Did you get the codes before or after replacing those parts?

They were there when I bought it...we thought it was just a failed oxygen sensor...when we went to check the sensor, we found that the catalyst wasn't even there...
So I bought the catalyst and replaced one of the 02 sensors...the code still refuses to disappear. Though performance is ok, the gas mileage is very poor

Nope...just bought it Tokunbo... I've only replaced the catalyst and the 02 sensors...the catalyst was stolen.

My Acura MDX 2006 is consuming a lot of fuel (it's averaging 8 mpg)

It's showing PO172 and 175. I read a previous post where you said it's has to do with adjusting the valve. Can you please explain (in layman's terms) how to do it?

Or what's the solution (if not valve adjustment)?
