The Rivers State House of Assembly has resumed plenary session after a six-month suspension imposed during the State of Emergency.

The Martin Amaewhule-led Assembly last held plenary on March 12, 2025 prior to the Emergency rule imposed by President Bola Tinubu.

He never said the PDP Presidency he wouldn't come because he went to the last convention and said he see Nigeria calling him to serve again hence the chant GEJ GEJ everywhere.

No one gave him such a condition. But to appeal to people in his desperation, he gave himself such a condition that would make him sell, but overall a disadvantage to the Ndigbos. Honestly, Tinubu's team is doing their best in these hard times , defending the naira like this isn't unusual; even advanced economies like japan and china actively intervene to stabilise their currencies. It's all about buying time while deeper economic reforms kick in.
