have stripped the suspect, beat him mercilessly and paraded around the town with the goat before he was taken to Ivbiotor Police Station at Dumez Road in uBenin City and handed over to the officers.

A mother who is living with the HIV virus has been arrested and charged to court for allegedly having sex with her own son in Zimbabwe.

A woman who is living with the HIV virus was busted by residents while having unprotected sex with her 26-year-old son in Zimbabwe.
MyZimbabwe reports that the woman whose husband died of the dreaded disease, was nabbed by residents in the Kenzamba Business Centre, Makonde District of the country and the duo have arraigned in court for engaging in an incestuous relationship.
The middle-aged woman from the Madzudzo Village and her son were allegedly caught in the act on November 17, 2016, by a neighbour who noticed some strange behaviour with them as they were often seen sneaking into their house and closing the door behind them.
On the day they were caught, it was gathered, they had once again gone into their room and locked the door.
But when they would not come out after a long time, the neighbour sneaked to the window to peep in and saw the two of them having sex.
The neighbour then informed others who went to the house and busted them.
When they appeared before Chinhoyi Magistrate, Brenda Dhliwayo, they pleaded guilty to the crime and were convicted on their own guilty plea and remanded in custody.

Residents of a community in Osun State have been thrown into panic after they got a letter from armed robbers intimating them of their visit.

Residents of Kelebe Community in Osogbo, the capital of the State of Osun, have been thrown into a panic after they received an anonymous letter purportedly from armed robbers intimating them of an impending visit.
Total Media reports that the letter was written in the Yoruba language and circulated in the area by unknown people, clearly told the residents to be prepared for the visit as the robbers would not entertain any excuse of lack of money.
It was gathered that the letter has caused a lot of anxiety and fear with many of the resident relocating from the area.
A landlord in the community who spoke on the receipt of the letter hinted that some people had to relocate for fear of being attacked by the robbers.
The spokesperson of Kelebe Landlords Association, Hakeem Bolarinwa, told journalists that the warning was real and called on police and other security agencies in the state to set up necessary security measures that would ensure the safety of residents of the area.
However, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Fimihan Adeoye, has told the people to discountenance the letter, assuring them that security would be tightened in the area as policemen would be deployed there to provide a 24-hour security.

A wicked woman has been arrested in Kenya for allegedly sacrificing her own son to devil worshippers because of money
A 26-year-old woman from the Kiamuguongo Village in Ndia Constituency, Kirinyaga County, Kenya, has been arrested for allegedly using her eight-year-old son as a sacrifice.
The woman is reported to have sacrificed her son after receiving the sum of KSh 20,000 (N61,901) from devil worshippers.
Kenya Daily reports that the woman who was arrested by police officers attached to the Baricho Police Station, allegedly confessed to sacrificing her son to the devil worshippers living in Nairobi’s South C area.
Confirming the incident, Kirinyaga West OCPD, Mohammed Huka, said police arrested the suspect after receiving a tip-off from villagers that the woman had killed her son.
“Officers apprehended the woman when she was taking the boy’s body to Karatina District Hospital mortuary.
After interrogations, she confessed to being a devil worshipper and that her cult leader had asked her to sacrifice her son.
This is the first incident of such nature in Kirinyaga County since I was posted here,” Huka told Daily.
Huka added that the suspect will remain in police custody for 14 days as investigations into the matter continue and thereafter, she will be arraigned in Baricho Law Court.

Another tragedy was averted after elders intervened and stopped a crowd from lynching a young thief said to be 10-years-old after he stole a huge amount of money and some mobile phones.
According to a Facebook user, Moses Bamidele, the young boy who is known to their household, had visited them as they prepared for a ceremony, slept over but while leaving the following money, he was nabbed with the stolen items.
Bamidele who narrated how the boy was rescued by elders from angry youths.
"Last week, 7-year-old boy got burnt to ash for stealing garri, claiming he was hungry. Today is my dad's turbaning.
This boy came to our house yesterday, ate our Eba, disguised to be part of us, slept in my grandma's room and stole our money and phones.
He left very early this morning, but unfortunately for him, we caught him. Don't trust anyone, and be careful with who so ever you mingle with."
Just last week, there was turmoil in the land when a jungle justice video of a purported boy being beaten and burnt to death by a crowd in Lagos, with many condemning the actions of the crowd.

A 33-yr-old man has been released on bail after being accused of causing his lover's death.

A 33-year-old man has been granted bail in the sum of N100,000 by a Chief Magistrates court in Surulere, Lagos for allegedly causing the death of his lover.
Daily Post reports that the accused identified as Emeka Ajezuwho resides at Monkey Village in the Maza-Maza area of the state was faced with the charge of “causing death by negligence.”
Ajezu's lover reportedly drank Sniper insecticide after he refused to accept the responsibility of her pregnancy.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Anthonia Osayande told the court that Ajezu was dating 17-year-old Chisom Ekwere, and impregnated her.
He said, “But when she became pregnant for him, Ajezu refused to take responsibility for the pregnancy because he was planning to get married to another woman.
“Late Ekwere’s elder sister took her to the house of the accused and she started living with him while still pregnant."
Osayande added that the accused later told the deceased that he was going to his village to wed another woman.
According to the prosecutor, the suicide note left behind by the deceased indicated that she was heartbroken by Ajezu's behaviour, which was why she drank the insecticide.
Osayande said that the offence contravened Sections 227 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011.
Daily Post reports that Ajezu pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Chief Magistrate, Ipaye Nwachukwu, also ordered Ajezu to provide two sureties in like sum. The Court adjourned the matter until December 20 for further hearing.

A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 years in jail for impersonation and fraud.
A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by a Makurdi Magistrates’ Court for impersonation and fraud.
The suspect identified as Gideon Chubu reportedly impersonated a soldier and duped a mobile police officer of N40,000.
Punch reports that Chubu was arraigned on a two-count charge, bordering on cheating and impersonation which both contravene Section 326 of the Penal Code Laws of Benue, 2004.
The prosecutor, Insp. Gabriel Agbadu, told the court that one Cpl. Elija Ikwe, attached to 13 Police Mobile Force, Makurdi, reported the matter at ‘C’ Division Police Station, Makurdi on November 6.
According to the reports, Ikwe met Chubu who introduced himself as a soldier serving with the Chief of Defence Staff in Abuja, at Wurukum roundabout, Makurdi, on October 26.
Ikwe reported that the convict deceptively collected N40,000 from him, promising to help enlist his younger brother into the Nigerian Army.
Punch reports that the convict was later discovered to have converted the money to his personal use, as he was not a soldier.
The prosecutor revealed that Chubu was arrested during the police investigation into the case and that the suspect confessed to the crime. Chubu who pleaded guilty to the crime, begged the court for leniency.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs Lillian Tsumba, who noted that the convict was a first time offender, said the sentence was to serve as a deterrent to others.
Chubu was also ordered to pay back the sum of N40,000 he fraudulently collected from the policeman.

Eric Aniva, a popular sex worker from Malawi who claimed he had sex with 104 women and girls as part of an ‘initiation ritual’ despite being HIV positive will appear in court on Friday for his expected verdict.

In July, Eric was arrested on presidential orders after he admitted in an interview with BBC that he had unprotected sex with girls as young as 12 or 13 years old.
‘Most of those I have slept with are girls, school-girls, some girls are just 12 or 13 years old, but I prefer them older. All these girls find pleasure in having me as their hyena.
They actually are proud and tell other people that this man is a real man; he knows how to please a woman.’
After his arrest, none of the girls he assaulted came forward to testify against him until two women gave in evidence during his trial after he also confessed to have had sex with newly bereaved widows as part of the ‘cleansing ritual’, according to BBC report.

Aniva who is also being charged with having sex with bereaved widows, which is outlawed under Malawi's Gender Equality Act, will know his faith on Friday, November 18, and if he is convicted he would face possible jail term in Prison.

Friday, November 18, 2016.

A Nigerian man on death row in Singapore, Chijioke Stephen Obioha, will be executed on Friday, November 18, 2016, after he was sentenced to death for drug trafficking.
Obioha who was arrested on April 9, 2007, with 2,604.56 grammess of cannabis in the Asian country, was found guilty and sentenced to death in November 2008.
According to Amnesty International (AI), all appeals for a stay of execution by the convict has been rejected and by the law of the country, trafficking more than 500 grammes of cannabis attracts the death penalty.
Efforts by AI to plead for clemency for Obioha, a University of Benin Industrial Chemistry graduate, has met the brick walls, despite his pleas that he was set up in a sting operation.
A statement signed by Rafendi Djamin, Amnesty International’s Director for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, reads:
"The Singapore government still has time to halt the execution of Chijoke Stephen Obioha.
We are dismayed that clemency has not been granted in his case but remain hopeful that they won’t carry out this cruel and irreversible punishment against a person sentenced to the mandatory death penalty for a crime that should not even be punished by death.
The death penalty is never the solution. It will not rid Singapore of drugs. By executing people for drug-related offenses, which do not meet the threshold of most serious crimes, Singapore is violating international law.
Most of the world has turned its back on this ultimate cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment.
It is about time that Singapore does the same, starting by restoring a moratorium on all executions as a first step towards abolition of this punishment."
Also, appeals made by the convict's family for clemency has been rejected and the date has been set, unless the president of the country sets aside the execution.

If you do regularly engage in the following things, then it might be safe to say that you bear some culpability for that prolonged, undesired state of singleness you're in now.

1 You have absurd requirements
If you need a partner and your mental requirements are just outrageous and totally unreasonable, then you have to know that getting into a relationship will very likely be difficult for you.

2 You don't put yourself out there
If you always vote for staying indoors rather than going out and engaging in activities every once in a while, then you could find it difficult to get what you want.

Be outgoing, get involved in a reasonable amount of activities, chances of meeting someone will be increased in that way, instead of waiting for Miss Right to come meet you right on your bed, in your dog-guarded house.

If the problem is that you are scared or shy of meeting new people, then you have to somehow overcome that fear.

3 Terrific on social media, terrible in reality
One of the downsides of having social media in this age is that people are now 'live all all their lives' on social media, forgetting how to actually relate and converse with people in real life.

If you are a really friendly, easy-to-relate-with, humorous, witty person on social media, you have to balance that by being just as good, [or at least, very close to that] in real life.
This is because at some point, that girl you are chatting and vibing with on social media will expect to see you a date.

Ozo Okafor, has been suspended by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the National Vice Chairman (South-East).
According to a report by Daily Trust, Okafor's suspension is coming following his alleged anti-party activities.

Okafor's suspension was made known to the public by the South East Working Committee in Awka on Thursday, November 3, 2016.
The committee reportedly found Okafor's recent activities to be against the interest of the political party.

The communiqué was signed by eight members out of the nine members of the NWC which include Ocheze Ubani, Woman Leader; Eugene Obi, Financial Secretary; John Iwuala, Organising Secretary and Henry Uzom, Youth Leader; Alex Ani, Treasurer; Francisca Ogadi, Ex-Officio; Jones Salem, Ex-Officio and Chief Smart Iheoma.

The communique read: "It said that the anti-party activities contravened Articles 21(1) (g) (k) (i) (n) and 22(1) (C) (d) (e) (h) and (h) of APGA’s Constitution as amended.

“Sequel to the self-induced crisis currently instigated by some members of NWC of APGA and spearheaded by National Vice Chairman South-East, Ozo Okafor, we resolve as follows:

“That Ozo Okafor is suspended as a result of glaring anti-party activities, which he has been engaged in and in total breach of Articles 21(1)(g)(k)(i) (n) and 22(1)(C)(d)(e)(h) and (h) of APGA Constitution as amended.

“That we the South-East Working Committee appoint Chief Smart Iheoma as the Acting National Vice Chairman, in addition to his position as Assistant National Publicity Secretary, pending outcome of report of our disciplinary committee,” the communiqué stated.

Barely three weeks to the Ondo State governorship election, the PDP flagbearer, Jimoh Ibrahim has lost his lawyer, Alex Izinyon.
According to a report by Daily Post, Izinyon has withdrawn from the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party's case over complicated reasons.

The news of Izinyon's termination of contract with Ibrahim is coming days after a three-man panel of judges led by Justice Jummai Sankey backed out from Ibrahim's case at the Court of Appeal.

The Justice Sankey led panel had reportedly backed out ‎following a petition by Biyi Poroye, factional chairman of the PDP in Ondo.
Poroye had alleged that Sankey had not only taken bribe from Olusegun Mimiko, the governor of the state, but was prone to corruption because she had expended a lot of money on an “illness that made her broke”.

Furthermore, Justice Sankey alleged that Izinyon knew about the Poroye's petition and this led to his decision to back out of the case.In a letter to Ibrahim, Izinyon said: “But with the development of 1/11/2016, it abates and will start with a new panel. With what happened yesterday (Tuesday) in court, in the matter associated with CA/A551C/M/2016, in Mr. Taut Jegede’s motion, you will recall that my person was indicted by the presiding justice as having a fore knowledge of the petition written by the 1st respondent (Poroye) despite my protest and innocence.

“It is in this regard that I hereby withdraw from further appearance. This is to enable you brief another lawyer who shall take over the file. We will forward the file and the processes to your personal assistant forthwith," Izinyon's letter to Ibrahim read in parts.

Jimoh Ibrahim had been involved in several legal battles since his emergence as the PDP flagbearer for the Ondo governorship election.

A 22-year-old lady has just been reported dead. The lady was allegedly killed by her former lover and sponsor for dumping him.

A close friend to the lady took to his Facebook account to post pictures of the lady, describing how she was killed. He said:

“This beautiful lady was only 22yrs old, she was killed by her sponsor for dumping him. The guy had spent a lot on her education, but after she graduated she decided to dump him & went to live with her boyfriend.
